Chapter 28 The Worst Choice
The efficiency of the British police is something that only those who understand can understand.

This was an extremely suspicious matter, but without any evidence or search warrant, they just left like that.

Looking at the departing police car, Vernon snorted proudly, as if he had won a battle.

Then he followed Penny and Dudley back to the house, happily discussing what the empty closet could be used for.

But they didn't expect that after entering the house, walking through the corridor and coming to the living room, there were already three uninvited guests.

The most terrifying one among them had only one arm, gray hair at the temples, and a face as pale as paper. He looked like a living dead.

When Dali saw Lei Xiaogu, he screamed in fear and hid behind Vernon.

Vernon was also panicked at first, but when he saw the familiar figure sitting on the sofa, the fear in his mind was immediately cleared away and turned into anger.

"HARRY PORTER!"

Vernon, the Muggle, had eyes that seemed to be spitting flames. His shout scared Petunia and Dudley behind him.

However, after being reminded, they turned their attention to Harry and immediately put on angry faces as well.

"Where have you been fooling around these past few days? I'm warning you, you bastard, the Dursleys are not as uneducated as your parents. We are decent people and we won't allow you to stay out all night, and yet you've disappeared for almost a week!"

Vernon said as he reached out to grab Harry's hair.

Harry was actually frightened by Vernon's aura, and subconsciously looked at Du Mu, trying to find support.

But Du Mu just gave him an encouraging smile.

Somehow, when Harry saw this encouragement, the fear from the shadow of his childhood disappeared instantly.

That is a kind of confidence... a kind of courage that is almost fearless after knowing that someone has your back.

Harry slapped Vernon's hand away with a 'snap!'

Vernon staggered, and was actually caused by the impact of the hand to stumble to the side for several steps, and almost fell.

"Ahhhhh!!"

Vernon did not fall due to loss of balance, but fell to his knees with a scream due to the severe pain in his hand.

He just felt like his hand was inserted into magma, every inch of his skin was burning, and the pain penetrated deep into his bones.

Petunia looked at Vernon's hand in horror, and saw a very clear handprint left on it, which was an inch shorter than the surrounding area. It even made Vernon's fist bone concave, and it looked like the bones were broken!

Seeing this, Lei Xiaogu couldn't help but sneer.

This is just the beginning! The little devil didn't use any special energy in his body at all. He just tapped lightly and made him scream like this.

If this fat pig had been forced to endure those two attacks, it would have been beaten to death on the spot.

Harry was a little surprised. He didn't expect that his casual attack would be so powerful.

Dali looked at Harry in horror, not caring about his parents at all. He crawled upstairs, slammed the bedroom door, and locked himself inside.

Du Mu could hear it, and he even crawled into the closet, covered himself with clothes, and shivered.

Petunia held Vernon's severed hand distressedly. She raised her head, looking as ferocious as an old witch in a horror story, and shrieked hysterically, "Harry Potter! You bastard! How dare you hit your uncle! I shouldn't have been soft-hearted and adopted you. I should have let you starve to death on the street!"

Du Mu coughed lightly, interrupting the other person's emotions and said, "Sorry, I did some research, and the welfare homes of your era are quite formal. Even if you don't raise Harry, he won't starve to death."

In this era, it's okay for remote areas, but this is the suburbs of London, the capital of a long-established European power. If an orphan is found and sent to an orphanage, he will be guaranteed services such as food, clothing, housing and transportation, and his studies will not be delayed at all.

Even Harry is a healthy baby without any disabilities and looks very cute. Couples who want to adopt such a high-quality child can line up from the British Museum to the Arc de Triomphe, and the competition is very fierce.

This is not an ancient rural area where giving food to a child is a great favor. That is like raising a dog. On the contrary, if the Dursleys had simply abandoned Harry, his quality of life would have been a hundred times better than it is now. The only thing that can be said is that the blood magic in Harry needs to be consolidated and strengthened by the Dursleys.

But the caster of blood magic was Harry's mother, and the enhancer was Dumbledore. As for the Dursleys...if they knew the existence of this magic, they would probably want to go to the hospital for a blood transfusion. As long as they could make something as dirty as magic ineffective, the Dursleys would do anything.

Penny was choked by Du Mu and was speechless.

The reason why she kept Harry was actually out of kindness. Her sister had just died, and seeing Harry alone and helpless, the little kindness left in her heart made her keep him.

Then the kindness was exhausted.

The endless jealousy towards his sister, over time, brewed into deep hatred.

This disgust was poured out on Harry without reservation.

The initial kindness made Harry suffer the most painful fate of all the choices he made.

Looking at Harry in front of her and thinking of her sister's magical talent, Penny finally felt fear.

She remembered... the horror of magic, and the power of magic.

When Harry grew up, the freak son of his sister...turned into a demon, a devil, and wanted revenge on his family!

Harry looked at the painful Vernon and the panicked Petunia, gritted his teeth, and finally did not say anything harsh.

In fact, he was fantasizing at the beginning that now that he was so powerful, he must return all the punches that Vernon had given him.

But when he really stood in front of them and looked at their unprecedentedly miserable state, Harry still felt that revenge was not so sweet.

Harry took a deep breath. This time he did not look at Du Mu to ask for courage from him. Instead, he independently pondered his own thoughts.

"I hate you guys."

The clear and straightforward words made Penny blanche.

She hurriedly protected Vernon, and Vernon hurriedly protected her, and the two of them started to pull each other.

“I’ve lived the life I wanted.”

Harry looked at them and said word by word: "So, we will never see each other again."

As soon as these words came out, all the past events suddenly came to mind.

The grievances that had finally found an outlet for release were so strong that even though Harry bit his lips hard, he couldn't help but have red eyes.

He quickly lowered his head and wanted to rush out of the house.

He didn't want Uncle Doe to see him being weak, nor did he want the Dursleys to see the grievances he had suffered in the past.

Because Harry knew that Uncle Doe would not think he was weak, and the Dursleys would not think he should be wronged.

"Bang!" There was a sound like shackles being cut off and a cage being smashed!
Harry even used his shoulder to slam the door of the Dursleys' house down, and couldn't wait to stand on the free land.

He couldn't help but raise his hands high, enjoying the free sunshine and air...

But then, he saw the flying door suspended in the air.

Harry looked in astonishment at an old man with a long white beard, holding a wooden stick, and looking at him with surprise.

Du Mu came to the corridor and saw the old man standing outside at a glance.

The visitor was none other than the headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore.
