From the Ming Dynasty, we will conquer the world
Chapter 210: The Birth of the Martial Classics, Reshaping the System
Chapter 210: The Birth of the Martial Classics, Reshaping the System (7200)
Although he was in a decayed body, alone, facing billions of ghosts, Fahai's state of mind was clearer than ever before, as if all the dust had been brushed away, and the bright pearl was shining again, ready to illuminate the mountains and rivers.
Compared to when he was the abbot, making careful calculations all day long and planning for his disciples, Fahai felt happier in his current situation.
Although the abbot of Jinshan Temple was praised as a natural born Buddhist since he first joined the sect, in fact, his way of practice and his original intention were completely different from those of Jinshan Temple.
Perhaps because he left home too early, Fahai felt extremely insecure for a long time.
Because of this, no matter what Fahai does, he will check it over and over again, and will not continue until he is sure that there are no mistakes.
As this situation developed, Fahai even found it difficult to accept any mysterious concepts from the bottom of his heart. He only believed in quantifiable evidence that he had tested with his own hands.
When Fahai first entered Jinshan Temple, his master, Zen Master Lingyou, taught him to chop wood and fetch water in order to strengthen his muscles and bones and sharpen his mind.
But what was beyond the expectations of Zen Master Lingyou was that although Fahai was born in the Pei family of Hedong, he was very adept at doing these things and strictly followed the precept of "no work, no food".
Zen Master Lingyou saw that although what Fahai did was in line with the Nanyue school's principle of "not seeking help from outside", his true heart was like living in a burning house, suffering greatly and never at peace.
Such people are not suitable for meditation and chanting, especially the method of sudden enlightenment of "sudden enlightenment in one thought, seeing the nature and becoming a Buddha".
However, Fahai's aptitude for enlightenment was truly rare in the world. Just by hearing a few mantras recited by his fellow disciples while chopping wood and fetching water, he was able to understand the mantra-chanting method on his own.
Even if such a person can truly see his true nature, I am afraid he will not be a blessing to the world.
Therefore, he found another teacher for Fahai to practice the "gradual cultivation" method of being down-to-earth and seeking knowledge step by step.
This is exactly what Fa Hai wants.
Although he had not practiced for a long time, he had his own insights into the principles in the scriptures.
In Fahai's view, many times, the so-called "sudden enlightenment" of the brothers and sisters in the temple were not truly "enlightened", but were granted supernatural powers because they were recognized by the gods and Buddhas who were in harmony with their own temperaments.
But if supernatural powers are so easy to obtain, doesn't it make it easier to fall into demonic possession?
Although Jinshan Temple will arrange for these disciples to return to the secular world for some training and to sharpen their Taoist heart, Fahai is well aware of one thing: whether or not one has supernatural powers has a huge impact on one's state of mind.
This approach is tantamount to closing the fold after the horse has bolted.
In Fahai's opinion, the "gradual cultivation" method, which requires ascetic practices and gradual accomplishments, is even more reliable.
So he practiced for nearly a hundred years, but what was beyond the expectations of the monks in Jinshan Temple was that even though Fahai practiced the gradual cultivation method that emphasized actual realization and asceticism, his realm still improved by leaps and bounds.
This sudden demonic calamity further proved that Fahai's worries were not groundless.
All the Buddhist masters who had received teachings from gods and Buddhas through visualization of Dharma images perished in the calamity. On the contrary, Fahai, who was determined to practice asceticism, was only minimally affected.
Nowadays, facing billions of ghosts, the reason why Fahai is so excited is because these existences can be completely quantified.
Every time he saves a ghost, he will be one step closer to the fruit of his desire.
For Fahai, this fact alone is enough.
The Eight Heavenly Dragon Fires burned fiercely in the frenzy of ghosts. Even though they had burned hundreds of ghosts, the eight fire dragons showed no signs of fatigue and were even more powerful than before.
In the void, there was even a sound of heavenly dragons chanting, as if eight heavenly dragons were chanting a passage of scripture in unison:
"All living beings have inherent awareness, like a mirror with brightness. Afflictions cover it, like dust on a mirror. When delusion is extinguished, the original nature becomes clear, just like the dust on a whisk is wiped out, and the mirror becomes bright. All things are perfect..."
