Chapter 81 I miss you so much
Pei Yizhou returned to Tanghu Mansion as he wished.

He didn't go back to his room, but lay on the sofa, watching Lin Lu cooking porridge in the kitchen.

The living room was still a little too big. He recalled that in his previous house, the distance between the living room and the kitchen was only two meters. He could see clearly from the sofa whether Lin Lu's apron tie in the kitchen was a single bow or a double bow.

"My appetite is not very good, so I can stay up less. Since we didn't make it to the restaurant, what are you going to eat dinner?" He couldn't help but ask, wanting Lin Lu to turn around.

He had seen her back too many times in his dreams.

Lin Lu added water to the casserole, not knowing what he was thinking, and said without turning her head: "I know. I called the restaurant and they said they could deliver it to your door."

Of course, you can’t waste the medicinal food you spent money on just because you don’t go.

"I can take care of myself, you just worry about yourself first." She cooked the porridge and walked back to the living room to tell Pei Yizhou to lie down.

"Are you dizzy after taking the medicine?"

Pei Yizhou answered honestly: "A little bit."

The voice was hoarse and the pitch was low and gentle.

She took the temperature again, shook her head and said, "You are usually fine when you are not sick, but when you are sick it's very alarming. You rarely catch a cold, but when you catch a cold you will definitely have a fever."

Pei Yizhou made small talk: "It may be due to my physical condition."

"I think it's because of sleep. Maybe you didn't sleep well because you took care of me the past two days, but shouldn't you have been so tired that you fell asleep as soon as you got home last night? But you can tell from one look that you didn't get enough rest." Lin Lu glanced at him.

Pei Yizhou was not aware of being criticized. He smiled helplessly when he was glared at, "You took all the medicine away. It's a bit difficult for me to fall asleep on my own."

"You've become dependent on it. If you can't sleep, why don't you close your eyes and listen to the news broadcast recording? Or play some white noise, wear an eye mask, or drink some sour jujube kernel products to help you sleep?" She suggested with a frown.

But they all shook their heads and rejected it.

"Lulu, do you know what the simplest and most effective way is?"

It is sleeping next to her, smelling her scent, without waking up to look for her, knowing that she is always within reach. Only this kind of peace of mind can make him truly fall asleep peacefully.

Lin Lu gave a fake smile: "You're thinking nicely."

Then he went back to the kitchen, stirred the rice in the casserole, and took a cup of hot water out.

"Your throat is sore from the meeting, stop talking and lie down."

Pei Yizhou lay down obediently.

But when you are sick, you feel uncomfortable everywhere. The movement of closing your eyes and moving your eyeballs feels like a broken gear struggling to mesh in mud that is about to dry up.

A warmth surged through the body, steaming the saliva in every part of the body.

When the porridge was ready, Lin Lu realized that he was sweating and couldn't focus his eyes accurately when he opened them.

"Get up and drink some porridge, and take your temperature again." She said in a soft voice.

Considering that Pei Yizhou had been ill several times, she had become accustomed to this process - the stage from sweating to feeling dizzy indicated that the medicine had begun to take effect, and then making sure she had food to eat and could fall asleep would mean that she was not far from recovering.

Pei Yizhou felt hot all over. He sat up and ate some porridge to fill his stomach, but then he felt too nauseous to eat anymore and shook his head weakly.

Lin Lu was about to take the bowl back to the kitchen, but when he turned around to leave, his hand was grabbed.

"Stay here and watch over me. I want to watch you." Pei Yizhou took a breath before finishing the sentence.

He spoke very weakly, his voice so hoarse that it was almost inaudible.

Lin Lu looked back at him, her face flushed red, her facial features indescribably gorgeous.

Perhaps the illness burned off a layer of his disguise, and the longing for his lover in his eyes was about to overflow with rising tears.

Her caught hand froze in mid-air and she did not react.

Pei Yizhou's eyes, which were burning brightly, drooped little by little and his hands loosened.

Lin Lu took a deep breath, put the bowl back to the kitchen as usual, took his temperature again, and then drank the medicinal food that was delivered to his door.

After doing all this, she sat down on the mushroom stool next to the sofa.

Pei Yizhou opened his eyes, smiled at her, and slid his left hand out of the blanket to grab her hand. It was the hand with the ring, and they held each other, his thumb gently rubbing the back of her hand.

If you look at it for two more seconds, it seems like she is missing a similar ring on her hand.

Lin Lu wanted to break free, but seeing how pitiful he was staring at her, she pursed her lips and acquiesced.

"Get well soon. The world is evolving so fast, why hasn't the treatment for fever evolved to the point where it takes only a few minutes to heal?"

Pei Yizhou's voice was hoarse and he didn't say anything. He just kept stroking her hands and pinching her fingers, as if he wanted to warm her cold skin with his body temperature.

"Close your eyes and go to sleep," she ordered rudely.

Pei Yizhou did as he was told, but he still kept his hand on it.

"LuLu." He called in a low voice.

Lin Lu: "You can't sleep, right? Didn't you say it's easy to sleep next to me? I think you're talking nonsense."

"No. I'm just, a little dizzy."

"Isn't it normal to feel dizzy? You'll fall asleep if you feel dizzy for a while." Although she said that, she still put her other hand against his forehead, trying to help cool him down artificially.

"I can't help you with your dizziness, but I remember there are fever-reducing patches now. I'll buy you some."

She was talking about ordering takeout, but Pei Yizhou thought she was going out, so he held her hand tightly to prevent her from moving: "No need."

One of his hands was grabbed, and the hand against his forehead was also held down. Lin Lu's posture was now very strange, and he had to lean forward to sit.

She glared at him: "Relax a little."

Pei Yizhou didn't let go, staring at her with his bloodshot eyes.

Seeing that she didn't frown or show any further displeasure, he went further and moved the hand that was on her forehead downwards.

He half-clenched the hand, and as if guiding it little by little, let his fingertips slide across the eyelids, the tip of the nose, and then touch the hot face.

The movements were slow, as if testing her patience.

It was so comfortable to touch a soft and cool hand against his hot cheek that Pei Yizhou couldn't help swallowing his Adam's apple, closing his eyes and rubbing the hand actively.

Rubbing was not enough, his hand was dragged to his lips, and he carefully kissed her palm.

He looked at her again after the kiss.

Lin Lu just looked at him like that and didn't stop him.

After a while, she fell silent and wiped the tears from his face with her fingertips.

Pei Yizhou didn't even realize that he was crying, but Lin Lu's kindness gave him hope.

So he continued to pull the hand down and put it on his neck.

The whole body of a person with a fever is hot, but the neck is a little different because the carotid artery is beating slightly. If you put your fingertips on it, you can feel the heartbeat like you put them on your chest.

“Lulu,” he smiled, but his breathing was not smooth, and he had to swallow constantly while crying and talking, “Lulu, Lulu…”

There was also a hint of moisture in Lin Lu's eyes.

"Stop talking."

She just scolded him but didn't pull her hand back.

Pei Yizhou then took advantage of the situation again and moved his hand upwards to hold her arm, then he pulled her down while turning his head.

He moved closer, and his hand slid down Lin Lu's neck to hold her face, his fingers touching her ears.

"I miss you so much. You haven't come to see me for a long time." He said, holding back the sobs in his voice.

Those eyes were filled with tears, and he couldn't see the expression in them clearly, nor could he see the person in front of him clearly.

"I miss you so much." He said again, a tear rolling down the corner of his eye.
