Chapter 50 Father
It was already late at night when I got back to New York.

Tony went straight back to Stark Industries.

Levi and Frank settled the three generations of Black Widows at the Alliance headquarters before returning home.

As soon as Li Wei got home, he noticed something was wrong.

Someone at home.

The door he opened led directly to the bedroom.

Meanwhile, a figure sat by the desk in his bedroom, witnessing the entire process of Li Wei opening the door.

Startled, Li Wei immediately used Frost Nova, freezing his opponent in place.

However, before Li Wei could even breathe a sigh of relief, something unexpected happened: the opponent broke through the Frost Nova's freeze and pounced towards Li Wei.

Fortunately, Li Wei reacted quickly, raising his hand and sending a cloud of skull-shaped mist that instantly struck his opponent. He then lunged to the side and disappeared from the spot.

However, without taking any action, Li Wei equipped himself with his usual three-piece escape kit of glyph skills.

Frost Nova, fear, vanish.

The Fear spell can put someone in a state of confusion.

Disappearance is similar to becoming invisible.

After being hit by the fear spell, the opponent landed in the original location of Li Wei and entered a state of confusion, starting to run around like a headless fly.

But it wasn't over yet. As Li Wei disappeared, he had already installed the Sap glyph in his glyphs, and a full steel baseball bat appeared in his hand... Without a weapon, the Sap skill cannot be used, but since it's called Sap, it must be done with a stick, right?

Using a small dagger is outrageous.

"Stop, stop, stop! You brat, it's me!" But before Li Wei could even strike with his stick, the other person had already broken free of the confusion and shouted loudly.

Upon hearing this voice, Li Wei was momentarily stunned.

That voice sounded so familiar, and it was speaking Chinese.

Wait a minute, isn't this the original owner's cheap father?

"Dad? What are you doing?" Li Wei canceled the disappearance spell, revealed himself, walked to the bedside, turned on the bedroom light, and looked at Fang in surprise.

Although it felt a little awkward, he still called out the name according to the original owner's memories.

"You brat, it's all because of your dropping out of school! You're not satisfied with just making me angry, you really want to kill me!" Li Feng, the original owner of Li Wei's body, a handsome middle-aged man with a square face, cursed angrily.

Upon seeing the all-steel baseball bat in Li Wei's hand, he felt a chill run down his spine.

If that thing really hit him on the head, he'd probably be dead.

From their brief exchange, he realized that his son was no ordinary person.

The force of that blow was absolutely extraordinary.

"Hehe, didn't you scare me by sitting in my room in the dark?" Li Wei chuckled as he saw the other person's gaze fall on the baseball bat in his hand and put the bat behind his back.

"Hmph, if it weren't for this, do you think I would be standing here talking to you properly?" Li Feng snorted coldly, speaking irritably.

However, the way he looked at Li Wei was somewhat puzzling.

This kid is different now.

And so, the bedroom suddenly fell silent.

The father and son just stared at each other, wide-eyed.

"What you just used was... magic?" Li Feng finally asked after a long silence.

“Yes.” Li Wei scratched his head. Damn it, the other party’s demeanor reminded him of his father, plus the influence of the original owner of the body. He felt inexplicably scared when facing the other party.

I was clearly not much younger than him in my past life.

“Karmar-Taj?” Li Feng asked again.

Li Wei's eyes widened immediately. Asking about magic wasn't surprising.

After all, his appearance and the skills he acquired later were clearly beyond the comprehension of normal people.

It's not surprising to speculate that it's related to magic.

But the fact that his cheap father knew about Kamar-Taj made things different.

Then, considering that the other party had broken through his Frost Nova from the very beginning.

In addition to the two guns that were of an unusually high level.

Clearly, it was his cheap father.

Extraordinary.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm your father, isn't it normal for me to know more?" Li Feng said with a smile when he saw Li Wei's shocked look.

"This is not normal at all..." Li Wei muttered to himself.

And the Ancient One didn't tell him about something so important.

Gu Yi: You didn't ask~
"So which teacher in Kamar-Taj did you become a disciple of?" Li Feng asked after taking a sip of the tea he had brewed earlier. "No wonder you dropped out of school and became a disciple of Kamar-Taj. There's really no need for you to go to university anymore. The knowledge in Kamar-Taj alone is enough for you to study for a lifetime."

“The Ancient One!” Li Wei answered without hesitation.

Upon hearing this, Li Feng spat out his tea.

"Who did you say?" he asked, his face filled with disbelief.

"Gu Yi... what's wrong?" Li Wei asked curiously.

"How could someone like you be chosen by Master Gu Yi?" Li Feng looked at his son with a strange gaze and said.

Upon hearing this, Li Wei's face darkened.

Was the original owner of this body really his biological child?
"Dad, are you very familiar with Kamar-Taj?" Levi couldn't help but ask.

“I wouldn’t say I’m very familiar with them, but I know a little about them. Don’t even think about it, I’m not from Kamar-Taj,” Li Feng said. “It’s just that I used to be a witcher, belonging to a witcher organization, and I had dealings with some mages in Kamar-Taj, so I know a bit about them.”

"The Witcher? A demon? Mephisto?" Levi asked.

So this world isn't just about the Avengers storyline; there are demons too?

But thinking about it, it makes sense. Ghost Rider has appeared in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline.

Given that, it's not surprising that there are witchers.

"Hiss, brat, it's good that you know. You can't just call out the name of the Lord of Hell like that." Li Feng's expression changed slightly when he heard Li Wei call Mephisto by his name.

"Uh, it's not that serious, is it?" Li Wei said after a moment of surprise.

"It's not that serious, but most of the time, it's best to avoid things that need to be avoided," Li Feng said, shaking his head.

"But Dad, you said you used to be a Witcher, does that mean you're not anymore?" Li Wei asked, thinking of what Li Feng had said earlier.

“That’s right, I retired 18 years ago!” Li Feng said with a smile.

18 years ago? Li Wei was taken aback when he heard this.

That's when the original body was born.

So, did the other person retire because of the original owner of this body?
Thinking about this, Li Wei felt a strange mix of emotions.

After all, he had already replaced the original body.

"Don't overthink it. I didn't retire entirely because of you. The main reason was that Master Ancient One had already reached a peace agreement with the Hell dimension, and there weren't many demons left on Earth. The existence of the Witcher organization was no longer necessary." Li Feng didn't know that his son had been switched, and assumed that Li Wei thought he had retired for his sake, so he comforted him.

Li Wei remained silent.