Fahai was not clear about what consciousness was, but he knew that as long as he could cut off all false thoughts and eliminate evil roots such as greed, anger, and ignorance, he would naturally be able to see the true nature!
This is his empirical method!
Although Di Huaiying was far away from this place and already in the turbulent flow of the void, he could still clearly feel Fahai's obsession from the blazing Buddha light coming from behind him, and he couldn't help but sigh:
"It was originally the lineage of Master Shenxiu, but this obsession is too deep. I don't know whether it is a blessing or a curse..."
In the turbulent void, someone shook his head and said:
"It is both a great attachment and a great compassion. Senior, do you think that among Buddhist monks, is compassion first or purity first?"
Xu Xing tore through the void barrier with his physical body, and stood firmly in the turbulent flow. He remained unmoved despite the impact, and said firmly:
"If Maha Venerable Maha can attain the fruition through actual realization of the Dharma, it will be a great blessing and great merit for both the world and himself."
Upon hearing this, Di Huaiying stroked his beard and asked:
"This is a practical method. I want to quantify everything and not emphasize the mysterious perception. But at the final stage, I have to return to the legal level, or to the level of refining the mind. What should I do then?"
Although he was in the turbulence of the void, Di Huaiying's current attitude clearly showed that he had become obsessed and was determined to figure out the problem in front of him, regardless of anything else.
Xu Xing also knew the temperament of this kind of people very well, and said with a smile:
"With Maha Zun's character, no matter what difficulties and obstacles lie ahead, he will overcome them with his own cultivation. This is simple and clear, and this is his true intention.
As for the others..."
When Xu Xing said this, his expression became solemn.
“Forgive me for being blunt, but for the people of this world, the great way of immortality that is difficult to achieve in one’s lifetime is too illusory.
For them, empirical methods are the most applicable, and after all, this is the orthodox Buddhism.”
In fact, for Xu Xing, martial arts is also such a way of practical practice and verification. Even though it involves many mysterious sensations, in the final analysis, it still needs to be practiced in one's own body.
Upon hearing this, Di Huaiying was shocked and speechless for a moment.
After a long while, he raised his head, looked Xu Xing up and down, sighed, and said slowly:
"Are you really determined to do something that will change the world?"
Although Xu Xing only mentioned it briefly, Di Huaiying was such a man that it was not an exaggeration to say that he was wise as deep as the sea.
Just based on this one sentence and the effectiveness of positivism, he was able to deduce what kind of world Xu Xing and Fahai wanted.
Di Huaiying looked at Xu Xing again. He was impressed by the youth of the man in front of him, surprised by his courage, and even more shocked by his self-confidence.
Now that the threat from the Demon Sect has not yet been resolved, he has already begun to prepare how to rebuild the cultivation system of this world after the catastrophe?
From Di Huaiying's perspective as a heavenly being, he should have angrily denounced their wolfish ambitions, but after careful consideration, he felt that lofty ambitions and great aspirations were more suitable for them.
Such sharpness is truly enviable, especially for someone like Di Huaiying who is in a high position and is accustomed to weighing the pros and cons.
Di Huaiying looked at Xu Xing and said sincerely:
"It has only been a short time since we parted in Fengdu, but I never thought that you have already overcome the calamity barrier. It is truly a cause for celebration for us."
Di Huaiying could feel that although Xu Xing did not have the "true nature" that belonged to the true immortals, he had a strong will of his own, controlling his body and spirit, and was not inferior to the true immortals in any way, and had his own unique charm.
When he said this, he couldn't help but sigh with emotion, shaking his head and saying:
"I had planned to give you a valuable gift the next time we met, but now I see that this gift is like chicken ribs."
When Di Huaiying first noticed Xu Xing's movement in the void in the Netherworld, he had already determined that this person was a rare pillar of the righteous path and was worthy of careful training.
But this up-and-coming talent, in less than a year, broke through several barriers in the realm of true person and reached the peak, comparable to an immortal. This speed of breakthrough is unprecedented in the history.
How can this person be called a pillar of society? He is clearly born to stir up the world, to fly 90,000 miles away, and to be like a roc, which everyone in the world can only look up to!
