Chapter 86: Make the police attractive and give good people a chance to shine

Chapter 86: Make the police attractive and give good people a chance to shine (13)

The plot is that after the eleventh cycle, the heroine reconciles herself, matures, and faces life positively.

Reconcile with dad and dare to fight with teacher.

Not only did they sternly warn the student not to pester him, but they also collected evidence and made the teacher pay the price.

After doing all this, the heroine tied her hair up, set the timer on her watch, and rushed to the hospital.

In designing this major scene, Shen Santong originally wanted to have the heroine collaborate with the police.

In the original version, the heroine used a dagger to snatch the police's gun, asked the police to go find help, and faced it alone.

Shen Santong speculated that there were two reasons why the original plot was designed in this way.

,,,,,,
The first is that the American police have many outrageous actions, which is completely different from the Chinese side.

Not a nature, essentially private police.

The police are funded by real estate taxes and donations.

Rich areas have high housing prices, high taxes, and large donations.

Naturally, the police stations in wealthy areas are well-funded and receive the best service.

Regular, fixed-point patrols.

When a vicious incident occurs, it is solved very quickly.

In poor communities, it's the opposite.

When the original film was filmed around 16 or 17, the urban areas in the United States had completely become slums, and people with high incomes lived in the suburbs.

The governance of poor communities is completely left to gangs.

Official forces, including the police, are unable to enter.

That’s right, public security depends on gangs.

In the early years, in some neighborhoods, if a car was lost or a person was found, the police could negotiate with the gang and go to the neighborhood to find them.

By the time I was 16, it no longer worked.

Negotiations were possible because in the early years the mafia was a big gang.

Have legitimate business and socialize with the upper-level forces.

To put it bluntly, there is hope of getting ashore.

For example, the family of the old lady who is the stock god on Capitol Hill started out as a gang.

At that time, the police station’s face was still useful.

But in 16, American gangs have basically been reduced to small and medium-sized ones.

The US upper class is becoming more stingy and won't give any legal business at all.

It’s not necessarily that we don’t want to give, but that we don’t have it.

With deindustrialization, legal businesses that could provide support to gangs are also being eliminated.

Plus, the upward channel is closed.

There is no economic benefit and no chance of going ashore.

As a result, the gangs simply ignore the police.

The forces on the surface can no longer enter the neighborhoods controlled by gangs.

In this way, whether it is property or people, once they enter the gang neighborhood, they are lost by default.

American police are unable to control gang neighborhoods, and some police stations have even started a business of enhancers to make a living.

The image of the American police continues to collapse.

Especially after 08, the middle class has shrunk and public security in middle-class communities has deteriorated rapidly.

From the bottom to the middle class, the vast majority of people in the United States are gradually unable to enjoy the services of the U.S. police, or the service level has declined.

Therefore, the original design is in line with American reality.

It was brought out and the American audience accepted it.

Of course, there is another reason for the original design.

The Hollywood professionals have a white leftist stance.

And the police supporters, the conservatives don't get along.

When designing the plot, some effects will be weakened.

The original version is just weakened, there is no black.

Hollywood movies pay great attention to this.

When it comes to some powerful institutions, we adopt an attitude of giving a little criticism but helping them in the end.

Shen Santong designed this plot himself. His first thought was to cooperate with the police, but he later rejected it.

Because of the cooperation with the police, the heroine's role will be reduced and the highlight moments will be weakened.

Shen Santong wanted Li Bingbing to show off her figure.
If we cooperate and catch the serial killer directly, we will undoubtedly lose the opportunity to show off.

The dramatic effect will be better if you don't cooperate.

This can be interpreted as the heroine at this time having just reconciled herself, but still being in the habit of dwelling on trivial matters.

Habitually self-centered and refuse to cooperate with others.

It can also be interpreted as the heroine has completed her transformation, and even if she dies in the face of the serial killer, the cycle can still be repeated.

On the contrary, if the police sacrifice themselves, the serial killer will be solved and the cycle will be stopped, which will result in unnecessary sacrifices.

