Chapter 593 Nuwa Creates Humans, When Will We Wait Any Longer?

Chapter 593 Nuwa Creates Humans, When Will We Wait Any Longer?

Zheng Fa ignored the stares of Bai Lian and the others, and listened attentively to the teachings of the Six Saints.

Since the Supreme Lord wanted to hear the "Huang Ting Jing," Zheng Fa naturally had nothing to hide. Not to mention that he didn't even know where these six big shots were, even if they were still in Xuanwei, he didn't feel there was any need for them to covet his "Huang Ting Jing."

The six sages were quite interested. After listening to the "Huang Ting Jing", they all shared their own insights. Zheng Fa also gained a lot, but the most important thing was the subsequent content of the "Huang Ting Jing".

“The scattered immortals we know,” Nuwa said, “or rather, the ones you’re talking about are probably not the same thing.”

Zheng Fa somewhat agreed, noting that the immortal path of later generations and the immortal path of the prehistoric era were largely the same. For example, there were earth immortals and celestial immortals in the prehistoric era, which Zheng Fa had never heard of in later generations.

on the other hand……

“I really have no experience in cultivating as a Loose Immortal.” Zheng Fa glanced at Nuwa silently. Nuwa looked innocent and said, “I was born with intelligence and was a Taiyi. I only took human form as a Daluo. I really don’t know how to cultivate before becoming a Loose Immortal.”

She looked at the five elders and asked, "Fellow disciples, what about you..."

The Supreme Lords and the others all shook their heads.

There aren't many questions in this world that can stump these six big shots, but Zheng Fa stumbled upon a blind spot in their knowledge.

Tongtian was still lamenting, "Don't even mention me, none of my disciples are this weak, no matter how incompetent they are."

...You're so good with words, no wonder you got ganged up on.

This is also where the immortal path of the primordial era differs from the immortal path of later generations.

When Hongjun preached, he started as a Loose Immortal, while Tongtian and his group were already Taiyi Daluo as soon as they opened their eyes.

For the same reason, Hongjun was a master of Daoist arts, but before him, the prehistoric world already had a variety of cultivation methods. What Hongjun did was to integrate them into a system.

But this doesn't mean that Tongtian and the others were actually cultivating step by step according to this path—they didn't need to at all.

Moreover, in this era, which cultivator who catches their eye is not exceptionally talented?

They probably had never seen anyone with Zheng Fa's level of cultivation before.

Seeing his speechless expression, Yuanshi thought for a moment and said, "Actually, it's not that there are no clues to be found."

"Senior brother, are you referring to the ritual?" Nuwa asked, as if she had already thought about it.

"Yes, doesn't it look very similar?"

Zheng Fa was a little confused. He was even more bewildered when he saw Nuwa nod slightly, wondering what kind of riddle the two of them were talking about.

Tongtian didn't seem to understand either. He was impatient and asked repeatedly, "What do you mean? What are you talking about?"

"It's somewhat like the process of transforming a magical artifact from its acquired state to its innate state."

Zheng Fa's eyes widened slightly, and he was surprised. Wasn't this the function of the Qiankun Cauldron? How could it be related to attaining the Dao Fruit?

Seemingly sensing his confusion, Nuwa explained, "Do you know what is acquired and what is innate?"

Zheng Fa shook his head.

"The acquired is actually relative to the innate. For example, there are innate beings before there are acquired species, and there are innate magical treasures before there are acquired magical treasures."

That was easy to understand, but Zheng Fa asked the question that had been bothering him the most: "What's the difference between innate magic treasures and acquired magic treasures?"

Zheng Fa never understood this matter.

He also felt that the power of innate magic weapons should be stronger, but Zheng Fa was puzzled as to how much stronger they were and why they would be better than acquired magic weapons.

If it were anyone else, they would naturally assume that innate magic treasures are superior, but Zheng Fa didn't think so—

If being born early is all that matters, then naturally born beings can rule the world; what need is there for humans?
"The innate is a part of the Heavenly Dao itself. Generally speaking, innate magic treasures are born along with the Heavenly Dao." As if seeing his doubts, Goddess Nuwa explained, "The power may not be strong, but innate magic treasures are the embodiment of the Heavenly Dao themselves, and have their own advantages."

Yuanshi nodded and said, "I also have some experience in weapon crafting. Among magic weapons of the same type, innate magic weapons will restrain acquired magic weapons. When used, the spiritual power consumed by innate magic weapons and the power displayed will be stronger than that of acquired magic weapons."

"Of course, it doesn't mean that innate magic treasures are always superior to acquired magic treasures. The laws of nature are mutually reinforcing and restraining, and different magic treasures also have the principle of mutual generation and restraint. Innate magic treasures are no exception to this rule."

After the two had talked for so long, Zheng Fa sorted things out in his mind and finally managed to understand what the innate and acquired aspects of life really were.

To use an inappropriate analogy.

If we compare the Dao of Heaven to a computer's operating system, then innate magical treasures, or innate things, exist in the underlying code, while acquired creations are more like various software programs.