When Di Huaiying thought of this, he even felt dizzy, as if he was blinded by the strong wind stirred up by the huge wings of the Peng bird, and it was difficult for him to see for a while.
Xu Xing smiled and said:
"If it weren't for Di Gong's intervention, the outcome of the battle in Fengdu that day would be unknown. So, I owe Di Gong a favor, so how dare I accept any gift?"
Di Huaiying smiled and waved his hand:
"That's different."
After a few pleasantries, he couldn't help but remind her:
"Fellow Daoist, you have overcome many obstacles along the way, and your cultivation has also advanced by leaps and bounds. You naturally have the courage to make progress.
It is just a matter of changing the world, but it is too radical and not the right way. Haven't you heard of the four words "Yun Zhi Que Zhong"? "
Xu Xing had already anticipated Di Huaiying's attitude.
No matter what, he was a candidate for heavenly official appointed by the Heavenly Court, and even had a very high status as a deity, so it was normal for him to have some bias.
It can even be said that Di Huaiying, knowing all this, was still able to give sincere and kind advice, which showed that he had exercised maximum restraint.
Therefore, Xu Xing also said bluntly:
"Whether it can be accomplished in the end depends on the situation, so there is no need to rush. However, at least one thing can be confirmed, the laws of heaven are no longer applicable to this world."
Di Huaiying's beard trembled, and he showed surprise for the first time.
"What does this mean?"
Di Huaiying has been guarding the underworld alone for decades. Although he made a brief appearance in Fengdu and had some communication with Li Yunxian, he was actually cut off from the news.
Therefore, Xu Xing told Di Huaiying everything that had happened recently, as well as his plan with Li Yunxian and Sima Chengzhen against Tian Gang, without hiding anything.
Although Di Huaiying had long anticipated that the impending catastrophe and the prosperity of the evil path were God's will and could not be reversed, he was still shocked when he heard that the disaster originated from heaven.
When he learned that Li Linfu and Huang Jutian had already made plans for the heavenly order, he stroked his beard and pondered for a long time without saying a word.
After a moment, Di Huaiying's eyes moved, his expression was more resolute than ever before, and his voice was sonorous.
"That's right. If you don't make a decision, you will suffer. Those two have been planning this for who knows how long. If they are slow, they will be slow at every step.
Since we can no longer keep up with the pace, we might as well turn the tables and start over."
After confirming Xu Xing's decision and reaching a preliminary conclusion, the Great Spiritual Officer further analyzed:
"The core objects of the design of the 'Tian Gang' in this world are the Emperor's Seal, the Dragon Qi Talisman, and the Yangping Zhidu Gong Seal inherited from the Zhengyi Sect.
The reason why Zhengyi Sect joined forces with Shangqing Sect and Gezhao Sect to build the Twenty-Four Administrations was to suppress the imperial court and maximize the power of "Tian Gang".
If that person decides to take the initiative beforehand, integrate the Heavenly Principle, and turn the southeast into an iron plate, even if you and I, plus Yun Xian and Bai Yunzi join forces, it will be difficult to break in."
Xu Xing added:
"Although we can't get in, the same is true for the Demon Sect. Now, it's Li Linfu and Huang Jutian's turn to make a choice."
He looked at Di Huaiying and smiled very gently:
"It depends on whether they are going to deal with me, the culprit, or to gather their strength and go straight to Zhengyi Sect to stop the Great Heavenly Master, or in other words... go together?"
Di Huaiying nodded, understanding Xu Xing's thoughts.
"Do you want to take this opportunity to see whether the Demon Sect has already made a move in the court or in the Zhengyi Sect?"
Xu Xing nodded and said:
“After we rescue Senior, we will have four True Immortals on our side, even if we ignore the seriously injured Dragon Lord.
With this kind of combat power, with the blessing of the Void Magical Power, it would be very easy to harm either side. At that time, all we have to do is wait and see.
If both sides can restrain themselves and hold their ground, then we can take this opportunity to recuperate. After all, Senior has just escaped from the Netherworld and has lost a lot of mana. "At this point, he said calmly:
"Destroying the 'Tian Gang' is a must, but timing is important.
At present, we still only have a rough estimate of the power of the Heavenly Demon Star. If we act rashly, we may end up doing harm to the Demon Sect."
