Chapter 85 Bronsky
Levi walked into a pub in Portsmouth, England.

In the noisy environment, most of the guests were soldiers in military uniform.

There are almost no regular customers.

Because of its proximity to the naval base and the Royal Marines, this pub has become, in a sense, a club for British naval and Royal Marine personnel.

So when Levi, dressed in a suit and of Asian descent, appeared, it immediately surprised many people.

However, no one came up to cause trouble for Li Wei.

Although the British military has had its share of scandals, they are mostly internal.

When dealing with outsiders, this group of Angas is quite particular about putting on a show.

They weren't as casual as American soldiers.

Especially the navy.

Li Wei didn't care about the surprised looks. He glanced around and immediately locked onto his target at the bar.

"A glass of water, please!" Li Wei said to the bartender, as he placed a US dollar bill on the table.

Whether in this life or the previous one, Li Wei has no feelings about alcoholic beverages.

The bartender had initially intended to mock Li Wei's behavior of coming to a bar for water, but upon seeing the US dollars, he immediately adopted an elegant demeanor, took the money, and then respectfully handed Li Wei a glass of water, even thoughtfully asking if he wanted ice.

Li Wei said he didn't need it.

“Captain Bronsky?” Levi greeted the officer beside him.

“This isn’t a place for a kid like you!” Bronsky said, glancing at him.

Although he was wearing a suit and tie, Bronsky could tell at a glance that Levi was definitely not a businessman.

They looked more like college students getting ready to go to a party.

I have to say, he has a pretty good eye.

If Li Wei hadn't dropped out of school, he would indeed be a college student.

“But some things don’t care about age!” Li Wei pointed at the water glass in front of him, and the water inside instantly turned into ice.

Bronsky, who had initially paid no attention to Levi, and the bartender behind the counter were both staring wide-eyed.

"Are you a magician?" Bronsky asked, frowning.

"Let's talk alone?" Li Wei said instead of answering.

“Come with me!” Bronsky said, looking Levi up and down again, before getting up and walking toward the back of the bar.

"Tell me, who are you, and what do you want with me?" Bronsky asked Levi as they entered the alley behind the bar.

“It’s actually very simple. I just wanted to ask Captain Bronsky if he has any plans to switch jobs,” Levi said.

"Changing jobs? Heh, give me a reason?" Bronsky chuckled upon hearing this.

As one of the elite of the military, Bronsky is now 35 years old.

Many people tried to recruit him, and even the military wanted to promote him.

But he rejected them all.

Because he only wanted to be a warrior and constantly pushed his own limits.

This is also why, in the original storyline, at the advanced age of 39, he accepted General Ross's recruitment to fight the Hulk.

If this kind of person were placed in the world of martial arts, they would be considered a top-tier martial arts fanatic, who wouldn't care about anything else as long as they could continuously improve their strength.

So to some extent, this kind of person is a double-edged sword.

If you can help him improve his strength, he will follow you. But if one day you can no longer help him improve his strength, but someone else can, the probability of him betraying you will be very high.

His attitude toward General Ross in the original storyline is a good example.

But you have to admit that this kind of person can be really useful when they're in a good position.

As long as you can guarantee that you are stronger than him, you don't need to worry about his betrayal.

Moreover, someone like Bronsky, if he were to betray someone, would do it head-on, which is why Levi was willing to recruit him.

As for why it's necessary to recruit these adults—it's naturally because they are readily available combat power.

And when facing battle, they are truly fearless!

This is a true warrior who dared to face the Hulk head-on as an ordinary human!
"Reason? Is making you stronger enough?" Li Wei asked.

"Make me stronger? You?" Bronsky looked at Levi with disdain.

Then he saw Li Wei rushing towards him, and before he could react, he was sent flying.

"What do you think now?" Levi asked, tilting his head as he looked at Bronsky lying on the ground.

Now, having consumed the Titan Elixir, he possesses superhuman physical abilities, making him far beyond the reach of Bronsky, an ordinary human.

Bronsky remained lying on the ground, not getting up to retaliate against Levi.

Instead, he looked up at the sky, somewhat questioning the meaning of life.

How long has it been since he's felt this powerless to resist?

Although the exchange was brief, his extensive combat experience allowed him to quickly make his judgment.

The opponent knocked him away, not because of a sneak attack.

It's not a difference in absolute strength.

"Who exactly are you?" Bronsky got up from the ground, his gaze towards Levi filled with seriousness.

“Captain Bronsky, this world isn’t as simple as you think… So, are you interested in entering another world? A world you’ve never experienced before!” Levi didn’t answer directly, but said with a smile.

No wonder Blackie loves to show off so much; it feels really good.

"If you can really give me that power too, it's not something I can't consider!" Bronsky licked his lips and said excitedly.

No matter who the other person is, as long as they can truly make him stronger, nothing else matters.

"Let me introduce myself, Victor Lee, one of the founders of the League—a superhero group dedicated to solving crises that threaten Earth. Welcome to the League!" Lee extended his hand to Bronsky as he introduced himself.

“A superhero group? I’m not interested in being a hero. I’m just a soldier. As long as you can make me stronger, I don’t care about anything else, sir!” Bronsky did not shake hands with Levi, but instead gave a military salute.

The implication is clear: he has little interest in being a superhero.

Instead, he chose to pledge personal loyalty to Li Wei—provided, of course, that Li Wei could make him stronger as he had promised.

“A soldier? That’s not bad!” Levi was slightly surprised to see Bronsky salute him. He looked him up and down again and then imagined Bronsky charging into battle in plate armor and a battle axe.

It doesn't seem to work?
“Very well, I’ll give you a week to settle your personal matters, how about that?” Li Wei asked.

“No need, three days will be enough, sir!” Blonsky replied decisively.

“Very good. Three days from now, still here. I’ll be waiting for you!” Li Wei nodded, and then, to Bronsky’s astonishment, opened the portal and disappeared into the alley.

After Levi left, Bronsky stood there in a daze for a long time before finally leaving.

Clearly, the brief encounter had a profound psychological impact on him.
