top student at medical school

Chapter 583 is equivalent to being reborn!

Chapter 583 is like being reborn!
Schools must be tolerant of students; otherwise, the world's scientific research results change rapidly, and most teams will not be able to withstand such a surge.

February only has 28 days, and before you know it, it's March again.

Friday, January 3th.

Winter's chill brings utter silence, while spring's warmth brings revival.

When Fang Ziye opened his eyes, he found that Luo Tingzhu had already gotten up and gone for a run.

On the table was a stack of materials that Luo Tingzhu had submitted to enter the sanatorium laboratory. After Fang Ziye got up, he saw that it was only 7:20, so he didn't rush to wash up. Instead, he helped Luo Tingzhu review the materials.

"Senior brother, you've gotten lazy." Luo Tingzhu, dressed in sportswear, walked in from outside and changed into slippers at the door.

"The main reason is that the sanatorium doesn't officially start work until nine o'clock. I usually get up at seven-thirty, and I still have time to go for a run."

"The working hours here are much more humane than at Zhongnan Hospital!" Fang Ziye reorganized and categorized the materials, then looked up and said, "Tingzhu, there are two typos in your document, and you even filled in your ID number incorrectly!"

"I've already circled them for you. Just make the changes and reprint them."

Luo Tingzhu jogged over: "Really?"

"Oh, it's an input method error!" Luo Tingzhu then quickly ran back to her room to get her computer.

It wasn't that Fang Ziye was unwilling to revise it for her, but rather that Luo Tingzhu knew better where the documents were stored on her computer.

The computer was directly connected to the printer. After Luo Tingzhu reprinted the document, she clipped it back together.

"Senior, we don't start work until nine, right? Then I'll go over at eight-fifty to submit the materials, and then contact the company to have them send the equipment over as soon as possible." Luo Tingzhu checked the order of the documents one last time.

"You can rest for a while first," Fang Ziye said.

Luo Tingzhu shook her head: "I'm just here to build up my postdoctoral research experience. I need to get to work as soon as possible, otherwise I'll be so bored when you go to work, senior brother."

"I heard before that there's an anesthesiologist in the animal area of the lab who's quite good at research. I wonder if I'll have a chance to visit him today?" Luo Tingzhu said with some longing.

"Who is it? Send me the name and I'll ask around for you." Fang Ziye held up his toothbrush, the toothpaste on it oozing out.

"I don't know if it's convenient for Professor Du yet, so please don't call him. If I need your introduction, I will let you know."

"Can we go to the cafeteria across the street for breakfast later?" Luo Tingzhu asked.

“You’d better head to the experimental area. The cafeteria there is similar to this one. It’s not appropriate for me to keep bringing people into the clinical area,” Fang Ziye explained.

Although no one would say anything even if he brought his wife to the sanatorium every day, it was too unconventional. Fang Ziye didn't want people to gather around him every day just because he brought his wife to the sanatorium.

"Okay then!" Luo Tingzhu was a little disappointed, but she wanted to take a shower more. The bathroom here was much nicer than the one in her house.

Who can resist the comfort of a strong water shower?

……

Fang Ziye and Luo Tingzhu went out together, and then went in different directions at the door.

Fang Ziye has already assigned his research assistant to Luo Tingzhu. With her guidance, Luo Tingzhu's matters will be handled more quickly.

However, after Fang Ziye entered the cafeteria, he discovered two people who shouldn't have been in the clinical area cafeteria.

Nie Mingxian and Wu Xuanqi.

Wu Xuanqi, holding up his chopsticks, greeted with a smile, "Professor Fang, this way..."

Upon seeing this, Fang Ziye immediately recalled what Professor Fang Zhikuan had said the previous night: after the Gong family and the professor left, the sanatorium had finally found a suitable 'expert'!

"I'll go get something first." Fang Ziye picked up the plate, his eyelids blinking rapidly.

Wu Xuanqi did not interrupt or say anything more.

When Fang Ziye approached the two again, he overheard Nie Mingxian's conversation: "Is it really okay for you to stand up the Han City Sanatorium like this?"