Although now, every step Xu Xing takes is safe and sound, but after experiencing the events in the Nine Palaces Demon Realm, he is always wary of the background of the Demon Sect.
If possible, Xu Xing did not want to take the initiative to attack and break the balance at this time.
After hearing this, Di Huaiying raised his eyes and looked at Xu Xing from head to toe again, and sighed again:
"He dares to think and calculate, and he can also calm down and choose a mature and prudent strategy. He is indeed a first-class hero in this world."
Xu Xing just smiled at this praise and bowed again, saying:
"Now that Palace Master Zeng and Dharma Protector Shi are both at Pingtian Peak, I will have to inconvenience you for now."
When Di Huaiying appeared, the people from the Pingtian Sect who stayed here, as well as Old Dragon King and other sea realm figures, were all very excited.
After all, this person is recognized by the world as the number one righteous person.
Even the Great Heavenly Master of the Zhengyi Sect, who controls the heavenly order and occupies an orthodox position, cannot compare with him in terms of fame and cultivation, and is far inferior to him.
It can even be said that Di Huaiying alone is half of the righteous side and represents an irrefutable righteous cause.
At this point, the matter of Ambergris Mouth has come to an end.
Bai Suzhen volunteered to stay and help Hai Jing sort out the scattered Guishui essence, while the others followed Xu Xing and returned to Pingtian Peak again.
When they arrived at Pingtian Peak, Di Huaiying showed up, which naturally caused a sensation again. When Zeng Tai and Shi Gan Dang saw him, their eyes were filled with tears and they could hardly control themselves.
However, this time, Xu Xing, with the idea of killing as many people as possible, only summoned a group of high-level people at the level of great immortals and immortals, and did not make the news public.
However, after decades of wear and tear, Di Huaiying's divine golden body has lost only 30% of its power from its peak period, and is no longer as powerful as it once was.
Therefore, after a brief meeting with everyone, Di Huaiying prepared to concentrate on his studies in order to recover as soon as possible.
Before Di Huaiying left, Xu Xing found him, took out a bunch of bronze fragments from his sleeve and gave them to the great spiritual officer.
Di Huaiying is the chief spiritual officer of mountains and rivers. He has a natural sense of the spiritual energy of mountains and rivers, as well as the precious treasures related to them.
Therefore, when he saw these fragments, he was stunned and said in disbelief:
"Is this the Yuwang Ding?!"
Xu Xing said calmly:
"Li Linfu once used the Yuwang Ding as bait to lure me into danger. This is how I got the Ge Ding Fist.
I already know the way of King Yu. It would be better to give these fragments to Lord Di so that they can be put to good use."
Di Huaiying was a pragmatic person. After getting the answer, he did not dwell on Xu Xing's actions. He rolled up his sleeves and took away the fragments of the Yuwang Ding.
As early as the ancient barbaric period when the method of spiritual practice was not yet perfected, King Yu, as a holy emperor, summoned all the gods to Mount Kuaiji. He can be said to be one of the founders of the path of mountain and water gods.
Therefore, the bronze tripod he left behind would be of great benefit to a Shintoist like Di Huaiying. Moreover, the two people's paths were naturally compatible, so the benefits would naturally be greater.
Only after Di Huaiying left and found a place to practice did Xu Xing feel a little relieved.
At this point, he had already done everything he could prepare in advance, and now all he could do was to deal with the enemy's moves as they came.
Thinking of this, Xu Xing shook his head and told all his disciples to practice on their own. He then took out the Mountain-Driving Whip and flew out of Pingtian Peak.
After a while, the disciples who stayed on Pingtian Peak to practice heard an extremely dull roar coming from afar, which was continuous and rumbling.
They all raised their heads and looked into the distance, and saw a towering mountain that was driven by some enormous force, separating all obstacles in front of it and heading towards Pingtian Peak.
As early as when Xu Xing chose Pingtian Peak, he had thought about moving all the surrounding mountains that he liked here. Now that he has obtained the Mountain-Driving Whip, he naturally wants to put this idea into practice.
With the help of the magical power of the Mountain-Driving Whip, Xu Xing spent three days and three nights to move a total of seventy-one mountains that suited his eyes, guarding the Pingtian Peak and covering the land veins within a radius of a thousand miles.
