Chapter 177 The Problematic Zombie Head
It's not time to be happy yet.

Although the crisis was over, a blizzard arrived, and the strong, cold winds made it difficult for them to stand up straight.

If Song Jinhe hadn't grabbed the lamppost, that blow would have sent her flying several meters.

Although Yi Feng possessed wind-type talents, he couldn't control such a fierce wind and could only manage a small area to assist everyone in their retreat.

Halfway there, Song Jinhe suddenly sensed something was wrong with the zombie corpse.

She stopped, grabbed Zhang Yi, and gestured for Zhang Yi to come back with her.

That zombie is definitely dead; the warmth on her wrist makes no mistake.

But there really was something wrong with that body.

She couldn't do this by herself and needed Zhang Yi's help.

The wind-blown snow and howling cold air completely obscured their vision. The two of them walked back against the wind, which would have been quite discreet.

But there were wind-type talents here. When Yi Feng realized that someone was missing, he turned around and saw the two of them walking in the opposite direction.

"Hey—we're going the wrong way!"

Yi Feng pushed the wind aside, and Song Jinhe and the other girl not only didn't turn back, but also squatted down next to the zombie corpse.

Zhang Yi raised the axe and chopped several times before finally cutting off its head.

This zombie's head was twice the size of an ordinary person's, and it was quite frightening for Zhang Yi to hold it in her hand.

"What are you doing? You went back halfway just to chop off a zombie's head? Are you going to take it back as a display piece?"

Yi Feng didn't understand, but he was greatly shocked.

Song Jinhe didn't answer. She returned to the base with the zombie's head, and it took five or six people to close the door together.

The survivors were taken away by the investigation team and were no longer under their jurisdiction.

But the head is still in the duty room.

It was obvious that Song Jinhe had discovered something, and since Su Lan had put in the effort to fight the zombies, it was impossible for her not to inquire about it.

The others were also in the duty room.

"This little thing is really something special," Qi Sixing said, resting his chin on his hand and clicking his tongue in amazement. "Is there anything wrong with this thing?" Su Lan asked, taking off her goggles and mask.

Song Jinhe: "I don't know yet, I'll have to open it and see."

Since it's already out of the question, there's no point in trying to cover it up anymore; the other party isn't stupid.

She didn't want to have too much contact with this team, and she didn't want to make enemies at the base.

If she wasn't mistaken, and there really was a problem, it would eventually end up in Jiang Shi'an's hands first.

They still have the firsthand information.

"Open it? You mean you want to open its head?" Yi Feng pointed to the frozen head on the table.

Song Jinhe retorted, "Then whose head should we open?"

The duty room clearly didn't have the necessary facilities; the head was too frozen hard to break unless it was violently smashed.

Doing so is both easy and damaging to the brain.

She has already contacted Jiang Shi'an via communicator, and she can go to the lab once the storm has passed.

“We killed this thing together, and my men helped when you brought it back. It’s not too much to ask me to come along and hear any information, is it?” Su Lan said at this moment.

"Of course." Song Jinhe lowered her eyes, her smile forced.

"But, sending so many people to the lab at once will attract attention. How about you and Yi Feng go, and the rest of you stay and guard the line?"

"Okay." Su Lan didn't object. He glanced at the howling cold wind outside the window and suddenly asked,

"You seem to be less wary of Yi Feng than you are of the rest of us?"

Song Jinhe remained unfazed. "Is it strange? He's just clueless."

After all, she was the person she risked her life to save, someone from her memories.
She saved Yi Feng after observing him and concluded that he was stubborn and not very cunning, so even if he was exposed, he probably wouldn't betray her.

This is indeed the case.

Even after being tortured to death, Yi Feng never revealed who helped him escape.
