But in fact, the toad is a real auspicious animal in Chinese traditional culture and mythology.

As early as the Stone Age, toads had entered the vision of our ancestors and became one of our earliest totems.

As early as 6000 BC, there were cylindrical pottery jars with toad reliefs.

In 4800 BC, there were ceramic sculptures of toads.

In 4600 BC, pottery basins with toad patterns appeared.

In 2400 BC, bronze toads appeared.

In 2100 BC, jade toad pendants appeared.

In ancient times, there were various toad jade carvings, jade pendants, toad immortal pictures and other ink paintings.

Nowadays, many people place a golden toad in their homes to attract wealth and treasure and to ward off evil spirits.

Toads have always been auspicious animals loved by the Chinese. In real life, they also have extremely high medicinal value and can treat many diseases.

Toads have a sturdy body and a majestic appearance. They are very fertile and can give birth to a large number of babies in a litter. They are also long-lived.

The ancients loved toads and gave them many meanings. "The phoenix will not roost unless it is on the Chinese parasol tree, and the golden toad will not live unless it is in a place of wealth." "Winning the laurel in the palace of the toad"...

In general, the Golden Toad:
First, it brings wealth and treasure.

Second, health and longevity.

Third, having many children means more blessings and an everlasting life.

Fourth, he will have a successful career and a bright future.

Fifth, it can ward off evil spirits and bring good luck and avoid misfortune.

Toads are auspicious animals in terms of wealth, life, birth, luck, good and bad fortune.

Chinese mythology is the treasure of Chinese literature.

But, unfortunately, there don’t seem to be many mythological stories about toads.

So, I wanted to write a story about a toad by combining "Journey to the West", the most famous mythological novel.

The golden finger taken from the Taoist temple - "Magic Copying Weapon" is also directly related to the toad, which means "the golden toad that brings wealth and treasure".

Some people say that history is a little girl who can be dressed up by anyone. In my humble opinion, the same is true for mythology.

As for history, there are still some unearthed cultural relics and surviving books to verify it.

Even so, there are many different opinions and debates on various historical issues, leaving behind many unsolved historical mysteries and many interpretations of historical versions.

Not to mention mythology...

China has a large population, many ethnic groups and a vast territory.

Different ethnic groups, and even the same ethnic group in different periods, have different mythological beliefs.

This also leads to the fact that China has many mythological systems.

For example, take the Supreme God: there are many Supreme Gods.

About Journey to the West:
I encountered a problem when writing. 90% of "Journey to the West" is about the 14-year journey to the West, so in many writing styles, the protagonist joins the journey and walks the journey again.

But in this way, what monsters you encounter and what characters appear along the way are all destined, which is somewhat boring.

Moreover, there is only 14 years.

How did the protagonist become so strong in just 14 years?

So I want to use changing the timeline as a variable to make the original story change.

At the same time, the timeline before the journey to the West is extended to more than a thousand years, so the protagonist has a certain amount of time to prepare his forces.

Also, extend the timeline after the end of Journey to the West and expand the story after the end of Journey to the West.

Of course, on the journey to the west, how to get the diamond cutter, the golden knife, the human bag, the purple gold gourd...

It will also be interesting to see how they use their wits and courage to steal and copy these magic weapons.

Journey to the West can be considered a story about monsters. Most of the characters in it are monsters, and the monsters in it are very interesting.

There are all kinds of people, each with its own characteristics, including Xiao Zuanfeng, Benboerba, Silver Horn King, White Bone Demon, Jade Rabbit Demon, Scorpion Demon...

I would like to advance the timeline, use the protagonist as an introduction, and expand upon these monster characters.

It can also be regarded as a small prequel and sequel to the various monsters in Journey to the West.

For example: Because one's Ding was cut off, one had to seek a method to be reborn after the Ding was cut off, and thus learned the method of being reborn after the head was cut off from the immortal Huli.

For the Jiao Demon King, who was rarely mentioned in the original novel, we developed his background and character.

I like to write about some supporting characters, such as the disabled but strong-willed immortal Huli, who has the spirit of Ah Q, the fawning but loyal green-faced fish demon, and the iron-willed General Tiegu.

In a story, if people can remember a few supporting characters in addition to the protagonist, that's very good, hahahaha.
