Chapter 84 Preaching
"What do you mean by the possibility of death?"

Jin Bing angrily grabbed a doctor by the collar and lifted him up.

Through the glass, he could clearly see the smile on Vanessa's face, but this quack doctor actually said that Vanessa might die?
"Mr. Wilson...please listen to me first."

The doctor's voice trembled with fear, and he grabbed Kingpin's thick arms with both hands in vain, trying to break free from the sudden feeling of suffocation.

“Sir, please calm down! I said there would be danger based on the severity and complexity of her current condition. Miss Vanessa’s condition is indeed very critical. She suffered severe... internal bleeding and signs of organ failure.

We are doing our best to treat the patient, but medical care cannot always give 100% guarantee."

Jin Bing's eyes seemed to be spitting fire. He clenched his teeth, veins popped out on his forehead, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth: "I don't care what method you use, you must save her for me! She can't die, do you hear me? If anything happens to her, I swear, you will be a thousand times more miserable than she is now!"

After saying that, he pushed the doctor hard, throwing him heavily to the ground. Jin Bing's chest heaved violently, and his emotions were like a volcano about to erupt, but at that moment, he forced himself to calm down.

He knew that anger was useless, so he took a deep breath, adjusted his emotions, and then strode out of the doctor's office.

When he arrived at Vanessa's ward, his eyes penetrated the glass and fell again on Vanessa's face, which was pale but still trying to smile.

In his eyes, that smile seemed so fragile yet strong, as if it was her last persistence and struggle for life.

"Your wife is going to die. She won't make it. The doctors can't save her. Only you can save her!"

"Who the hell are you? Show yourself to me now!"

The inexplicable voice sounded again, and Jin Bing could no longer hold back, he roared towards the surroundings.

However, apart from the occasional sound of medical equipment operating, no one responded.

After not getting a response for a long time, Jin Bing realized that the voice did not seem to come from the outside world, but was caused by the fear and despair deep in his heart.

He shook his head violently, trying to get rid of these negative thoughts.

"No, I can't be swayed by these distracting thoughts."

Jin Bing said firmly to himself.

However, it seemed that this was not just Jin Bing's random thoughts. Soon, the mysterious voice responded to him again.

"You can see it. I'm right in front of you."

The afterglow of the setting sun gently shines on the New York skyline, covering this city that never sleeps with a layer of golden veil.

Hawkeye was speeding in a car with Matt. He could see that his colleague was in a low mood these days, so he enthusiastically decided to take his colleague out for some fun.

Taking Matt to experience the different aspects of New York may help him forget his troubles and regain his happiness. As the wheels shuttled through the veins of the city, they gradually moved away from the bustling commercial district and headed towards an unknown direction.

"Mr. Barton, please stop for a moment. I feel a gentle atmosphere here."

Matt suddenly called out to Hawkeye to stop the car, and the latter slowly stopped the car and looked to the side, which turned out to be a temple.

"Matt, you're not planning on going to check this out, are you?"

Hawkeye didn't plan to bring Matt here. He planned to take Matt to some more entertaining and relaxing place.

What interesting things can there be in a temple? "Let's go and take a look."

But Matt doesn't think so. He is still confused. Passing by such a religious place, perhaps he can get the answers he wants.

Hawkeye looked at Matt, thinking that this trip was meant to accompany him to relax, and since he wanted to go, then let him go.

So he nodded and responded with a smile: "Okay, Matt, since you want to go, let's go and see it together."

The two got out of the car and walked to the entrance of the temple.

As they got closer, the sound of chanting and the gentle sound of bells from the temple intertwined together, as if they could wash away all the dust in the world and purify people's souls.

The door of the temple slowly opened, and a fresh and peaceful breath blew in. Matt couldn't help but take a deep breath and felt unprecedented relaxation.

After entering the temple, they walked slowly along the stone road, with lush trees and scattered Buddha statues on both sides.

Every time Matt passed a Buddha statue, he would stop and pray devoutly with his hands folded. Although he did not have any specific religious beliefs, he felt his mind was particularly peaceful at this moment.

Hawkeye was quietly accompanying Matt. He didn't disturb Matt, but just occasionally cast a concerned look to make sure he was okay.

Just as Matt was immersed in self-reflection and inner peace, he and Hawkeye unexpectedly discovered a group of people gathered in a small courtyard deep in the temple. They were sitting around an elderly monk, appearing extremely focused and excited.

The monk was using his magnetic voice to talk about some profound religious insights and philosophical ideas that were different from their daily cognition.

Matt and Hawkeye looked at each other, and saw a hint of curiosity and confusion in each other's eyes.

Although they respect everyone's freedom of belief, those statements are indeed beyond their acceptable scope and even contain some views that they consider to be heretical or overly radical.

However, Matt did not leave immediately, as he felt an urge to understand these ideas more deeply.

Perhaps, in the midst of confusion and bewilderment, these seemingly irrational ideas can provide him with another perspective and help him understand the world and himself more comprehensively.

Hawkeye saw what Matt was thinking, and he whispered, “Matt, if you think it would help, stay and listen.

But remember that everyone’s beliefs and understandings are unique, and you don’t have to force yourself to accept all viewpoints.”

Matt nodded, and the two of them quietly walked to the edge of the crowd and found a relatively quiet place to sit down.

"Do you know what justice is?"

Hearing this, Matt's eyes lit up. He had been thinking about this issue for the past few days. Today someone actually mentioned the issue of justice, so Matt had to listen carefully.

"Do you think the actions of those heroes active on the streets are just actions?"

When Matt heard this, he remembered what he had done.

There are quite a few street heroes. If it were before, Matt would think they were righteous, but now he is a little unsure.

"I can tell you that they are by no means righteous actions!"

The monk spoke very little, but it piqued Matt's interest.