Innate magical treasures have the authority to function as underlying code. When they run, acquired magical treasures naturally have to give way, and they even consume fewer system resources.

On the other hand, there is no fixed distinction between strong and weak code and software with different functions. Sometimes, even a small virus can destroy the entire system.

"So, the transformation from the acquired to the innate... is about integrating magical artifacts into the Heavenly Dao?"

Nuwa nodded, and a blue light shone from her palm. A simple and ancient bronze cauldron appeared in the void, which was the Qiankun Cauldron.

"My cauldron!"

Hearing the Gu God's exclamation, even Bai Lian couldn't help but turn her head: "This cauldron is in your hands, fellow Daoist?"

The Creation Daoist seemed to have thought of something: "I saw this cauldron in the hands of the Gu God Daoist."

The others were extremely envious—they certainly didn't understand what the cauldron was, but it was a treasure left by the goddess Nuwa, so how bad could it be?
The Goddess Nuwa said to Zheng Fa, "The so-called 'returning from the acquired to the innate' of the Qiankun Cauldron is achieved by praying to the heavens, allowing the magical artifact to merge with the Dao of Heaven."

According to Zheng Fa's understanding, this means granting it higher-level permissions, or even writing to the underlying code.

"This time, the creation of humans will require the help of the Qiankun Cauldron."

At this point, Zheng Fa finally understood why Nuwa had said she had answered his question before revealing the use of the Qiankun Cauldron.

As long as he participates in the creation of humans, he will be able to see the Goddess Nuwa personally demonstrate how to use the Qiankun Cauldron.

The others, including Zaohua, were even more envious. The Golden-Winged Roc, who had been looking dejected and hadn't spoken until now, finally said, "So, fellow Daoist, you possess such a supreme treasure!"

The thought of his own path being cut off fueled his burning jealousy, and his expression toward the Gu God became somewhat ferocious.

The others had even stranger expressions, their eyes filled with envy and a hint of covetousness.

But the God of Gu showed no pride; in fact, his expression was somewhat desperate.

She said with a mournful face, "It's lost."

Upon hearing this, the Daoist of Creation widened his eyes: "What's lost?"

"This cauldron is lost, the Qiankun Cauldron is lost."

The Gu God stared longingly at the precious cauldron in Nuwa's hand: "It was snatched away by the Nine Mountains Sect."

Her voice was extremely mournful, almost heart-wrenching, but everyone, including the Creation God, felt a pang of sympathy—if they were the God of Gu, they would rather not know what this precious cauldron was.

Even the Golden-Winged Roc was stunned. After a while, a trace of pity for fellow sufferers seemed to emerge, and he actually learned to comfort people. He stammered to the Gu God, "Please...please accept my condolences."

……

The Qiankun Cauldron descended slowly in a parabolic arc from in front of everyone, eventually landing in a valley. Zheng Fa and the others also landed on the ground.

Nuwa opened her palm, and a clump of yellow earth flew out from her hand.

There's no vitality in this loess soil.

She asked Zheng Fa, "Do you know why I created humans from yellow clay?"

"Cost." Nuwa nodded gently and smiled, "Only from the most ordinary yellow earth can the human race obtain the most nourishment from heaven and earth."

Zheng Fa listened with a strange sense of emotion.

What kind of soil did Nuwa use to create humans? Many novels, in order to make the human race seem more noble, will say it was five-colored soil or even the Nine Heavens Breath Soil.

However, many ancient books, and even those that Zheng Fa has seen today, use the most ordinary loess.

This also aligns with Zheng Fa's own understanding:
All the elements in the human body can be found in nature.

On the other hand, in Zheng Fa's view, the key is not where people come from, but where they go.

At least in his mind, those who rise from the mud are no less lowly than those who originate from the earth.

The goddess Nuwa has already started playing with mud.

She squeezed a lump of clay with her fingers, and a wind blew through the valley, sculpting the outline of a man like a carving knife, followed by his facial features, hair, and eyelashes.

Once the seven orifices were carved out, the wind was poured into the clay figure through the seven orifices, as if carving its internal structure.

Nuwa was having a great time, while Zheng Fa and the others waited patiently on the side.

Soon, the goddess Nuwa sculpted thousands of small clay figures, both male and female, mostly young and middle-aged.

The goddess Nuwa was still very gentle at heart—this era was indeed not suitable for the elderly and children to live in.

Thousands of small clay figures stood before the Qiankun Cauldron. Nuwa, as if she had had enough fun, clapped her hands, stood up, and looked serious.

She pointed at the Qiankun Cauldron, and a ball of golden flame ignited between its legs.

She then took out various spiritual materials and threw them into the cauldron, explaining to Zheng Fa what they were as she did so.

This is the thing that the Nine Mountains Sect and others didn't understand in the inscription on the Qiankun Cauldron.

Zheng Fa listened intently and watched closely, trying to remember every detail for future use in refining the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation.

The Qiankun Cauldron was in a state of chaos, with wisps of smoke rising upwards, connecting the cauldron with the heavens.

