Chinese New Year
Chapter 85 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 85 Remarks on the launch
After writing books for many years, the first time it was put on the shelves, it almost caused a big misunderstanding.
I thought it was tomorrow noon, but I got it wrong. I activated my VIP account after midnight. I am really ashamed.
The book "The Long Sword at the End of the Jin Dynasty" has performed well among the new books of the same period and has been ranked first for a long time. This is all due to your support. I would like to thank you here.
The protagonist of this book has a low birth background, which is rare among the time travelers in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties.
I once considered whether I should obtain the status of a noble, but later I thought better of it.
As I said in my book, the gentry was a politically privileged group that only accounted for about 1% of the population.
The gentry in a broad sense includes aristocratic families, ordinary gentry and poor families.
Don't look down on the poor, they are a group with political privileges.
Even if some poor families are very poor, there are no institutional or legal barriers for them to become officials. In this respect, they are more powerful than local tyrants with many followers.
I have read some online novels about the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties before. The protagonists were basically from aristocratic families, or at least branches of large families or from humble backgrounds.
I want to write something different, I want to write about a protagonist who represents the 99% group.
During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, between romance and hard work, which one can represent the actual social situation at that time? Everyone has their own opinions and preferences, so I will not elaborate on this.
In short, the protagonist of this book has a very humble starting point, and his only strengths are martial arts and military strategy.
The Rebellion of the Eight Kings was a special time node. Twenty years earlier, the chances for those at the bottom were not great. A few decades later, the chances were also not great.
There is only one time window.
This is also the main reason why I originally planned to write about the Later Yan period, but later moved the entry point forward significantly. Otherwise, it would be really difficult to get ahead, and the time window has passed. This book has been written for 26 words so far, and I believe everyone has seen that the scene has not yet been laid out and the new map has not yet been unlocked.
For now, the protagonist is just hanging around in Luoyang, a city that is least like the Jin Dynasty. He has limited contacts and has not really devoted himself to the turbulent struggle for hegemony. He has not really come into contact with more social classes and has not really understood this country. His life is very monotonous, with nothing but conspiracy, killing and women.
Later on, the content will slowly unfold including territory management, alliances, military warfare, political reforms, social thoughts and other aspects.
Old readers who are familiar with me know that I don’t have an outline when I write.
In the past, submissions to Qidian required an outline, but now it is not necessary, so I am too lazy to even write a fake outline. Everything is deduced on the spot, with only a general direction in my mind.
In other words, the characters in the book have a certain degree of autonomy and are not completely controlled by the author. Everything must be logical and reasonable.
The greatest power an author has is to choose one for the protagonist when there are several forks in the road. That’s all.
I won’t say much more, thank you all for your support.
After midnight, I will post the first five chapters as a token of my respect.
There should be more chapters to finish after I get up tomorrow. The exact number of chapters depends on my typing speed. Anyway, I have taken a day off tomorrow.
Finally, I hope everyone will subscribe enthusiastically.
Especially the first order (the first VIP chapter, Chapter 84). Also, don't forget to vote for the monthly ticket, thank you.
