Chapter 117 Rescue 1
How could they do this?! We're all in the same convoy, we met in the shelter, and they're not even planning to take us out?
"You can leave on your own." Song Jinhe didn't stop walking. It was good enough that she was able to release them; she didn't have the time to go and rescue anyone else.

The people in the room stared blankly at the unlocked door, their expressions complex. They knew very well what would happen to those who had escaped and were caught; those scenes were still vivid in their minds.

They were genuinely scared and didn't know whether to take a gamble.

The first few people who were arrested were the first to act. Once someone takes the lead in running away, others will inevitably follow suit, and of course, there will also be those who inform on others.

"Two men and a very dark-skinned, thin woman just came in. They opened the door. Oh, right! Those people who came yesterday seem to know them!"

"Are you sure they know each other?" Zhuang Yu's tone was filled with dangerous murderous intent.

“Yes, yes, I heard them talking with my own ears!” the raggedly dressed man said solicitously.

"No wonder." The burly man narrowed his eyes. "So it was that group. It seems there's been a problem with Guan Li. What did they say?"

"No, those three people said they were just rescuing someone on the side," the man replied respectfully.

The burly man thought for a moment, "Where did they go?"

"left."

“You can go out and join the search. If we catch them this time, you’ll officially join the shelter.” The burly man glanced at him.

Song Jinhe noticed a pair of eyes secretly watching them from the shadows. The person's hiding was not very clever; anyone could see them without any special talent.

She gave her teammates a look, and the three of them immediately changed course, surrounded the man who had been secretly following them, and dragged him out. "No, don't kill me!" The man looked at the knife pressed against his neck, his face pleading and his body trembling. "I...I just want to leave here with you. No one has ever been able to break in before."

“You are free to move around here.” Zhuang Ting looked at him suspiciously. “What’s your name?”

The man was hunched over, dressed in dirty and tattered clothes, and looked panicked. His sudden appearance made people suspicious of his true purpose.

“Sun Fu, I’m doing menial cleaning here. To survive, I have no choice but to work like a slave and fawn over them.” Sun Fu burst into tears as he spoke. “I have no other choice. If I didn’t do this, I would have died long ago! Believe me! I really didn’t mean any harm.”

"Don't follow us anymore, or we'll kill you," Song Jinhe whispered.

The slightly cold tone and nonchalant gaze startled Sun Fu.

After several seconds, he said with a look of grim determination, "What are you looking for? I can help you! Just take me out of here, I don't want to stay here anymore!"

"How did you know we were looking for something?" Song Jinhe asked, her finger behind her back on the trigger.

“You opened a lot of doors just now, so I guess you were looking for something.” Sun Fu wiped away his tears and looked at them earnestly. “If I were on their side, I would have called for help earlier.”

Song Jinhe remained expressionless, seemingly still considering the matter, "Someone over there is sick and needs a call. I heard you have a doctor in your shelter."

Sun Fu quickly replied, "Yes, there is one! I know where he's being held! I can take you there!"

Song Jinhe nodded, "Okay, as long as you can help us find a doctor, we'll take you with us."

The reason she agreed so readily was, of course, because she didn't trust this person at all, but she couldn't see anything wrong with him either, and she also needed to find Cheng Yan as soon as possible.
