Chapter 28 Don’t take advantage of the bastard
If it were someone else, witnessing themselves being entangled by black lines, or even having their life threatened, what would happen?

The only person who could save him only gave him a talisman and told him to wait. He'd probably go crazy and wouldn't let go of the person who could save him.

But the man's family was in the funeral business and knew a lot about the rules of the esoteric sects. He only felt gratitude towards Yun Ran and had no dissatisfaction whatsoever.

"Thank you, Master!"

After receiving the talisman with both hands, his gaze subconsciously fell on his own shadow, and in a daze, he seemed to see the shadow tremble.

This made the man's heart jump again. The thought of his own shadow wanting to replace him was terrifying.

Yunran was satisfied with the man's attitude and nodded: "Don't worry, your shadow will behave itself for the next month!"

Although Yunran looked young, she inexplicably gave people a sense of security, and the man finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After paying, the man bowed to Yunran again before leaving.

Only after the men had all gone far away did the chattering onlookers finally seem to realize what was happening.

Some people felt their legs were going weak, while others felt their throats tighten.

But they're both bad at the game and love to have fun, so they always try to get the upper hand verbally.

"My goodness, what that girl just said was terrifying! What about a shadow devouring its master? That's such an outlandish claim! Could it be a scam?"

"But that young man, when he first came in, he was deathly pale, like he'd seen a ghost, and he was wearing so many layers. But when he left, he was perfectly fine..."

At this point, the person who had been stubborn just moments before suddenly felt a pang of anxiety and quickly pulled his companion away.

The sun was slowly setting, and some people around were already packing up their stalls.

Yunran thought that after talking about the shadow devouring its master, no one would be so stubborn as to come for fortune telling.

Qu Ziwei held a cup of milk tea, looking like she had just come to take a look, and then sat down directly in front of Yun Ran's stall.

With a somewhat arrogant expression, he said, "You didn't complete your three divinations today, did you? Since we were classmates, I'll reluctantly help you out. Just do a random divination for me~"

Seeing that Yun Ran didn't move, Qu Ziwei, being a wealthy young lady, was still well-mannered despite her somewhat spoiled nature. She blushed slightly at this moment.

Qu Ziwei couldn't bring herself to apologize, so she could only push the milk tea in her hand in front of Yun Ran: "Here, have some."

"A fool wouldn't take advantage of a good deal," and Yun Ran wasn't stupid. She took the milk tea, inserted the straw, and started drinking.

After taking several large gulps, Yun Ran finally looked at Qu Ziwei directly and asked, "Speak, what do you want to be called?"

Qu Ziwei hadn't expected that Yun Ran was actually quite easy to talk to.

"Well, uh..."

Qu Ziwei stopped talking and noticed that the onlookers who had just dispersed had gathered around again, and a hint of displeasure flashed in her eyes.

"Hey, little girl, you were setting up your stall not far away, weren't you? What brings you here for fortune telling?"

"These are all stalls on the same street, are they going to charge a fee?"

Upon hearing this, Qu Ziwei immediately felt looked down upon, so she took out her phone, scanned the code to pay, and paid the original price.

She's a young lady from the Qu family, after all; why would she care about such a small amount of money?

Hearing the WeChat notification sound, those who said it wouldn't be charged were proven wrong once again.

After paying, she ignored the onlookers and went straight to her troubles. "I want to talk about my sister-in-law's situation. You should know that my brother and sister-in-law have been married for almost ten years and don't have a child."

They went to the hospital for checkups and there was nothing wrong with their health, but they just couldn't get pregnant. My mother and sister-in-law are now almost enemies.

When I was little, my sister-in-law practically raised me. You know, one is my biological mother, and the other is my sister-in-law. I can't side with either of them; I'm caught in the middle..."

Yunran realized that Qu Ziwei was treating her like a goddess who grants children.

Yunran knew a thing or two about the Qu family. Qu Da and his wife were childhood sweethearts, and they had a very deep relationship. They got married as soon as they came of age.

The two were well-matched in terms of social standing and background, and they should have been a perfect couple. But life is always full of regrets.

Despite their privileged background and the fact that they were a talented couple, they were constantly at odds because they didn't have children.

According to the gossip of the ladies having afternoon tea, Madam Qu has given a firm order to force Mr. and Mrs. Qu to divorce.

If they don't get a divorce, they should find someone outside the marriage to have a child with and put it under the names of Qu Da and his wife.

Such things are not uncommon in wealthy families, but they are somewhat inhumane and embarrassing.

Yunran wanted to sympathize, but she couldn't sympathize with everyone.

"Show me recent photos or videos of your brother and sister-in-law."

Qu Ziwei had already prepared everything. Worried that Yun Ran wouldn't be able to see it clearly, she took out her tablet from her bag and placed the photo in front of Yun Ran.

Yunran has heard a lot about gossip, but she has never actually met many of the people behind it.

After looking at both of their photos, Yunran paused slightly, thinking she had misread them, and looked at them again carefully.

Qu Ziwei kept her eyes fixed on Yun Ran, and seeing Yun Ran's expression, she also became a little nervous.

Fearing that Yunran might be like what other masters had said, that her elder brother and sister-in-law, though separated, would each have children, but if they were together, she would be destined to grow old alone.

"How about it?"

Yun Ran didn't keep them in suspense and said directly, "Judging from their faces, your elder brother and sister-in-law should have at least three children, but their children's palaces are somewhat obscure."

Upon hearing that her elder brother and sister-in-law already had a child, Qu Ziwei disregarded everything else and immediately reached out to grasp Yun Ran's hand.

"You absolutely have to help my older brother and sister-in-law! If they can have a child, I'll have my sister-in-law give you a huge red envelope, starting at 100 million!"

Judging from the faces of Qu Da and his wife, it was the work of a villain. Yun Ran originally planned to have Qu Ziwei go back and investigate all the servants in the house.

But if I hear there's a big red envelope to be won, I'll feel embarrassed.

Now, even if that little man is a rat in the Qu family, she will personally catch the rat, boil water to flood the hole, and then plug it up!
"Show me a picture of your villa!"

Qu Ziwei didn't know why Yun Ran suddenly became so enthusiastic, but she still did as she was told.

Upon seeing the villa, Yunran began to calculate with her fingers.

"Among your servants, is there one born in the Year of the Tiger, 45 years old this year, single, with only one daughter, who has worked for your family for at least 20 years?"

The description was so convincing, it was almost as if they were just reciting his ID number. Qu Ziwei nodded repeatedly.
