The Great Demon Lord of the American Comics World

Chapter 4, Part 04: The New Mutant, Magik!

Chapter 4, Part 04: The New Mutant, Magik!

Iliana Rasputin?

Lord of Hell's Borderlands?

Li Xingzhou's eyes flickered slightly.

This name did not exist in his memories of being Leonardo before his awakening.

However, Li Xingzhou found this name and title in his memories from ten lifetimes ago.

This is a mutant codenamed "Ghost".

She not only possesses mutant superpowers but has also mastered magic and can transform into a demon. In fact, her superpower is "spatial teleportation," which explains why she was able to bypass Li Xingzhou's senses and appear silently behind him.

In addition, she is Russian, which explains why she speaks with a slight trilled "r" sound.

Oh, and she also has an older brother who is a member of the X-Men, codenamed "Colossus".

However, judging from Iriana's current outfit, she doesn't seem to have joined the X-Men yet?

Thoughts raced through Li Xingzhou's mind, but he maintained a smile on his face and said softly:

“My name is Leonardo Victor, just an ordinary person with a few special abilities… well, I’m particularly good at persuading people.”

“That’s not very honest.” Iliana curled her lip. “To be able to subdue a bloodthirsty demon with just words, that’s more than just ‘having a special ability.’ Even among mutants who are good at mind control, few can do what you do.”

Li Xingzhou smiled modestly: "You flatter me."

"Your tone sounds like that of a Chinese person. Americans don't usually speak as modestly as you do."

"Hehe, I do have one-quarter Chinese ancestry and am deeply influenced by Chinese culture. I also have a Chinese name, Li Xingzhou."

“Is that so?” Iliana shook her head. “Anyway, whether you are a mutant, a superhuman, or have practiced some evil dark magic, it has nothing to do with me. I just want to take him away.”

She pointed to Jason, who was still kneeling before Li Xingzhou:

“This guy is dangerous and doesn’t belong to the human world. I have to take him back to hell and detain him.”

"Well..."

Li Xingzhou pondered for a moment, then spread his hands and shook his head:

“But Jason is now my spoils of war, and I can’t just hand over such an important prize because of your words.”

“However, I did not ‘ask’ you to give him to me.” Iliana’s lips curled into a slightly sinister smile. “You didn’t think… I, a lord of the hellish frontier who rules and whips demons, would negotiate with you, did you?”

Li Xingzhou raised an eyebrow: "So, you want to seize it by force?"

"Heh." Iliana chuckled. "You can try to persuade me too. Use your superpower of persuasion."

"Persuade" her?
If it were any other mutant, Li Xingzhou might actually give it a try, but he knew very well that with his current abilities, it was impossible for him to "convince" Iliana.

Although the mutant "Genius" does not have the ability to actively attack others' minds, she has extremely strong mental defenses.

Its mental defenses are so strong that even Professor X cannot break through them.

Even though the path of inner demons is profound and far more powerful than simple mental abilities, Li Xingzhou has not yet begun his cultivation, his abilities are almost gone, and most of his primordial spirit power is devoted to suppressing Jason. Therefore, at most, he can only make Iriana have a slight liking for him and be able to communicate with him a little patiently.

As for "persuading" her to change her mind, that's absolutely impossible.

but……

"Regarding Jason's fate, I do have a suggestion." Li Xingzhou spread his hands, indicating that he had no intention of opposing her, while maintaining his elegant and charming smile:

"I think we might be able to make a deal..."

……

Two days later, early in the morning.

Inside a luxury hotel in Queens, New York.

Li Xingzhou opened his eyes, pried open the several pink legs and snowy arms wrapped around him, glanced at Helena and Katie who were fast asleep, and got up to get dressed.

That's right, the seemingly innocent Helena spent the night with Katie and Li Xingzhou, giving him a good taste of the sharp tongue and intense passion of an American girl.

As for why this is the case...

The night before last, after making a deal with Iriana, Li Xingzhou returned to the cabin, called Stevens, Helena, and Katie, and drove away. Once they reached a place where they could make phone calls, they called the police.

After the police arrived and examined the scene, they took a few statements from Li Xingzhou and the other three, and then let them go without further ado.

This is because Li Xingzhou is particularly good at "persuasion," and the police never suspected from the beginning that Chris was murdered by the four of them.

Secondly, homicides are so frequent in the United States, with tens of thousands dying from gunshot wounds every year, and countless more disappearing without a trace. American police have long been accustomed to it.

What's the big deal if a couple of people die?
It wasn't a mass shooting in a public place.

Especially in a remote place like Crystal Lake, where many murders have occurred, deaths are all too common. The local police probably won't bother to investigate the cases seriously, and the case files will likely be thrown into the archives to gather dust within a couple of days.

In short, poor Chris died for nothing.

It was already past midnight when I left the police station.

The four of them found a motel in the area and spent the night there. That same night, Katie sneaked into Li Xingzhou's room in the middle of the night, and then Helena followed suit…

Li Xingzhou can swear on his conscience that he absolutely did not use the magic gate to bewitch the two of them into giving themselves to him.

Katie and Helena went to the door one after the other purely because of their lack of security due to post-traumatic stress disorder—after all, the killer had not been caught, and how could two girls who had just seen a dead head dare to sleep alone?
Of course, they had to come to Li Xingzhou, who had calmed their emotions and given them a strong sense of security at Crystal Lake.

Li Xingzhou naturally wouldn't refuse. In this life, he intended to change his ways and do good deeds. The two poor girls, restless and unable to sleep, sought his comfort; how could he possibly refuse such a meritorious act?
Katie is devastated by the loss of her boyfriend, and Helena is on the verge of a breakdown!

Of course, he had to comfort them properly.

As a demon who has lived for nine lifetimes and ten thousand years, Li Xingzhou has naturally had countless women.

Even so, he still maintained a strong curiosity and a burning desire.

This is not only because the demonic path is heavy with desires, but also one of the key reasons why his mind has remained young despite the passage of time. It sounds lofty to say that one has experienced vicissitudes, seen through the mortal world, and has a calm mind, but if a cultivator is so indifferent that he is not interested in anything, what is the point of longevity?

Isn't it just for the sake of immortality?
What's the difference between it and a piece of granite that has stood the test of time?

In any case, Li Xingzhou has lived through nine lifetimes and tens of thousands of years, and still considers himself a youth, maintaining curiosity about everything new and desire for everything beautiful. Thus, even after hundreds of millions of years, he remains a carefree immortal, not a detached and detached being.

After sparring with the two girls all night, Helena and Katie experienced his strength firsthand. Their desire for him was no longer limited to the spiritual level; their bodies were also captivated by his prowess. They were so engrossed in him that they couldn't bear to part with him. So, after returning to New York yesterday, Li Xingzhou simply booked a luxury suite at this hotel to continue his good deeds.

After a night of revelry, his enthusiasm had waned, and he felt he had accomplished the first great deed of his life. So he dressed, washed up, left his room, went to the hotel front desk to extend his stay for another day, and made reservations for food and drinks for the two women who were still fast asleep. Then he left in a carefree manner.

After leaving the hotel and briefly sorting out his memories from before his awakening, Li Xingzhou took a taxi to a neighborhood in Queens and entered a nightclub through the back door.
