Chapter 63 Remarks on the launch
Hey guys, the new book has been on the road for over a month and will finally be on the shelves tomorrow, Thursday.
The Pirate Kingship is the fourth book of Whale (aka: The Conqueror on the Mast).
The first one was fantasy, a fine product, with an average subscription of 4500. The second one was science fiction, and I wrote all about the Laniakea Supercluster in one go, but the background was too big, so it failed miserably.
The third fantasy book, a masterpiece, with an average subscription of 6200 when it was completed.
In the fourth book, I wrote fantasy again, still on the theme of the great voyages, but from a different perspective, starting with pirates.
Many bigwigs have noticed that the inspiration comes from the War of the Roses in British history, which is also the prototype of the story of "Game of Thrones".
But there is no palace fighting or intrigue. The real romance of pirates is huge ships, cannons, treasures, fine wines, and the unknown world.
The outline of this book was formed together with the previous book, "The Fruits of Killing". The original idea was to have stories taking place in the East and the West under similar backgrounds.
The timeline should be this book first, and the previous book later.
The various materials prepared are quite sufficient, including sailing warships, European swordsmanship, various black magic, history through geography, Viking pirates, pirate legends, and Norse mythology.
I haven't counted exactly how many physical books I bought, but there are probably four or five stacks.
There was a lot of preparation before I started writing the book. Not counting the more than 20 pages of notes on nautical knowledge, the outline, setting collection, and story line added up to words. I was basically busy for two months after the previous book was finished.
The main idea is to create a sailing story that combines real background, epic legends and fantasy elements.
Because many book fans have reported that the biggest problem with fantasy is that it is difficult to remember people’s names, we have specially designed a power system of [Titles].
Every relatively important supporting character has his or her own [title] or nickname, but no one knows what the specific effect is.
In short, I have eaten all the recommendations from Xiaolaba, New Books, and Sanjiang, and ranked second on the new book list. I would like to thank every reader who supports me.
Thank you! orz
Your support is the inexhaustible motivation for Whale to write every book carefully.
I would also like to thank my editor-in-chief Qingting and editor Jiangcha for giving me a lot of valuable suggestions.
Of course, I am also a loyal confidant of Qidian Group 10 (laughs).
It will be available tomorrow at 12:05 noon, Thursday. Four chapters will be updated in a row. Please support! orz
