The Wolf of Los Angeles.
Chapter 535 WikiLeaks, dedicated to exposing past wounds and email scandals.
The three arrived at the lounge, where Edward greeted Hawke and said, "The meeting room is ready."
He walked beside her, saying as they went, "The business jet has been arranged. The route is through a special channel. Ms. Claire Emer will be able to take off soon after she arrives at the airport."
Tom Emer nodded to him: "Thank you."
Edward grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth, and headed to the club entrance.
Once the meeting room door closed, Tom Emer immediately asked Hawke, "Do you have any way to mitigate the impact of this incident?"
“It should be fine.” Hawke glanced at his watch. “Wait a moment. My men are bringing the things over here. They should be here soon. We’ll talk after you’ve seen the things.”
When he arrived, he instructed someone to send over the email information.
Tom Emer calmed himself down and waited patiently for a moment.
Not long after, the door to the reception room opened from the outside, and Edward came in carrying a laptop bag. He took out a laptop, connected an external hard drive, and placed it on the table in front of Hawke.
Brian and Tom Emer both moved over here.
While waiting for the machine to start, Hawke said, "Silali has an Indian female assistant named Huma Abedin."
Tom Emmer, as a competitor, knew a little about Hillary's core team: "This person followed Hillary around 98 and was referred to by many people in Washington as Hillary's goddaughter."
Hawke briefly explained: "Abedin's husband is named Wenger. He was indignant about what Sylvie had done, and recently he came to me with some important documents."
"Seek refuge?" Tom Emer certainly didn't believe it, but that wasn't the key point.
Hawke opened the external hard drive, found Wenner's selfie video, and clicked to play it.
An Indian man appeared on screen whom Tom Emmer did not recognize, but he did not believe Hawke would lie about this, since verifying the man's identity would be too easy for him.
In his video, Wenner introduced himself and showed several photos of himself with Abedin and Hillary. He then mainly talked about the email scandal.
Tom Emer's inner anxiety subsided, and even his expressionless face unconsciously showed a faint smile.
Compared to all this, what do the scandals of Hollywood stars matter?
Tom Emer tried to keep his tone and emotions calm as he asked, "Besides what's shown in the video, is there any other direct evidence?"
Hawke opened a folder and showed it to Tom Emmer, saying, "Before Wenner left Abedin, we retrieved a lot of documents from her email, but these cannot be used as direct evidence."
Tom Emer nodded: “I understand, but this is enough.”
Brian leaned over for a look and secretly made a mental note: avoid using business software, especially chat software and emails, to discuss work-related matters.
Hawke said, "These are more impactful than Hollywood celebrity scandals, aren't they?"
“Yes, it’s crucial.” Tom Emer said, ignoring the fact that Hawke and Brian already knew, “My affairs, and the bragging party incident, only affected my personal reputation; they were all messy private matters. But these emails are related to national interests, the basic rules and systems of government operation, and even national security issues.”
Brian agreed: "This is much more serious than matters of the private life."
Hawke unplugged the external hard drive.
Edward took it, removed all traces, and placed it in front of Tom Emer.
Without any hesitation, Tom Emmer picked up the portable hard drive and put it in his pocket.
He knew perfectly well that everything came at a price, and asked, "How can I thank you?"
Hawke didn't mince words, saying, "Wynnerken surrendered to me and handed over these things because I promised him a condition: to treat his fellow Indians who helped him well."
Nobody would believe that, but Tom Emer tried his best to appear convinced: "How can we help?"
Hawke smiled. "Someone will submit a proposal regarding the United States bringing in high-tech talent from India."
“I understand.” Tom Emmer had some knowledge of the situation in India. Indians were playing an increasingly important role in high-tech industries such as Silicon Valley and Boeing, and their share was constantly increasing.
This aligns with the trend of social development, so he naturally wouldn't refuse: "I guarantee that this proposal will be passed."
Hawke glanced at his watch: "You should deal with this as soon as possible."
Tom Emer stood up and said, "This matter cannot be moved forward legally. I need to find a representative, so I won't stay here with you any longer."
Brian said, "Go ahead."
Tom Emer strode out of the meeting room, called Krishi, and met up with campaign manager Stephen, who had rushed over. They got into the same car.
The car was still moving when the group started discussing something.