Aren't you afraid they'll come after you?

"There must be some competition between sanatoriums, right?" Nie Mingxian asked.

"It did take some effort, but I'm not their puppet!"

"My teacher is really helpful."

"Team Leader Fang, please give me your guidance." Wu Xuanqi bowed slightly when he saw Fang Ziye arrive.

Upon hearing this, Fang Ziye opened and closed his mouth twice: "Brother Qi, you're not joking with me, are you?"

"I'm already in the group, why are you still joking?"

"Team Leader Fang doesn't think I'm not qualified, does he?"

"That's alright, I also have a one-month probationary period. Professor Fang can just give me a fair evaluation," Wu Xuanqi joked.

"Mingxian, can you put in a good word for me? I'll give you a back rub tonight." Wu Xuanqi's style was much more eccentric than Nie Mingxian's.

When Wu Xuanqi arrived, Nie Mingxian was practically a 'gentleman'!
"Get lost!" Nie Mingxian said irritably.

"Then you can rub it for me? That's not impossible." Wu Xuanqi's thick skin and eloquence were hard for most people to resist, even though Nie Mingxian and Fang Ziye were both men.

Wu Xuanqi is a promising talent for navigating the underworld. He has skills, eloquence, and shamelessness. In this circle, his network of connections is definitely wider than Fang Ziye's.

Moreover, he seems to have no dietary restrictions...

Wu Xuanqi didn't try to be clever any further. He simply explained to Fang Ziye that he was going to be assigned to the clinical orthopedics group at the sanatorium, using it as a stepping stone to his promotion to senior professional.

Yes, Wu Xuanqi will soon be a chief physician.

Wu Xuanqi, a 27-year-old attending physician, a 31-year-old associate professor, is now 35. He has been working for more than four years from associate professor to full professor, and is less than a year away from being eligible to apply for the title of chief physician.

Nie Mingxian left right after finishing his meal. Wu Xuanqi came to Enshi without giving him any advance notice; he arrived last night.

This morning, the two of them had a simple breakfast together, which they considered their friend's "hospitality."

It was still early, and the two finished eating at 8:31.

As Fang Ziye and Wu Xuanqi took a walk to digest their food, Fang Ziye asked, "Brother Qi, did Professor Duan really agree to send you here to be sent down to the countryside?"

Tongji Hospital has a much deeper history than Zhongnan Hospital.

Even if Wu Xuanqi didn't come to the sanatorium, Professor Duan Hong's accumulated funding would be more than enough for Wu Xuanqi to build, not to mention the talent pool within Professor Duan Hong's team—

Even if Deng Yong's team were to join Fang Ziye, they would only have a slight edge at best.

Putting aside Fang Ziye, the difference is enormous!
"This is called gilding, how can it be called being sent down to the countryside?"

"I actually wanted to come here two years ago, but the sanatorium was newly built at that time, and Dr. Chen was not confident in my personal abilities, so I went back to Wuhan to gain more experience..."

"The situation is quite good now. Professor Fang, you have laid the groundwork well in the early stages, and I am here to reap the rewards."

“If Professor Fang leaves, can’t I still compete for the group leader position?” Wu Xuanqi’s main selling point was shamelessness and emotional appeal.

Fang Ziye: "..."

"Professor Fang, I wonder if I have any opportunity to know the current clinical direction of our trauma surgery? I'd like to get involved in the team as soon as possible," Wu Xuanqi asked, abandoning his usual sullen tone.

Wu Xuanqi didn't even ask Fang Ziye whether he would separate clinical research from basic research, because in his view, it was inevitable.

“Our trauma surgery team here plans to focus on bone defects,” Fang Ziye said hesitantly.

If Fang Ziye hadn't specifically focused on bone defects, he wouldn't have known that the original Wu Xuanqi had already achieved considerable expertise in this area.

Therefore, to a certain extent, Fang Ziye's progress in this direction is like wielding a hoe on the fertile ground already occupied by Wu Xuanqi and Tongji Hospital.

Wu Xuanqi's mouth opened slightly, and after opening and closing a few times, his face twitched and twitched seven or eight times before he laughed: "That's perfect, Team Leader Fang. I have quite a bit of experience in this area."

