Chapter 585 198. Can’t answer the video call
"I went to Dog Town. How was it? I heard from the Sixth Street Gang that the group of Hellhounds were going crazy and were about to rush out of Dog Town to Night City to fight the locals."

“Overall, it’s worth the trip.”

Carl replied to Oliver who was lying on the sofa at home, glancing around a few times: "Where are Jack and V, what are they doing?"

"Boxing match. I heard there's a boxing champion in every district. Jack and V are planning to join in to make up for Old Wei's regret. So they're running around looking for people to fight with. Now it seems they've gone to the Animal Gang to fight."

"You didn't go with me?"

"I am somewhat interested in boxing, but Jack and V went to the boxing match."

Oliver gave Carl a look that said "you understand", and Carl understood.

"You can't lose at all, right?"

"Boxing is all about the excitement of competition. I've watched the recordings and videos of those boxing champions that T-BUG got, and it feels like that. It's a skill of theirs to be able to last three minutes against V and Jack."

"One round, huh?"

It seems that most boxing in Night City is done by knockout. Basically, the outcome can be decided in a three-minute round and will not be dragged on to the second round. For V and Jack, one round is indeed enough to compete with that group of people.

"Since Jack and V are not at home, why don't we ask T-BUG if she wants to go out for dinner? Why don't we go have a quick meal together?"

Karl looked at the sky outside and said, "I came back from Dog Town after a night of hard work. I'm hungry now."

"Take a shower first. You smell like dust. I'll go call T-BUG and tell him which restaurant we're going to eat at. We can actually cook for ourselves."

"No thanks, go out and eat and come back early. I'm going to sleep."

Having said this, Carl walked into the bathroom and began to undress and wash. As the cool water sprinkled on his body, Carl received a message from Blanca.

After refreshing himself, Carl thought for a moment and replied, "Next time. I'm going to go find a restaurant with Oliver and T-BUG to have a meal. I'm a little tired today. I'm going to go home and sleep after dinner. I may not be used to sleeping outside."

A while after Carl replied to the message, Blanca called him directly via video.

Carl pulled down a waterproof screen in the bathroom and transferred the video call to the screen.

This was originally a device installed by the original tenants of this floor, the gang leaders, so that they could receive important messages at any time while taking a shower. Now that Carl was using it as a communication screen, he was not so uncomfortable with it.

The video call was connected, and Carl saw Blanca's figure appear on the screen.

Blanca on the screen seems to be handling affairs at home. Next to her desk is a stack of documents that are transmitted on paper for confidentiality. After drying himself, Carl opened the compartment drying layer in the bathroom and randomly picked out a loose piece of clothing to put on.

As he walked out of the bathroom, Carl thought about the conversation just now and suddenly realized something.

It seemed that I just rinsed it briefly and forgot to use liquid cleanser to wash away any grease on my body.

'Next time, I won't be able to answer video calls while taking a shower.'