Upon returning to his hotel, Tom Emer's massive campaign team, along with the resources and manpower he had accumulated over the years, were mobilized as he made one phone call after another.
Hawke and Brian also left the country club.
Once in the car, Brian asked, "Is there anything we need to do?"
Hokra opened the car door and said in a low voice, "Wait, watch the show, and then join the fray and beat them up."
Brian followed him into the car: "If a dog falls into the water, of course you should throw stones at it."
Hawke deliberately said, "What you said isn't politically correct."
Brian nodded: "That's true, Cthulhu is indescribable after all."
…………
Orange County, Irvine.
The lights suddenly came on in the middle of the night in the small building housing WikiLeaks' US branch.
Victor Somme opened the office door, went to his computer, logged into his email account, and received anonymous emails.
Meanwhile, McFly sat on the other side, trying to find the source of the email. After a while, he said, "The other party used botnets, which are difficult to trace with current technology."
Peter Smith arrived, grabbed three cups, made a strong coffee for everyone, and casually asked Victor, "Who called you?"
"The other party is using a public phone," Victor said, still downloading email attachments. "It seems to be an international number."
His expression turned extremely serious: "The reason I called you here so late is because the person who called told me that the information he provided was related to Hillary, and that Hillary violated the Federal Records Act."
McFly immediately became excited: "We now have explosive news about two presidential candidates. Although Tom Emer is not exclusive, with people like Hillary involved, it's sure to cause a sensation!"
WikiLeaks was founded in 2006, and it has been almost two years since then. Although it has revealed a lot of shocking information about politics and international military affairs, it has not yet reached the level of causing a sensation across the United States.
Leaving aside Assange himself, most of the other people surrounding WikiLeaks are incredibly bold and ambitious.
Some even possess an idealistic fervor.
When the download was complete and Victor opened it to view it, McFly and Smith gathered around him, standing behind him with wide eyes.
Videos, images, emails, and texts all prove one thing: Hillary Clinton and her team have been using personal business emails for an extended period to send congressional work-related content, some of which involves classified information.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a federal government secret.
Some of the emails contained not only work-related content but also private banter and mockery.
In the email, Hillary mocked her potential rival within the party, Obama.
In several audio clips, female members of Hillary Clinton's team mocked Bernie Sanders, a key figure in the Democratic Party, for being full of the stench of decadence, misogyny, stubbornness, and greasiness typical of older white men.
The downloaded email, titled "Satanism," was highlighted in red.
Smith urged, "Read this one first."
Victor moved the mouse to open it, and a bunch of photos popped up inside.
These are emails sent to Abedin by an email user identified as belonging to the Satanic Church.
At the center of the top photo is a coffin-like container filled with a blood-red broth. A human-shaped figure with its head protruding lies in the broth. Around it, several people, including Abedin, are holding forks and trays, enjoying this unusual dish.
McFly's throat tightened, but he held it back and asked, "Is...is this a human being?"
Viktor felt that these important figures couldn't be so devoid of humanity, and subconsciously said, "They might be using tomato sauce and ingredients we don't understand to create a special kind of cooking."
Although Sillari was not among them, +
Several people who were extremely interested in politics simultaneously spotted another familiar face.
Smith pointed to a middle-aged man and said, "This is one of Hillary's campaign managers, I think his name is Sullivan Posta..."
Victor switched web pages, searched, dragged out Sullivan's photo, compared it with the others, and said, "That's right, it's him!"
Below that, a photo of Sila and Laugh Tale appeared.
The couple sat in a Satanic chapel decorated with an inverted pentagram, watching a group of people dismantle a human-shaped cake.
This is definitely a cake, because it looks very different from a real one.
The following photos are mostly related to Satanism.
After flipping through it, Victor said, "It's all juicy gossip about Sila!"
Smith was also excited: "Send it out! Send it all out! We've been waiting for this kind of scoop for far too long!"
McFly pondered for a moment and said, "Our inside source at The Washington Herald gave us some juicy gossip this afternoon about Tom Emer's illegitimate son, which we were planning to publish as the headline on our website at 6 a.m. Eastern Time tomorrow. Now we have to change it."
WikiLeaks doesn't have a fixed political stance. Victor said, "We'll put Hillary Clinton on the front page, and Tom Emer on the back. We won't let either of them miss out on their bombshell revelations!"
“Okay.” The other two agreed.
