Cyber Ghost Record

Chapter 50 Remarks on the launch

Chapter 50 Remarks on the launch
Cyber Ghost Chronicles will be available on November 1st.

Thanks to my editors Beihe and Bacon, who didn't give up on me despite the lack of updates. I originally thought that with this amount of updates, Sanjiang had no hope, but I didn't expect it to still be included.

Thank you to the WeChat official account and book list creator who recommended "The Record of One Hundred Ghosts," and to all the readers who voted and commented.

Since its release, the book has received a lot of support from readers, but the update frequency has not been enough to satisfy everyone, which is really embarrassing. So I haven't been too embarrassed to ask for more reading or votes.

When I was conceiving this book, I created a rather large world view, a complex background story, and a complete setting. I originally thought that writing it would be easy, but after starting the serialization, I found that the writing speed was worrying.

The reason is that in this future world, some seemingly insignificant details can sometimes consume a lot of the author's energy.

Sometimes, when writing about an industry, what needs to be conceived is not only the industry itself appearing in the current plot, but also its legitimacy in future society, and the underlying industrial and profit chains. Sometimes, when writing about a cultural image, I can't help but learn about its history and the evolution of its image, and then combine it with cyberpunk aesthetics to reconstruct its expression in the novel.

These tasks are necessary, but the lengthy and obscure parts behind them will not be written into the novel, just as Hemingway's iceberg principle states: things irrelevant to the novel should be omitted.

But time and energy can't be saved, and with the addition of brainstorming the plot, my brain just can't keep up.

There are some plot points that could be handled better, but if I were to fully develop them, I probably wouldn't be able to continue the serialization.

Of course, all this is not to make excuses for the author's delays in updating.

I guarantee at least two chapters tomorrow when it goes live (I don't dare overestimate my abilities or make too many promises).
