Chapter 8: Making a Move for Yang Ronghua
The inspection team immediately took Ji Hao into custody, and Yang Ronghua strode forward to help Jiang Xin put on her clothes.

Although Jiangxin was awake, his eyes were dull and lifeless, and he did not respond to anything people said.

"Ji Sisi, what are you doing here? What are these people doing?" Ji Hao looked up in fear and found that the people standing in the room were all wearing red armbands.

"Ji Sisi, you bitch, you framed me! I'm innocent!"

Ji Hao felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, fear engulfing him, his lips trembling, "Don't listen to her nonsense, she's lying to you all. She just swindled me out of my job the day before yesterday, and now she's framing me and my partner, it's all a misunderstanding!"

The inspection team leader was used to this; everyone he caught claimed to be innocent, but when the investigation was conducted, none of them were innocent.

Captain Song scoffed, turning his head to order, "Get him under control! Take him back to the station. I'll report this to the leadership. This kid must be publicly executed to warn those who have the desire to steal but lack the courage, and let them see the consequences of their thieving hearts!"

Upon hearing about the public execution, Ji Hao felt weak all over and fainted.

"Captain Song, this matter is being handled jointly by the Women's Federation and the Inspection Department. It wouldn't be right to hand the person over to you, would it?" Yang Ronghua reminded Captain Song.

Captain Song gave a forced smile. "Director Yang, isn't it enough for your Women's Federation to just take care of the women? You should take this woman back and care for her, contact her family to take her away, and you don't need to worry about the rest."

Ji Sisi smelled a strong gunpowder scent and felt that a major battle was about to break out.

This whole thing started because of her, so we can't let Yang Ronghua suffer a loss, nor can we let the inspectors who put in the effort have any complaints.

Ji Sisi suggested, "Director Yang, let's send the person back first. It's the middle of the night, and the Jiang family must be worried because they can't find him."

Yang Ronghua frowned, about to refuse, when Ji Sisi said again, "Don't worry, I have a way!"

"That person is yours to handle," Yang Ronghua reluctantly agreed.

Having finally managed to get the Women's Federation involved in a rescue effort, Yang Ronghua was even planning to hold a themed ideological meeting on this topic.

This way, not only can the masses be educated, but the higher-ups can also see her efforts.

Ji Sisi and Yang Ronghua helped Jiang Xin leave the guesthouse.

"Why did you stop me just now? Those inspectors were really greedy, all they wanted was to take credit!"

Yang Ronghua was indignant, her heart burning with anger.

She was asking for help, but in the end, she became the one who helped!
Ji Sisi reminded her, "Director Yang, have you forgotten whose daughter we rescued?"

"What happened to Jiang, the factory manager's daughter, this time?"

Ji Sisi was somewhat helpless; it seemed that Yang Ronghua was truly bewildered by the inspectors.

"If you were to write an article about rescuing the factory manager's daughter and also about women protecting their personal safety, do you think the chances of it being published are high?"

"Let's list our street's Women's Federation as the publishing unit, Director Yang, what do you think?"

Yang Ronghua's expression changed slightly, then her eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, "Sisi, that's a great idea! Young people really do a good job! You've really helped me a lot!"

Yang Ronghua's mood instantly brightened.

What if the inspectors reported to their superiors? She reported it to the newspaper first, letting the whole Jianghai know that the Women's Federation had done something big, reflecting the importance and necessity for women to be wary of those around them through a real case.

"You're such a lucky star! Every time I see you, something good happens!" Yang Ronghua grinned from ear to ear, already rubbing her hands together, eager to finish a manuscript tonight.

Seeing that Yang Ronghua's mood had improved, Ji Sisi finally felt relieved.

"Director Yang, I have another request. When you write it, could you please portray me as an enthusiastic citizen? As you know, I don't have a good relationship with my stepmother's family, and I don't want to cause trouble because of it."

Yang Ronghua naturally understood, "Don't worry, I definitely won't tell."

When Ji Sisi returned home, Wang Cuifen was sitting in the living room.

Where have you been so late?

"No comment. Aunt Wang, is something on your mind that keeps you up so late?" Ji Sisi asked indifferently.

Wang Cuifen curled her lips and said, "No comment! I heard from your older sister that you're leaving tomorrow. Be careful. I heard the environment in the Northwest is terrible, and there are a lot of robbers and thieves on the train. Don't die on the way."

Ji Sisi: "..."

It's not certain who will die first. She kindly reminded Wang Cuifen to go to sleep. Once the news gets back tomorrow, it will be difficult to get back to sleep.

Ji Sisi went straight back to her room to rest.

Seeing Ji Sisi return to the room, Wang Cuifen stood up nervously.

For some reason, her eyelids started twitching badly after she finished eating, and she had a feeling that something was about to happen.

Wang Cuifen comforted herself, thinking that Haozi must have succeeded. Her daughter-in-law would be the factory director's daughter, and she and the factory director of the state-owned factory would be related by marriage. It was probably just excitement.
-
Ji Sisi set an alarm for 5 a.m.

Hearing the alarm clock ring, Ji Sisi kicked off the covers and rolled around on the bed twice before sitting up to wake herself up.

Last night, Ji Sisi did the math. The dowry cabinets, trunks, and other large items were difficult for her to move. Moreover, the cabinets, trunks, and sewing machine were all in Wang Cuifen's room. Going to get them now would alert her.

Perhaps we should change our target.

Ji Sisi tiptoed out of the room, her gaze falling on the living room and kitchen, her smile growing ever wider.

Pawning her dowry? Then she'll empty the kitchen and living room!

Ji Sisi started moving things, from small pots and pans to large tables and benches, she grabbed everything she could carry and put it into her space.

Finally, Ji Sisi looked at the empty kitchen and living room, wiped her sweat, and was very satisfied.

Fearing that Wang Cuifen would find out, she got up early and went to the train station at 7:30.

I had arranged to meet Qi Yan at eight o'clock, so I had half an hour to spare.

Ji Sisi wandered around the waiting area for a long time with her luggage before finally finding an empty seat and sitting down.

"What are you doing? This is my spot!"

Ji Sisi's buttocks tightened, startling her into straightening her back. "Excuse me, I didn't know there were people here."

The woman wore a blue floral top and a black long skirt. She had short, neat hair that reached her ears, and her round, almond-shaped eyes were glaring at Ji Sisi with displeasure.

"What are you looking at?"

Sensing the other party's hostility, Ji Sisi, not wanting to cause trouble, decided to find another place and headed towards the station entrance with her things.

Qi Yan raised his hand and glanced at the time: 7:30.

Qi Yan arrived at the train station at 7:00 AM for the 9:00 AM train. He arrived early to reserve a seat, hoping to wait for Ji Sisi to arrive so he could sit and rest for a while.

Qi Yan straightened his back and stared intently at the station entrance, afraid of missing Ji Sisi's figure.

Ji Sisi had just walked over from the opposite side when she passed two female comrades, who were talking in hushed tones.

"This is the first time I've ever seen such a handsome gay man. His muscles are really reassuring. It's just a pity he's engaged."

Another person lamented, "Yeah, it's like something out of a movie. He even came so early to save a seat for his fiancée. His fiancée must be so envious."

From their descriptions, Ji Sisi could easily guess that the person was Qi Yan, and she headed straight for his area with her things in her arms.
