Chapter 6 The Sun of the Gods, Carrotel's Slaughter

Chapter 6 The Sun of the Gods, Carrot El's Slaughter
The sand was as silent as a blizzard.

The sky was as blue as the deep sea.

A single ray of light descended, hanging high in the sky, bringing its unique radiance, yet it fell upon only one person.

Although in Tony Stark's eyes, the man standing amidst a hail of bullets was incredibly foolish.

"boom!"

The next second, a gunshot echoed through the desert.

Enrique Elans pointed his gun at Carrot as he walked out and fired dismissively.

However, something shocking happened: the man who came out of the hut was completely unharmed.

Feeling relaxed and at ease, as if the shot had just been an illusion, Carrot raised his eyelids and glanced slightly at Enrique, who had fired the shot at him. His eyes narrowed involuntarily.

"Walter?"

"what happened??"

Enrique looked like he'd seen a ghost, and the rest of the group were also shocked. Putting aside whether the shot was accurate or not, they didn't even see a spark, let alone a ricochet.

Even Stark was stunned, ignoring his own injuries, his eyes fixed on Carrot.

"Five years have passed, and you still haven't learned manners."

Carrot El glanced at the crowd, scanning them with each word: "Daring to shoot at me cannot be called courageous; it can only be called ignorance and fearlessness."

"But that makes sense. Those who saw me in the red ribbon back then should all have been killed by now."

With a casual flick of the thumb and middle finger of a hand shaped like a delicate orchid, a bullet pierced Enrique's body with a bang.

"So it's normal that you don't recognize me."

"So."

"Since you can't learn manners, I'll teach you the consequences of being impolite."

Standing with his hands behind his back, the ground beneath his feet was as immovable as a mountain.

Carrot El didn't say much, nor did he need to talk to a dying man.

A red glow gradually appeared in his eyes.

From the depths of his eyes, scorching light burst forth, far more intense than the sun, a terrifying ray of 16,387.6 degrees Celsius that reduced everything of flesh and blood before him to ashes.

"Fire!!"

The moment Enrique was snapped to death, Boris's expression changed drastically as he gave the order to attack.

"Crackling sounds! Puffing sounds!! Rat-a-tat-tat! Rat-a-tat-tat!!"

In an instant, a vast network of firepower wove together in mid-air, creating a dazzling display of human civilization.

Facing the crimson, burning death light, it instantly stained the entire desert with the color of blood.

Carrot remained unmoved, bathed in a hail of bullets, as if standing calmly in a light spring rain.

He slowly turned his head, the crimson in his eyes melting away everything in sight.

“What is that???”

"monster!"

"Run!"

"Fire! No! Take cover!"

"Zizzi"

"Boom!!" Amidst the crisscrossing bullets, a rocket hurtled straight in from a distance. Carrot El frowned slightly and reached out to catch it.

This was no different from a drizzle to him, but he couldn't let such a nice house behind him be blown up.

This house is indeed bulletproof, but it's not protected against rocket launchers!
Carrot El twisted his wrist and gently pushed the rocket back the way it came.

"Boom!"

Under the scorching sun, a dazzling explosion resounded deafeningly deep in the desert. In a mere instant, not even a charred remains of the hundred or so people were left.

It was as if they had never existed on this land; there was only a huge bomb crater and countless bullets buried in this eerie, uninhabited territory.

In those brief few seconds, when Stark crawled out of the ruins of the war, all he saw was patch after patch of dark earth and burning craters from the explosions.

Flames soared into the sky, illuminating the daytime, and the dust of death covered the earth.

The man stood like a god, gazing down upon him from within the radiance.
"You, who are you?"

Staring at what was happening before him, Tony Stark realized it wasn't a sudden hallucination. When he looked at those pale blue eyes again, he no longer had the courage to look them in the eye.

With a thud, he collapsed to the ground, supporting himself with his hands, his courage to even stand up vanishing in an instant.

At that moment, even if he said he was a demon from hell or an angel sent by God to guide him, Stark felt he would believe him.

"Carrotelle".

A soft voice seemed to transcend the distance of time and space, extending along the sun deep in the desert to the cloudless sky.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier
In Nick Fury's office, Natasha Romanoff listened intently as Hill recounted the intelligence regarding the mission objectives:
"Carrot El".

"Also known as Clark Sun, born on November 11, 1991, in a small town in Smallville, Kansas, to a farming family."

"He was adopted by Jonathan Kent's adoptive father, an elderly man surnamed Sun from the East, and was later named Clark by the Kent couple."

"Until he was six years old, the elderly man surnamed Sun passed away due to illness, and Clark Sun was then cared for by the Kent couple."

"After the age of 13, he went to study at the Metropolitan University, changed his name to Carrot Ayr, and at 16 he was hailed as a child prodigy, earning three doctoral degrees in bioenergetics, mechanics, and philosophy. He is currently the CEO of Capsule Corporation."

Natasha sat on the table, legs crossed, seemingly relaxed and at ease, but her mind was already racing with countless intelligence analyses. She crossed her arms and said:
"Inspirational stories".

"An abandoned orphan, the son of a farmer from a small city with no background, rose to the position of CEO of a world-class company in a big city. He started from scratch, a super genius, and earned three doctoral degrees at the age of 16."

"If I put it in a weekly magazine, it would definitely become an idol for young working people."

Why did he change his name?

Looking down at the city below the clouds from the floor-to-ceiling window, Nick Fury, with his back to the viewer, had a very serious expression on his face.

The room's mute mode was activated, and the black insulating material slowly descended until the entire room was completely sealed off from external signals and sounds.

Inside the room, there was no light source left. In the complete darkness, a projection slowly lit up on the table.

Natasha frowned. To her recollection, she had almost never seen Nick Fury use this level of protection to announce a mission to her.

Just how serious is this incident?

“Those were all files for external use.”

"Take a look at these."

"A change that will shape the world's destiny is about to begin."

In the pitch-black, clad room, Nick Fury, dressed in black, almost blended into the darkness, staring at the sole source of light, which reflected the images of two old men.