Smith advised, "Say hello to Assange."
Victor immediately made a phone call, and after listening to the call, the person on the other end immediately agreed.
Because of an agreement with an insider at The Washington Herald, Tom Emer's story could only be published after The Washington Herald went on sale in Eastern Time.
They decided to release the news about Hillary as the headline of WikiLeaks first.
Viktor and his two companions were both excited and thrilled, completely disregarding the risks involved.
Smith suggested, "WikiLeaks has a limited user base. After the news is released, we can use our Twitter account to post it again to drive traffic."
“Great idea!” McFly and Victor got to work.
…………
The lights were still on on the top floor of the Coast Building in the early hours of the morning.
After receiving a phone call, Edward quickly searched online and soon found headlines related to Sillaly.
Clicking through, the publisher is called WikiLeaks.
Edward called out to Hawke, "Boss, the bombshell's out."
Hawke ended his call with Erica and turned to look at the projected image on the screen, where a particularly eye-catching title appeared.
“Dutch candidate Hillary Clinton violated the U.S. Federal Records Act by using a business email account for official work involving numerous state secrets.”
Then, a second one popped up.
"Sirius and several key members of her campaign team are suspected of participating in evil religious activities, the content of which is appalling!"
Edward switched the webpage to WikiLeaks, where these two news items were the first to appear. After clicking on them, the pages that appeared were all from the Abedin notebook and Wenner's confession.
Hawke glanced at it briefly and said, "There's no video of Wenner."
Edward communicated with them: "They want to wait until public opinion is stirred up before releasing the information to fan the flames."
Hawke wouldn't interfere with Tom Emer's operations, saying, "Move WikiLeaks' news to the homepage of the news section and place it at the top."
He thought for a moment: "Use photos that are hard to distinguish between real people and special cooking, as well as photos of the Hillarys watching the dismantling of a human-shaped cake, as headline images."
Edward quickly made these news items the top headlines on Twitter.
…………
While Los Angeles is still in the early hours of the morning, New York has already begun its busy day.
Abedin got up early and called his team to urge them to prepare and inquire about the condition of the venue.
The election campaign had already begun, and after touring several eastern states, Hillary Clinton arrived at her home base in New York.
At 10 a.m. today, she will be holding a large-scale speech event in Washington Square.
After making the call, Abedin had breakfast delivered from the hotel, picked up today's newspaper, and went into the suite where Sirali was staying.
Hillary, already dressed, asked her, "Hasn't Bill arrived yet?"
Abedin just called: "He'll be here at 7:30."
Sylvia reached out for the newspaper, first opening the Washington Herald and immediately seeing the headline on the front page.
The page is half occupied by a series of photos.
The photos show Tom Emmanuel and his wife, Krish, and Samantha and her son.
The horizontal headings are very straightforward.
Tom Emery is suspected of having an affair with Samantha, the daughter of his friend Sessions, and the two have a child out of wedlock!
It also included a vertical title.
"Sess reported to the Minneapolis FBI that Tom Emer had seduced her daughter Samantha and caused her to give birth!"
Sillari quickly glanced at the newspaper and said, "Very good, when will the FBI question Tom Emer?"
The FBI is rife with factions, some leaning towards the Elephant Party and others towards the Donald Party.
Abedin said, "Tom Emery has a special status, and the people in Minneapolis are very cautious..."
Sila's phone suddenly rang, interrupting Abedin's words.
The call was from John Lucas, who was in charge of public relations. He said urgently, "Quickly check WikiLeaks! There's some extremely damaging public opinion on them!"
Silali immediately switched to speakerphone.
Abedin immediately grabbed his laptop, placed it in front of Sila, turned it on, and opened WikiLeaks.
Upon seeing the two news headlines, Hillary's vision suddenly went black.
Abedin noticed that she was swaying slightly and quickly supported her with one hand.
Sillari shook off her hand, snatched the mouse, and clicked on one of the news articles.
Before her were a series of important emails, mostly sent by her and addressed to Abedin.
Sila turned her head, her eyes cold.
Abedin also saw the content on the webpage and quickly explained, "Madam, it wasn't me, I didn't do it."
She knew all too well how severe the consequences would be if she were identified as the culprit, and her voice trembled with tears as she cried, "It really wasn't me! If I had, I would have run away long ago. How could I be here?" (End of Chapter)
