Chapter 14: Did they put on new sheets? Is that a sign of sincerity?
In recent years, Grandpa Yan has been living a secluded life. He only came to visit Jiang Beiheng after hearing that he had returned to China. He did not intend to disturb his rest any longer and prepared to leave after sitting for about half an hour.

Jiang Beiheng was ill and didn't try to keep him any longer. "Tang Xu, help me see the guests off."

Tang Xu responded and obediently saw Old Master Yan and Yan Shiyu downstairs.

The two arrived in separate cars. After going downstairs, Yan Shiyu first saw Old Master Yan into his car and watched it leave before turning around.

Yan Shiyu's calm gaze fell on her face as he bent down to get into the car.

"I'll send you the restaurant address later. Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Yan," Tang Xu said.

Yan Shiyu paused slightly, turned to look at her, and said in a light voice, "I thought we wouldn't have to eat this meal today."

Tang Xu immediately realized what he was talking about.

The reason she invited him to dinner was because he told her that she should focus her efforts on the right person.

She only chose him because she had no other choice.

But now, Jiang Beiheng is back.

Jiang Beiheng acknowledges her as his daughter-in-law, so he will definitely help her.

A new path has opened up before her.

She could indeed cancel the meal.

But after a moment of silence, Tang Xu simply tilted her head and smiled, "Why? Doesn't Mr. Yan have time tonight?"

The nurse was giving Jiang Beiheng water when she entered. Jiang Beiheng beckoned her over, "Tell me about your family..."

"Dad, you should rest first. When I need your help, do you think I'll be polite to you?" Tang Xu said. "As for other things, don't worry about them. Taking good care of yourself and getting healthy is the most important thing."

"Dad, I have something to do tonight, so I can't stay any longer," Tang Xu said. "How about I come see you again tomorrow?"

Jiang Beiheng had no choice but to nod and let her leave first.

Shi Yan did not give a direct answer, but simply said, "You've been married for two years, you should know that he doesn't love you."

When Tang Xu entered the private room she had booked, Yan Shiyu had already arrived.

"I'm sorry I'm late, Mr. Yan, I've kept you waiting."

Yan Shiyu turned her head and saw Tang Xu wearing a black square-neck velvet dress that made her skin look as white as snow. Her thick long hair was loosely tied up, and she wore no extra accessories. She was slender and elegant, yet her features were like a painting.

Only the color on her red lips had faded a bit.

Tang Xu sat down beside him. "I ran into a classmate who pulled me aside for a few more minutes to chat... I shouldn't have talked to her for so long, I apologize, Mr. Yan."

As she spoke, she took her phone out of her handbag, but accidentally pulled something out with her.

A palm-sized ultrasound image slowly floated down to Yan Shiyu's feet.

Yan Shiyu lowered her head slightly, then bent down and picked it up.
