Overlord: Start from the Goblin Lair.

Chapter 140: Ghost Gathering

Chapter 140: Ghost Gathering
"Uh, no." The golden dragon disguised as a black dragon shuddered slightly, "Except for his writings. He, no, his views on dragons are indeed insightful."

"But I think we should not dwell on this topic any further, okay?"

Ron shrugged. He didn't need to respect and fear this "Fitzburn" as much as he did the Golden Dragon, especially after he had read this guy's works.

On the fifth night, Ron raised the hand mirror, and sure enough, when the moonlight shone on the mirror, the disgusting ugly face of the witch Polly appeared on the mirror.

"Well, have you made up your mind, young man?" Polly laughed and her voice came from the mirror.

Ron took the initiative to communicate with her, which meant that he had already thought about it. It also meant that her revenge plan could begin!

When Ron and the others returned to the witch's hut along the original route, snakes, scorpions, insects and beasts along the way made way for them, as if they were instructed by their masters. Two huge black hounds bared their teeth and growled at them at the door, and behind them, the rotten Polly stood on the steps at the door, welcoming the group with a smile.

"Good boy, good boy!" Polly stroked the two hounds, preventing them from jumping on their guests. She raised her head, and when Ron and others approached, she had several masks in her hands.

"Come on, take these with you. This is a necessary disguise - I didn't cast any spells, this is just an empty mask."

One of these masks was apparently specially made for the "Black Dragon Baby" to wear on his face.

"You first." Ron handed the mask to the "Young Black Dragon". When it put the witch's mask on its face, the scales on its body immediately lit up with an inscription that protected against evil.

"Uh, this, this is what I forgot!" The witch was really dishonest. When she saw that her trick was exposed, she quickly snatched back the other masks in Ron's hand and removed the magic on them one by one. "You can wear them with confidence this time - hey, do you suspect that an old woman has any bad intentions?"

"I didn't doubt it at first, but now it's hard to say," Sera muttered, and was the last one to put on the mask, "You'd better stop playing tricks, or my sword will replace your spine and stick it into your chest!"

The threats of the barbarians were always so simple and crude. Polly's face darkened, but she said nothing more.

"Let's go," she said, leading the way with two hounds. "I'll take you to the meeting place, which is a little far from my home."

"Nighthounds," "Exuri" whispered to Ron, "These spirits are born to serve their masters. When the original master dies, they will look for a new evil master, such as a vampire, necromancer, or hag."

"They cannot appear in sunlight. When exposed to the outside for a long time, they will instinctively become afraid and flee back to the etheric plane. Their masters can only call them back after sunset."

"The little dragon cub knows a lot," Polly said without looking back. "It's a pity that these two hounds were separated from their tribe and given to me as gifts by Auntie. If I succeed this time, I can own them all."

"You are quite ambitious," Jin Long stared at the ghost woman's back, "but I advise you to use this power for the right cause."

"You are a black dragon, so you are qualified to teach me a lesson?" Polly snorted indignantly, "Oh, by the way, I almost forgot about this."

"You are nothing more than a puppy domesticated by humans. You have thrown the dignity of Tiamat to the winds. Who do you believe in now? Asteria? Tamara?" "It can't be that hypocrite Bahamut, right?"

The witch did not believe in gods, so she had no respect when she mentioned them, but to Ron's surprise, the golden dragon showed amazing endurance at this moment, and he did not react at all even though Polly ridiculed him like that.

Under the moonlight, Polly led Ron and the others through the wilderness, swamps and jungles, and finally stopped outside a clearing in the woods.

Through the gaps in the woods, Ron could vaguely see two tall, hunched figures swaying in the darkness. They must be the other two dark sisters in Polly's gathering.

"I never thought you could come back alive," a witch who looked 70% similar to her squinted at her as Polly approached. "My dear sister, it seems that you didn't end up well, did you?"

"The whistleblower will be punished just the same."

"So Auntie didn't let you go?" Polly laughed gleefully. "You're still alive!"

"There are always many kind-hearted people in Delusion Land," her sister screamed twice, "Aren't you the same? They clearly saved your life, but you still made them your slaves."

"Well, you two traitors, stop your verbal tirade," the largest and ugliest hag said, stopping the sisters' quarrel. "Come on, let me see your sincerity, and then decide whether to pardon one of you."

"One of them?" Polly and Sally were both startled. "You mean, no, you don't mean--"

"Traitors must pay the price," Auntie said in a dignified and unquestionable tone. When she said this, Ron seemed to hear the emphasis, as if there was another witch inside her body speaking as well. "Only one of you can survive. The one who lacks sincerity must choose one of the two prices."

"After replenishing your 'sincerity', you must leave the land of delusion and never come back; or you will pay the price with your life."

Polly and Sally looked at each other, and then answered in unison, "That must be my most sincere apology, Auntie!"

"I brought seven servants, humans, half-elves, dhampirs, a black dragon cub, and uh, a goblin!" Polly said respectfully, "I also brought the hound you gave me before. I know I don't deserve such a courtesy, so I return it to you."

Sally looked at Ron and his group behind her sister with an uncertain expression: "A goblin? You are really good at it. Do we still need a goblin?"

"Auntie, I only brought a servant with me, but I guarantee that he means a lot to you!" As she spoke, the witch pulled out a male elf from behind her. "He has a distinguished background and legendary experience! He knows everything that happened in that destroyed elven town! He is the only remnant of that elven empire!"

"Allow me to dedicate him to my dearest aunt and mother, whose maiden name is the noble von Richthofen, and whose name is Mindatis Lane!"

Ron: “Huh?”