Fang Ziye decided to explain: "Actually, this direction was decided after I came to the sanatorium, based on the types of diseases treated here. That was in mid-January."

Fang Ziye emphasized time.

The time when Wu Xuanqi's and his mentor Yuan Weihong's projects clashed was in early February, before the Lunar New Year. Perhaps Wu Xuanqi will plan this matter much earlier.

Wu Xuanqi himself admitted that he would not easily give up the position of "academic leader", so there was a certain degree of deliberate intent in his conflict with Yuan Weihong's research topic.

"It's alright, Professor Fang. Applying for a research topic isn't like I'm doing a freelance project. Once I'm in, it's mine, and nobody can interfere."

"Isn't this fate? It's a perfect opportunity for us to continue to develop and expand in this direction."

"I wonder if Professor Fang has any other areas of expertise besides the simple topic of bone defects?"

Bone defects is a broad area, and within that area, there are many sub-projects.

There are parallel and embedded research directions that can be pursued.

Fang Ziye nodded upon hearing this: "I have some ideas. I hope to integrate nanotechnology with the more advanced materials currently available, such as CC materials, to see if we can use osteoinductive materials as a coating to treat bone defects and regenerate replacements."

Excellent people don't need to waste time with unnecessary words when communicating!

Wu Xuanqi quickly learned about Fang Ziye's 'hybrid' project, which was actually a fusion of current orthopedic biomaterials and induction materials, combined with the treatment of bone defects.

A treatment option that uses bone regeneration to replace the current method of using prostheses to fill bone defects.

"For small bone defects, the basic principle of this treatment model is feasible. However, for complete bone defects, it would be very difficult to implement even in theory!"

"Currently, the application of osteoinductive materials is based on the original bone ends, allowing bone cells to crawl and multiply on the inductive material, and finally reshape on the basis of the material."

"If there is no original bone end?" Wu Xuanqi frowned.

This is quite difficult to do.

"Yes, there are many difficulties to overcome, but fortunately, bone healing has been clinically proven to be primary healing, and it is one of the few diseases that can heal completely."

"Based on these characteristics of bone cells, we can gradually explore these directions."

"This is what I think: if we can embed autologous bone grafts into the material prosthesis segment and provide blood supply, they have a chance to be reimplanted and survive inside the prosthesis."

"This way, even with large bone defects, we still have the original bone embryo. If all else fails, we can extract bone marrow blood to create bone marrow stem cell matrix..."

"But these two types need to be transferred to the basic laboratory for preliminary research first."

"But that's understandable. We can make bone-shaped culture dishes to see if bone cells have the ability to crawl through space."

"If bone cells can crawl across space, then they can also penetrate the pores in nanomaterials. In this way, even if there are only local pores, a section of native bone can fill the prosthesis with bone cells and reshape it!"

"With the aid of force lines..."

Wu Xuanqi had stopped in his tracks.

He seemed to understand at what level his team had lost.

It's not about operational skills or team foundation, but about the cognitive level, the theoretical level.

A complete theoretical crushing defeat is the kind of defeat that's impossible to recover from...

Wu Xuanqi stared blankly, his mouth agape, his handsome face frozen like a child.

Fang Ziye took a few steps back and asked, "Brother Qi, is there a problem with what I said?"

Wu Xuanqi's chin twitched slightly, and he answered irrelevantly: "Ziye, are you planning to separate basic orthopedic experiments from the overall framework of basic medical experiments and establish a separate lineage?"

Wu Xuanqi's theoretical and academic accumulation is not something he boasted about.

There is no false person under the great reputation.

Wu Xuanqi is said to have reached the pinnacle of talent at Tongji Hospital, but that's not because his fellow students and Professor Duan Hong deliberately flattered him to death.

Current basic scientific research can be described as thriving, but it can also be described as chaotic.

Because all basic experiments share similar consumables, experimental procedures, basic theoretical frameworks, and experimental verification methods.

The same cells are cultured in petri dishes, subjected to the same scratch assays, the same invasion assays, and the same Western blots, etc...

