Chapter 29: A City in Trouble

Chapter 29: A City in Trouble

Tony's face looked quite ugly, with a mixture of fear, confusion, and bewilderment.

This book even predicted his palladium poisoning. Combined with recent events, all this and more evidence shows that the contents of the book are not fabricated out of thin air, but are true prophecies.

If he was going to die from palladium poisoning, was there any way to reverse his fate?
It was true. When Tony continued to look down, he actually found the corresponding opposite side.

"Howard Stark's death was inevitable, but Tony Stark's was not. If he could find the messenger of Yahweh, then he might be able to be redeemed."

The messenger of Yahweh?
Tony's head began to hurt. Not to mention whether Yahweh existed, where could he find his messenger?
Shaking his head to get rid of these thoughts, Tony patiently continued to read down.

"The old powers will awaken, and the Lord of R'lyeh will no longer be content to sleep. His eyes will be cast on the land, and the insignificant mortals may be able to obtain his glory.

Perhaps his brother will not sit idly by. When the time comes, can the city of New York survive the fight between the two of them?"

The book stops here and the content of this volume ends here.

There wasn't a lot of content, but everything about it made Tony feel numb all over.

This is no longer a grand and vague prophecy, but a concrete statement that two terrifying gods will awaken and New York may be destroyed in the conflict between them.

He also mentioned his own death, saying that if he could not find the messenger of Yahweh, he might die.

Whether for his own safety or that of the city, Tony must find Yahweh's messenger as soon as possible. Although it is not mentioned in the book, I believe he can also resolve the grudge between the two gods, right?

Or will the next volume of The Graaki Revelation resolve this issue?
Thinking of this, Tony took out the magic conch, intending to seek this magical prop that could seemingly solve all his problems.

After all, just before, "The Graaki Revelation" really happened just as the magic conch said, and it fell into my hands without me doing anything.

"Magic Conch, how can I resolve the feud between these two ancient gods? Or, how can I protect New York?"

After pulling the rope, the magic conch responded quickly as usual, but...

"There's no hope. Just wait to die. Goodbye!"

Tony was stunned. He never expected the magic conch to give such a direct and cold answer.

Magic conch, you have changed. You were not like this before.

Tony calmed down his emotions and prepared to ask the second question.

"Then, Magic Conch, please tell me where the second volume of the Glaaki Revelation is? What should I do to get it?"

After saying that, Tony pulled the rope again, but this time the magic conch did not let him give up treatment.

"do nothing."

Tony felt his blood pressure rising and veins bulging. This was the same answer as last time. As long as he did nothing, the book would naturally fall into his hands.

But there is no time like that now. Who knows when the two gods will fight?
And waiting is not his style. Tony is used to taking the initiative and finding solutions to problems.

“How do I find the Messenger of Yahweh then?”

After thinking about it, Tony pulled the rope of the magic conch for the third time. He just hoped that the answer from the magic conch would be more reliable this time.

"Go be a dog for Natalie."

"what?"

Tony couldn't believe his ears and wondered if he had heard it wrong.

But the familiar and slightly teasing sound of the magic conch echoed clearly in his ears, forcing him to face the ridiculous answer of "to be Natalie's dog". Tony's mouth twitched, and he looked at the magic conch in his hand, as if to confirm whether this magical prop was really playing a joke on him.

But the magic conch lay there quietly, without the slightest fluctuation, obviously answering his questions seriously.

"You mean to let me serve as her dog so that I can find the messenger of Yahweh with her help?"

Tony suppressed the anger on his forehead and pulled the rope again.

"Yes."

This time, the answer from the magic conch was brief and clear, without any hesitation or joking. Tony had to face up to this seemingly absurd guidance that pointed directly to the answer.

"All right,"

Tony sighed. Although he was still reluctant in his heart, he knew that now was not the time to act angry. The city was in danger. Thinking about those people's lives, Tony really couldn't accept letting them all die for the sake of his dignity.

"Then what should I do? I can't really run over and be her pet, right?"

As soon as Tony said this, he had already compromised halfway.

However, his self-esteem never allowed him to let go of his psychological barriers and really serve Natalie as a dog.

Tony gritted his teeth and pulled the rope again, hoping that the magic conch would give him some face.

"If you don't want to be her dog, then you can try licking her feet."

"what?"

Let yourself lick that secretary's feet?
What a joke!
He, Tony Stark, is a super genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and superhero Iron Man!

Even if Tony died of palladium poisoning, beaten to death by a monster, or killed by terrorists, he would never lick her feet!

Tony's face turned livid in an instant, anger and shame intertwined, and he almost crushed the magic conch in his hand.

"Magic Conch, are you...are you really humiliating me on purpose?" Tony's voice was low and hoarse. He tried to squeeze these words out from between his teeth and then pulled the rope.

"No, I'm helping you."

Extremely shameless!
Tony was so angry that he laughed. The magic conch was rubbing his self-esteem to the ground.

However, when Tony thought of the New Yorkers who were about to suffer, he hesitated. Maybe there were other ways?
"Magic Conch, is there any other way to solve this incident?"

At this point, Tony pulled the rope again and again.

"No."

The magic conch's answer was brief and straightforward, which put Tony in a dilemma.

"Okay," Tony finally gave in, but his tone revealed an unyielding tenacity.

"I will try to communicate with Natalie, but not in that way. I will find a more respectable way to seek her help."

He put away the magic conch, went to the top floor and looked out the window.

The city lights are still bright, but beneath this tranquility lies an unknown crisis.

I really don’t know what the scene will be like when the crisis breaks out.