When all this was completed, Xu Xing stood alone in the void, looking down from a high place, gazing at all this, an extremely strong sense of satisfaction emerged in his heart, his chest was open and he felt heroic.
Although he has not yet "changed the sun and the moon to a new sky", he has finally "changed the old country". No matter who has done such a feat, I am afraid they would find it difficult to restrain themselves and would let out a long roar to express their feelings.
Xu Xing even felt that his soul had become more lively, clear and bright, and he vaguely grasped an opportunity for a breakthrough.
He grabbed a thick and condensed black smoke from deep within the earth and condensed it into a large stone. He then used his fingers to write two lines of large characters that looked like flying dragons and snakes, with vigorous brushstrokes and bold and passionate writing.
——The silver whip from the sky falls across the Five Ridges, and the iron arms shake across the Three Rivers!
Xu Xing placed the stone tablet on the top of Pingtian Peak, and took out the sword formation diagram from Li Guizhen's hand. He refined it again so that it could directly mobilize the power of the earth veins of the seventy-two peaks and transform it into sword energy to kill the enemy.
After doing all this, Xu Xing was finally satisfied. He looked down at the seventy-two peaks and said:
"From now on, this place will be called Pingtian Mountain. When you go out in the future, you can call yourselves disciples of Pingtian Sect of Pingtian Peak in Pingtian Mountain."
The disciples were originally shocked by the boundless magical power of their leader, but when they heard him being so obsessed with puns, they were stunned for a moment.
After showing off his humor a little, Xu Xing didn't care what his disciples thought and went back to the top of Pingtian Peak.
In the past six months, Zuo Qingtian and others have not been idle. They have built palaces, caves, and temples of various sizes all over Pingtian Peak.
Zhu Can's former golden nest was also used by Xu Xing for sacrifice and refinement, and turned into the main hall of Pingtian Peak, which is also Xu Xing's usual residence.
After returning here, Xu Xing was not in a hurry to practice. Instead, he closed his eyes and sat cross-legged, carefully organizing what he had learned and the new insights he gained after breaking through to the level of martial arts master.
Although he had founded the Pingtian Sect before, he had never personally written a guiding article to sort out the various difficulties in martial arts practice and guide the way forward for his disciples.
Now is the time.
After Xu Xing sat cross-legged in meditation for seven days and nights, he suddenly opened his eyes, sorted out all the martial arts he had learned throughout his life, and woke up from his silent state.
His martial arts started with the four major refinements from the very beginning, followed by refining the spirit and refining the qi, and in the end, he still returned to the path of refining the body.
Xu Xing pondered for a moment, then rolled up his sleeves and took out a roll of silk cloth woven from shark silk from the storehouse. He concentrated his fists and engraved everything he had gained on the cloth.
The four major trainings, fist force, internal strength, body, true energy, field...
All the achievements that Xu Xing had demonstrated were integrated into one, and he arranged them in a disorderly manner with a high-level vision to form a new martial arts system.
From his current perspective as a martial arts master, he had actually taken many detours on his previous path of cultivation. These cumbersome branches could be properly pruned and streamlined.
For example, during the body refining stage, if one could use internal force, true qi and other powers to assist, it would not be so complicated to complete the four stages of refinement, or even to cultivate an impeccable body.
Finally, Xu Xing summarized this new system into three levels of body-building, three refinements in the furnace, and three levels of true form.
The two realms of Forging Body and Great Furnace correspond to the foundation-building monks and talisman-forming feathered monks in this world; the three levels of true form correspond to the leap from the realm of true man to the realm of great true man.
The realm of body-building is an external refining method derived from the four major refining methods.
With the help of visualization, and by strengthening the muscles, bones and skin, when the time is right, you will be able to cultivate the seed of internal force from nothing.
The reason for abandoning the stage of flesh training is that it will be easier to train muscles after one has developed meticulous internal strength.
After achieving the triple accomplishment of body building and cultivating inner strength, it is time to go through the three stages of inner cultivation: refining the essence, refining the qi, and refining the spirit.
To refine the essence is to use the internal force to remove hair and cleanse the marrow, so that the mortal body can be reborn. To refine the qi is to gather the evil spirits of heaven and earth, and sublimate the half-real and half-virtual internal force into real "true qi".
