Chapter 2 Carrotelle!
Chapter 2 Carrot El!
"At 9 p.m. on August 1, an unprecedented explosion occurred at Wayne Tower in downtown Gotham City, paralyzing the city's transportation hub."
"The Dark Knight, known as Batman, has gained widespread public recognition. In his revelation, Commissioner Gordon claimed that he provided the molecular formula for the chemical agent, but his identity is currently unknown."
"On August 2nd, the Victory Team of the Special Investigations Group, located at the Earth Peace Alliance TPC headquarters on the eastern island of the Pacific, intercepted an unidentified meteorite this morning."
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out behind Tony Stark:
“Your body is recovering faster than I expected, Mr. Stark.”
Stark turned around and looked at him. Gazing at him were a pair of pale blue eyes, deep and clear.
Upon closer inspection, a figure in a pure white casual outfit sits on a black solid wood chair, slowly pouring a glass of sherry.
He was a man of mixed race, who looked to be about the age of a high school graduate.
His dark hair gave him an indescribable cleanliness, and his angular features outlined the contours of his yellow skin.
Slightly protruding brow bones, deep-set eyes, distinct lip peaks, and a high nose bridge are all very obvious characteristics of mixed Chinese and Western ancestry.
The man had neatly combed hair and leaned back comfortably in his chair. His slightly rolled-up sleeves revealed the muscles on his arms, which were strangely well-proportioned.
Generally speaking, such a high density of muscles cannot possibly be the same size and shape as a normal person's arm.
Opposite him, a luxurious table was laden with a dazzling array of dishes, steaming hot and fragrant.
Whole turkey, Australian lobster, hamburgers, fried rice, stir-fries, foie gras, steak, grilled meat
The dishes are mainly Chinese cuisine, accompanied by snacks from all over the world, and are spread out on a table that is ten meters long and three meters wide.
It's hard to imagine that these luxurious meals, enough for forty people, were eaten by only one person.
"I thought you would wake up at night, since the previous dosage was set to the lowest power."
After saying that, Carrot El calmly cut off a piece of steak, put it in his mouth, and glanced at him without any emotion.
With just one glance, he saw through everything about him, even the hundreds of shrapnel fragments stuck in his body.
"Who are you??"
Tony Stark sized up his youthful appearance, but his vigilance remained unwavering.
“My name is Carrot Ayr, and I’m from Kansas.”
Slowly setting down his glass, Carrot El turned around expressionlessly, his clear eyes gazing at Stark, who was almost, and could be described as, utterly disheveled.
He thought that the little boy who fell to his death on a Kansas farm ten years ago was just like Stark now when he was in school.
He carefully observed everything, warily and cautiously gazing up at every creature that appeared before him.
At that time, he was still very weak. Standing on the haystack on the farm, looking up at the starry sky, he slowly stretched out his hand, feeling that he was very, very far away from that Milky Way.
Once upon a time, those stars were so dazzling, just like when he listened to his teacher talk about Howard Stark, the greatest scientist of the last century, and his playboy son.
The heavens and earth, the stars and the sea, which we once could only look up to and be wary of, are now within our grasp and can be destroyed with a flick of the wrist.
The figures who once appeared in American elementary school textbooks and had to be memorized may never even be touched by the hem of one's clothes in a lifetime.
"Who are you?"
"Where is this?"
Why am I here?
"And can I have a bite of that delicious-looking burger?" Tony Stark, noticing the man staring at him for a long time and sensing no obvious malice, swallowed impatiently and made a move to run to the table.
Tony Stark glanced at Carrot out of the corner of his eye and saw that Carrot made no attempt to stop him.
He grabbed the hamburger instantly, wolfed it down, and chewed it greedily.
"Oh my God, this is absolutely delicious! It's even better than the one in the Stark Tower neighborhood!"
The taste of the food tantalized every nerve on his taste buds. Stark closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of peace and relaxation as he sat on the ground.
He was now a starving ghost wandering in the desert, and finally, on the verge of starvation, he had a feast!
This kind of pleasure is unimaginable for those who have never experienced hunger.
Sitting across the table, Carrot Elle's movements appeared remarkably elegant, a stark contrast to the world's richest man who hadn't had a proper meal in months.
He leisurely enjoyed the meal; the lunch, enough for thirty people, was barely enough to fill him up to about seven-tenths full.
He could understand the feeling of hunger, and he also knew the feeling of being on the verge of starvation.
If it weren't for the sunlight providing him with energy, he would have already eaten his way out of that poor little farmhouse and starved to death.
Seeing Stark's desperate attempt to swallow, Carrot Al, fearing he might choke, picked up his glass, poured Tony a drink, and calmly said:
"You can call me Al. As for my identity, it was already shown on TV."
"But now you also have the identity of your savior."
Tony Stark gulped down a glass of water and finally came back to life:
"Thank you, I'll remember that. Just for this hamburger, no matter who you are, I'll consider it a debt."
"Wait a minute, you're a CEO at such a young age? Shouldn't you be in college?"
"The Universal Capsule Company? What's that? Is it a newly established company?"
Carrot El picked up a roast chicken, stuffed it into his mouth in a few quick bites, then continued stuffing steak into his mouth, took a sip of wine to moisten his throat, and then wiped his hands:
"I received my third doctoral degree two years ago."
A hamburger was quickly devoured. With no seats available, Tony Stark could only sit casually on the floor. But at that moment, as long as he had food and drink, nothing else mattered.
"You're a very young PhD, that's quite remarkable."
"Of course, it's still far from being as good as the great Stark."
Clearly, Stark was overjoyed to have finally escaped; this ecstatic joy of seeing the light of day even overshadowed the grief of his friend's death.
"By the way, you just mentioned minimum power?"
"Do you mean that fish tank-like machine? What's its working principle? Is it related to the chemical reactions produced in the drug manufacturing process?"
"I'm willing to pay $3 million for the formula!"
Carrot El smiled calmly, "I don't need your $3 million, and strictly speaking, Mr. Stark, you're a dead man now."
“Aside from buying yourself a burial plot and holding a funeral, you no longer have the right to access the Stark family’s assets.”
