Chapter 31: Finally Reaching the North Pole, Natasha Appears

Chapter 31: Finally Reaching the North Pole, Natasha Appears
Serizawa's eyes were fixed on the deep sea, or more precisely, on the giant beast within it.

He seemed never to have imagined that the King of Monsters, whom he had sworn to follow for life, would have such a moment of weakness.

"If only you could tell me the answer."

With a thoughtful expression, Serizawa slowly shook his head, having already made a definite guess in his heart.

This was definitely not done by the Titans!

The signs of battle on the scene, Godzilla's current unconscious state, and the fact that he acted swiftly yet fled in secrecy, all contradicted the rules of competition between giant beasts.

It's more like an intelligent life form!
Could it be the work of the giants that revived in the island nation some time ago?

It possesses the power to kill monsters, the ability to disappear instantly, and a very fast flight speed!
These conditions are met.

Thinking about this, Serizawa immediately felt it was very likely and quickly sent a call request to the Victory team!

-

arctic glacier
The howling wind stole away the warmth of time's passage.

The extreme cold buried the last pure land on earth.

In the distant Arctic, across the vast Arctic Ocean, lies a pure white continent. It stands majestically at 90 degrees north latitude.

The glacier often lingers for weeks on end, with long days and glaciers dominating the area.

"Help!"

"Help!"

Is anyone there?

Gazing into the distance, a vast expanse of white reflected the sunlight. Tony Stark shielded his eyes; walking in the snow for too long could lead to snow blindness.

Suddenly, a girl's desperate cries for help came from below the blue ice rock.

"Did I hear wrongly?"

Tony Stark's expression tightened, and he instinctively looked around: "Does it sound like someone is calling for help?"

Carrot El glanced down, a hint of something unreadable flashing across his face:

"Inside the crevasse beneath our feet."

Tony Stark asked hesitantly, knowing he wasn't in a position to make that decision:

So, should we save them or not?

Carrot El paused for a moment, then relaxed his brow and asked a question:
"What would you do if you saved someone, but they turned around and harmed you?"

Tony Stark stared blankly for a long time, blinking incredulously:

"Seriously? With your status and position, you really need to worry about this?"

Carrot El crossed his arms and looked at Stark curiously: "I just want to hear your answer."

Upon hearing this, Tony Stark blurted out without hesitation:
"There's nothing to say about it. It's a two-way street. I saved you, that's a sacrifice, but if I were betrayed, even betrayed with my life, I would kill him at all costs!"

"But I don't regret the feelings I've given, nor am I afraid to give my feelings again; that would be too sentimental."

Upon hearing this, Carrot El looked Stark up and down, and then gave a slight smile:
“That’s a great answer. Let’s see what other people ultimately choose.”

Tony Stark frowned in confusion: "Seriously? What kind of trick are you up to now?"

"Help! Help! Is anyone there?! I'm trapped!"

Down the mountain, the frost and snow have melted away from the ice and rocks, revealing crystal-clear blue ice, a sight both beautiful and mesmerizing. But this is precisely where the danger lies, because the thin layer of glacier frozen beneath your feet may be hollow underneath; a single misstep or a fall into the mountain snow could mean certain death.
Moreover, the process is extremely painful.

The two walked down the mountain and saw a woman in a red snowsuit lying sideways in a crack in the ice.

Her wine-red hair stood out starkly against the snow, her helpless and desperate eyes were pitiful, and her face bore traces of tears and excitement at seeing the newcomer.
"Help! Help me! Please! I've fallen and am stuck. I can't move!"

Carrot El stood at the edge of the crevasse, glanced at it, threw down a rope, and pulled her out.

The moment the girl came up, Stark's eyes lit up. Keep in mind, he had been tortured for over three months and had never seen a woman before.
"Wow, this is truly a rare beauty."

Carrot El tried to distance himself from him, but almost couldn't avoid the woman's desperate embrace.

"Thank you, thank you so much, I almost thought I was going to die."

Natasha stumbled and nearly fell, so she could only put her hands on Carrot's arms.

But his palms were unconsciously exploring his muscles, probing them with slight force. His trembling voice sounded like someone who was truly about to be trapped and die in the snow-capped mountains, his eyes filled with fear, grievance, lingering fear, and the joy of escaping a desperate situation.

"My name is Natasha, what's yours?"

Carrot El carefully examined Natasha's face, or rather, sensed her aura, or rather, her life essence.
It is indeed quite special, complex yet pure.

"El, Carrotel."

His gaze pierced through the empty space below her abdomen, then swept over the scars all over her body.

Natasha Romanov was touched, and her inner judgment also marked the goal before her with a checkmark.

In this day and age, someone who still saves people can't be some heinous monster.

Her eyes were clear and pure, and she didn't even try to take advantage of him.

To be honest, Natasha had a pretty good first impression of him.

It has been three days since she left Capsule Corporation to pass the intelligence to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury took Natasha's information very seriously, and he immediately mobilized NASA's reconnaissance satellites to conduct a focused search in the Arctic region.

Sure enough, near the Arctic Ocean, in an unmanaged area deep within the ruins of the former Russian kingdom, an anomaly was discovered in the ice layer.

A 300-meter-long black shadow appeared 700 meters below.
The area is currently under the control of a military base, but moving that base away, or even taking over it, would not be difficult for S.H.I.E.L.D.

They quickly located the site and discovered that the ice layer beneath the building was approximately 25000 years old.

This intelligence was immediately classified as top secret by Nick Fury.

His intuition told him that Carrot El would come here, so from the moment S.H.I.E.L.D. set foot on the glacier, the satellites never stopped scanning.

Clearly, he came, and even brought a surprise.

Tony Stark.

Nick Fury was completely baffled; he couldn't fathom how these two had gotten together.

However, this did not seem to hinder his plan; in fact, with Stark's presence, Al was easier to track down.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to spot Carrot.

Just in case, Natasha Romanov once again went into disguise.

For an explorer trapped deep in a glacier awaiting rescue, the best option is to temporarily join someone else's team.