The goddess Nuwa was originally wearing a light blue outer skirt, dressed simply, as if she were having a gathering with old friends.

At this moment, however, he was dressed in red robes and wore a golden crown, exuding an air of elegance and solemnity.

She stretched her arms out straight up, as if praying to the distant heavens:
"Since the war between the witches and demons, the evil spirits have soared to the sky, the calamity clouds have covered the sun, and all living beings in the primordial world have been plunged into fire and water. I received the enlightenment of the Dao Ancestor Hongjun and realized the deficiency of the three powers. Now, with yellow earth as the body and the blue sky as the witness, I make this new race a carrier of the Great Dao."

As she chanted, the grayish-white chaotic energy of the Qiankun Cauldron suddenly exploded.

Zheng Fa seemed to see the beginning of the world again. At the same time, a series of low rumbles came from the sky, as if in response.

The Daoist of Creation exclaimed, "This is actually the scene of the origin of the human race?"

"So this powerful being... is the Holy Mother of Humanity?"

Even the Gu God, who doesn't really consider himself human, now looks at Goddess Nuwa with a hint of reverence.

Of the group, only the Golden-Winged Roc was not of human origin; the rest were all human cultivators. How could they not feel affection and reverence for Nuwa, the Holy Mother of Humanity?
Looking at those little clay figures, I felt a special warmth in their eyes.

Those little clay figures have also changed.

The chaos within the Qiankun Cauldron exploded, with pure energy rising and turbid energy sinking, emerging from the cauldron and gradually enveloping the small figures. The valley seemed to have become another small world.

In this scene of nascent creation, these originally lifeless clay sculptures gradually came to life.

Like newborn babies, they waved their arms curiously and slowly, opened their mouths, and made babbling sounds.

The small world created by the Qiankun Cauldron gradually expanded.

The bodies of these newborn humans gradually grew, eventually reaching the size of normal humans, and they looked no different from the humans of later generations.

Zheng Fa finally understood.

The main reason why the Qiankun Cauldron can restore magical treasures from their original state is that it can briefly open up a space at the beginning of the universe, giving various magical treasures an "original" identity.

When the space created by the Qiankun Cauldron merged with heaven and earth, those magical treasures naturally merged into the Dao of Heaven as well.

The voice of the goddess Nuwa rang in his ears:

"This race is called the People."

The newly born humans, though unable to speak clearly, suddenly seemed to have a sudden inspiration and knelt before Nuwa, kowtowing repeatedly.

"My wish is for the human race to be in harmony with yin and yang, so that bloodlines may be passed down."

"My second wish is for humanity to quell its conflicts and bring peace to the world."

"May the human race's wisdom never be extinguished, and may the flame of the Heavenly Way continue."

After uttering the three great vows, the sky suddenly brightened.

The golden light in the sky was about to condense into liquid, surging towards Nuwa.

Nuwa's aura rose steadily, like the distant sky, making everyone who saw her feel insignificant.

Tai Shang and the others bowed to Nuwa, saying, "Congratulations, Junior Sister, on your attainment of enlightenment."

Nuwa returned the greeting to the five saints, saying, "Junior sister has only taken the first step; it is not far for you senior brothers to become saints as well."

She looked at the kneeling humans, thought for a moment, and then bowed to the Five Saints:

"Today, the Supreme Lord, the Primordial Beginning, the Tongtian, the Zhunti, and the Jieyin Saints have descended to the mortal realm to witness this grand event of creation. We humbly pray that all the Saints will bless the human race."

Heaven and earth bear witness, and humanity will prosper forever.

With a solemn expression, Taishang, accompanied by several junior disciples, returned Nuwa's greeting and said, "Heaven and earth bear witness, may humanity prosper forever."

Even Bai Lian and the others, who initially had ulterior motives, followed them in bowing to Nuwa.

But then Nuwa raised her head, turned around, and solemnly cupped her hands to Zheng Fa, who was standing to the side.

Bai Lian and the others were stunned.

Nuwa said, "From now on, I'll leave it to you, fellow Daoist."

The other five saints seemed to have anticipated this, and they all bowed to Zheng Fa.

Zheng Fa was filled with excitement. He pursed his lips and returned the greetings to the six saints one by one.

Bai Lian stared at her ancestor bowing solemnly to Zheng Fa, her mouth agape, unsure of what to say.

Even the Daoist of Creation looked somewhat numb, his mind in turmoil:
Not to mention that the White Lotus has two patriarchs, Nuwa now calls this Shi Nan a fellow Daoist.

Nuwa is not only the Holy Mother of the human race, but her cultivation level is now so high that they dare not look directly at her. She calls Zheng Fa Daoist Fellow, so what generation does Shi Nan have?
What should we call them?
……

Nuwa raised her head and gently drew a line across the sea of merit in the sky, causing a small piece of merit to fall towards Zheng Fa.

Zheng Fa looked up and heard the voice of the Goddess Nuwa:
"With the three powers complete, if not now we attain enlightenment, when will we ever again?"

Zheng Fafu was moved by the thought and leaped up.