To refine the spirit, one must develop a fist style that is unique to one's own. Even if one does not use one's hands or even activate one's true energy, one can still use the fist style to destroy souls and spirits.
The reason why Xu Xing put the unique boxing styles of the masters in the world of the Ming Dynasty at the end was because he found that it was too difficult to sublimate this kind of spiritual state from the physical body.
If you have internal strength and true qi as a buffer, then when you practice boxing moves, even if it is not a natural process, you can still do it step by step, and the difficulty will be greatly reduced.
After the three refinements in the furnace are completed, the warrior's essence, energy and spirit have reached a perfect state where the three elements coexist.
Therefore, at this moment they can regard the heaven and earth as a furnace, forge their own true form and body, and move towards a completely inhuman realm.
The first of the three levels of true form is called Xiu Yujie, also known as the embrace of spirit and energy, and the unity of innate qi.
The relationship between divine will and true qi is mutually reinforcing.
After reaching this state of perfection of the three talents, the warrior can truly integrate the true energy and the divine will into one, and obtain another kind of power that is even stronger than the Gang and Sha.
This is the realization that Xu Xing gained from the "Twelve Jade Towers' Sounds from the Sky" and the Qingcheng Sword Sect's Pure Sword Technique. He called this power the innate qi, and likened it to the "Jade Stairs to Heaven".
After acquiring the innate qi, warriors can try to enter the second stage, which Xu Xing calls "opening the palaces and temples", which means using the method of condensing the "empty realm" to open up the five internal organs and condense the five body spirits.
Next comes the last of the three levels of the true form, "Ascending the Purple Palace", which requires the warrior to use his innate energy and the five internal organs to nourish and strengthen his own soul and transform it into a martial arts spirit.
At this stage, the small world in the human body is completely accomplished, and is no less than that of a great immortal who has achieved perfect Taoism.
The future practice will be to embody the Way of Heaven, temper the spirit of martial arts, and wait until the body and spirit are in harmony. Then you can try to impact the essence of boxing, replace the mind of Heaven with your own, grasp yin and yang, and mediate the creation.
However, although Xu Xing divided it into nine stages, in his opinion, each step of the three major realms, namely, body casting, furnace, and true form, actually still has room for elaboration.
In fact, at the end of every major realm, there is an extreme realm that is even more difficult.
For example, the "physical body fusion" in the Body Forging Realm, the "pure yang energy and blood" in the Furnace Realm, and the "three heads and six arms" in the True Form Realm.
However, due to the high difficulty, Xu Xing was not integrated into this martial arts system.
At his level, when looking at the cultivation system, he no longer just considers the combat power, but also takes into account the transcendence of the life level and its universality.
In addition to the "extreme realm" that represents stronger combat power, there are actually many branches and forks in this martial arts path.
For example, Zhang Sanfeng's Tianren martial arts, which is based on Qi Yuan and Shen Yuan, is one of them. Qiantang Jun and others practiced the Shenmo martial arts by imitating the ancient gods and magic forms, which is also one of them.
Xu Xing also recorded these branches and treated them as research subjects, handing them over to the younger disciples of Pingtian Sect to carry forward.
By Xu Xing's point in time, his understanding of martial arts had surpassed the simple practice method and reached the conceptual level.
In Xu Xing's view, the so-called martial arts is a purely applied and empirical method.
Although it accepts various mysterious concepts such as "harmony between man and nature" and "true nature of self", these theories should serve and guide practice.
Even if the ultimate goal is different, as long as it meets this standard, no matter what kind of practice it is, it can be called martial arts.
In other words, Xu Xing doesn't care about how to explain this world at all. The reason why he wants to understand the laws of heaven and earth is just to better transform everything.
This classic, which records everything Xu Xing learned throughout his life, was eventually named "Wu Jing" and was cited as the fundamental method of the Pingtian Sect.
Xu Xing also copied the "Wu Jing" to Sima Chengzhen and Li Yunxian, and with the help of the vision and wisdom of the two true immortals, he constantly improved the principles in the scripture.
At this point, all the preparations to be made before the founding hall of the Pingtian Sect have been completed. When the time comes, they can officially announce it to the whole country, establish a sect, recruit disciples, and spread martial arts to the world.