It shows the heroine's bravery and kindness. Her lack of cooperation leaves the audience with two interpretations.

So Shen Santong’s role in this important part is similar to the original version in the early stage.

The heroine used a dagger to snatch the police's gun, drove the police away to call for backup, and then went to face the robbers herself.

When he pointed the gun at the robber, he did not activate the safety and was knocked down by the robber.

When there is a power outage, turn the tide.

But after the power outage, it is completely different from the original.

In the original version, the heroine touched the gun and shot the robber to death.

In Shen Santong's version, the heroine got a fire axe after the power outage and darkness.

It was the policeman played by Fan Ming who touched the gun.

After all, he is a people's policeman and he can't tell whether the heroine is a good person or a bad person. What if she is trying to save the serial killer?

You can't leave anyway.

When the lights came on and the heroine was about to kill the serial killer with a fire axe, the police stopped her.

The police understood that the heroine was a good person, and if she took action, it would cause her some trouble and might also leave a shadow.

After all, the police didn't know that the heroine was repeating the same thing, and they were already very careless.

So, the police opened fire and shot the serial killer dead.

There isn't much dialogue between the police and the heroine, but it's quite humorous.

They teased her for being brave enough to do this to herself without fear of going to jail, and for facing a serial killer alone.

With this kind of plot design, the heroine saves herself, but is also rescued by official forces.

Saturation to the rescue.

Moreover, Shen Santong can make the police show humanity.

After all, the heroine threatened the police with a dagger and stole a gun, which is strictly speaking a criminal offense.

The policeman played by Fan Ming will help the heroine hide this fact while his colleagues are investigating.

The heroine is defined as a brave passerby who does something righteous.

After recording a simple statement, the police registered the information and learned the heroine's birthday, and wished her a happy birthday when they parted.

It shows the police's professionalism, integrity, humor and humanity.

The current mainstream is to find humanity in negative characters, but Shen Santong wants to find humanity in positive characters.

Even if the character is a policeman with few roles, we still have to make him vivid and charming.

When designing this plot, Shen Santong could already foresee that there would be a huge uproar after the film was released, with the focus on procedural justice and nitpicking on all kinds of details.

He did it anyway.

Official shooting.

There are special action designs.

We invited a martial arts instructor from Hong Kong.

Shen San Tong just doesn't use the Hong Kong stars who are not very cost-effective, and treats everyone behind the scenes equally.

There is one good thing about the staff in Hong Kong Island: they are the mother who provides milk and will do the work for money, and they can clearly tell who is the boss.

The top martial arts instructor team has no shortage of work.

Ordinary martial arts instructors and low-level stuntmen have a hard time.

Shen Santong's attitude of treating Hong Kong Island as an equal actually made Hong Kong Island more cooperative behind the scenes.

"Okay, Bingbing, with your background, you can act in an action movie."

After watching the action effects, Shen Santong was amazed.

Li Bingbing has a background in dancing, and she also danced throughout the filming of Flying Eagle.

Li Bingbing was a little embarrassed. She had worked with top martial arts directors in Hong Kong and had seen some amazing moves. She felt guilty: "Is our move too simple? Will it work?"

To put it simply, there is almost no routine.

Let me tell you about a classic shot.

There was a power outage and it was dark all of a sudden. After the power came back on, Li Bingbing was seen doing a split and a sideways split, with a fire axe in his hand, looking murderous behind the serial killer.

It is definitely a famous scene.

But there are very few fighting routines.

"rest assured."

Shen Santong gestured to her to rest assured.

You are a female star, not a martial arts star, and the audience doesn’t care about your kung fu skills.

It is about hitting beautifully, not hitting hard.

The details of Shen Santong's fighting scenes focus on editing and splicing, and what matters is beauty.

It is definitely better than the original because Li Bingbing is at her peak. She has been practicing dance since she was a child and she can do any pose she wants.

After filming Li Bingbing's action scenes, we intensively shot for a week, and only the last shot of the hospital scene remained.

Shen Santong wants to teach domestic directors a lesson on how to use people.

Some directors can't even use jokes.
