When did Buddhism ever have such filthy and unsavory ideas? Even if Buddha were here today, seeing you monks threatening people with these words, he probably wouldn't let you off the hook.

Master Qingfa slapped the donation box, ignoring the group of bald men from Fazhong Temple.

It's okay to use Buddha to scare others.

Did you think you could scare the high-ranking Taoist priests of Maoshan?

Master Qingfa said: "Our Taoist sect is not to be trifled with. You may try to bring back the Buddha, but we have the Three Pure Ones behind us. Who's afraid of who?"
First, Buddha should get past the Three Pure Ones.

Under the watchful eyes of a group of monks from Fazhong Temple, Abbot Qingfa smashed one of the donation boxes with a single slap.

The smashed donation box contained countless riches.

Most of them were hundred-yuan bills.

The donation box was stuffed full of red banknotes.

The monks of Fazhong Temple haven't had time to collect it yet.

Seeing so much money on display, the task force members at the scene couldn't help but marvel.

No wonder Buddhist temples are so wealthy.

There must be at least tens of thousands in one donation box.

This is estimated to be only the income for one day or even half a day.

How can we be broke?

The task force first helped the monks of Fazhong Temple collect the donation money and put it aside.

Master Qingfa then examined the inner wall of the donation box.

On the inner wall of the donation box, Buddhist scriptures were copied in red ink.

These scriptures were copied densely onto the inner walls of the donation box, covering all four walls. The task force members asked Master Qingfa what was written on it.

He said, "This is a copy of the Surangama Sutra, a Buddhist classic copied using a special secret method. It has the effect of absorbing people's desires and extending their lifespan."

Buddhist temples throughout the world are divided into two types: scripture temples and Dharma temples.

The monks in the temple are mostly ordinary monks who mainly chant scriptures, cultivate their minds, and accumulate merit.

Both paths can lead to Buddhahood, demonstrating that among the three thousand great paths, all lead to the same destination.

So although it was shocking that Fazhong Temple was actually involved in the life-extending ritual, there were so many people here, and the people of Maoshan weren't stupid, so it couldn't be kept secret.

The two masters of Qingyuan Temple could only tell the truth.

The copy in this donation box is a reverse copy of the Surangama Sutra.

The Surangama Sutra is one of the important Buddhist scriptures.

The main content tells the story of how Venerable Ananda was bewitched by the sorcery of the woman Matangi, which led him astray into a brothel and almost broke the precept against sexual misconduct.

Upon learning of this, the Buddha immediately dispatched Manjushri Bodhisattva to recite mantras to Matangi's house to rescue Ananda and bring Matangi and Ananda back to the Buddha's side.

The Buddha then gave them teachings, which led to the creation of the famous Surangama Sutra.

The content of the Surangama Sutra is extremely rich, including: three times breaking through consciousness, seven places of inquiry into the mind, pointing out the two fundamentals, ten times revealing vision, eight times returning to discern vision, dissecting falsehood to reveal truth, unifying the four categories, fully manifesting the seven elements, examining and eliminating subtle delusions, untying knots from the root, the twenty-five chapters of perfect understanding, the four kinds of purity and obscurity, the Surangama mantra, the twelve categories of beings, the stages of cultivation and realization, the seven realms, and the fifty demonic states, etc.

Originally, it was a scripture that encouraged people to do good and to expound the Dharma.

However, the temple copied the scriptures and used special methods to absorb people's desires and borrow their lifespan and spiritual essence.

Master Qingfa said, "There should be another secret chamber beneath this Mahavira Hall. The effects of the Surangama Sutra alone are not enough. The real longevity-extending ritual is in another place."

Master Qingfa continued his search.

Soon, they found the entrance to the underground chamber in a secluded spot behind the main hall.

Upon entering, one indeed found the longevity altar set up by the real monk and Ku Rong.

The location is right below the three donation boxes in the main hall.

All worshippers who come to Fazhong Temple to burn incense should put their money into the donation box after praying to Buddha.

The copy of the Surangama Sutra in the donation box will be activated by the altar, absorbing the desires and lifespan of the worshippers.

Then, through the altar, lifespan is transferred to the withering and flourishing.

As for the desires of the worshippers, they will also be transferred to the cycle of prosperity and decline.

The drawback of this method of borrowing lifespan is that if too much of the pilgrim's lifespan is absorbed, the desire to absorb more will also increase.

The desires of a person whose lifespan has been taken away will become increasingly greater.

This is why Kurong is so obsessed with becoming a Buddha and a golden-bodied Arhat.

This also sowed the seeds of his downfall by being bewitched by the ghost Buddha Zhuoyangzi.

Moreover, it absorbs so much lifespan and desire.

These desires also corrupt one's mindset, which is characterized by both prosperity and decline.

So back then at Fenglei Mountain, Guifo Zhuoyangzi only needed a few words to shatter Kurong's mental state, causing him to break through his defenses and go into a demonic state.

The withering and flourishing cultivation method, seemingly having reached the tenth level of the withering and flourishing divine skill, has in fact entered the demonic path.

Now that the secret room has been found, the copied Surangama Sutra from the donation box is clearly displayed here.

The monks at Fazhong Temple were speechless; the evidence was irrefutable.

They were speechless for a moment.