However, within the human body, different organs and the diseases they belong to differ in terms of function and anatomical structure.

In basic scientific research, it is naturally less rigorous to use the same approach to explore new avenues.

Everyone knows about this limitation!
Just as modern medicine originally consisted of only internal medicine and surgery, it has now branched out into dozens of different specialties and nearly two hundred different subspecialties.

However, breaking the "unified" situation requires overcoming too many, too complicated, and too chaotic constraints, which cannot be accomplished overnight.

Wu Xuanqi is no ordinary talent. When analyzing a person's research ideas, he does not only analyze their advanced nature and pioneering spirit, but also their systematic structure.

Although Fang Ziye didn't show much, Wu Xuanqi had no choice but to think boldly in this direction!
"Angkor, are you trying to make empty promises to me or to yourself?"

"Although I have considered this direction, I dare not formally set it as a long-term goal," Fang Ziye said.

Fang Ziye remained calm and wouldn't be swayed by Wu Xuanqi's words and actually head in that direction.

This kind of research is certainly good.

The scientific research value and strategic significance of hand-made nuclear bombs are even greater!

Once developed, its individual combat capability would be virtually invincible, but is that realistic?

"But Ziye, you've already broken the deadlock!"

"I knew you weren't willing to work on Professor Cheng's improvement of the micro-circulatory device. Turns out you had a better direction."

"Thinking about it this way, things in other specialties are indeed not as important as our orthopedic research."

"Great! Awesome." Wu Xuanqi gave a heartfelt thumbs up, but instead of a passionate expression, he remained deep in thought.

It was clear that Wu Xuanqi was quickly thinking about what role he could play and which part of the content he could take over.

Just as limb salvage surgery for severe injuries cannot be developed by Fang Ziye alone, this major research area is not something that one or two research groups can handle. Fang Ziye needs to find people, many people, even a team of hundreds of people, before he can venture into this unknown field and reap the rewards.

These things are first come, first served, there's nothing to be embarrassed about!

Wu Xuanqi, who does scientific research, knows that the reason why scientific research is open is because it requires manpower to help.

The required personnel must have a high level of expertise.

"Brother Wu, this topic is too far off. Right now, the more practical thing in clinical practice is my bone defect!"

"First, we need to break it down. The first step that Professor Fang, Professor Yan Huanan, and I took to break it down was to connect the bone defect with the 3D printed prosthesis model. Then, we pushed forward step by step on the raw materials of the 3D printed prosthesis model to create smaller goals."

"Let's be down-to-earth. As for basic scientific research, Professor Fang and I are working on our own," Fang Ziye said.

The individuals did not collaborate on basic scientific research, mainly because their research areas and directions were slightly different.

Upon hearing this, Wu Xuanqi immediately understood and said, "Ziye, I'm willing to work with you? Do you want our group's bid documents?"

"Enough said, given our relationship, I'll send it to you right away!"

Wu Xuanqi had a preconceived notion.

Fang Ziye was stunned upon hearing this, and quickly waved his hand: "No, Brother Wu, please don't do this. If you send me the tender documents and there is any misunderstanding later, I will be doomed!"

This time, Wu Xuanqi's team worked on HK2 and osteosarcoma. Whenever Duan Hong was involved in Yuan Weihong's proposals, even if Duan Hong was a Yangtze River Scholar, he would still suffer heavy losses.

Zhongnan Hospital is no ordinary institution. As soon as Yuan Weihong and others discovered this, they contacted the National Natural Science Foundation of China to inquire about the identity of the experts who reviewed their proposals.

Is it at Tongji Hospital?

However, the National Natural Science Foundation of China uses a blind review system for project approval, and projects from the same province are not reviewed by each other.

Avoid creating enmity or seeking refuge.

Therefore, it cannot be traced back in this direction.

But if Wu Xuanqi sends the tender documents directly, isn't Fang Ziye just asking for trouble?

Hi!~

“Ziye, you need to understand that I was the one who proactively sent you the proposal. This is a way of establishing a collaborative relationship within the research group.”

"Email communication is internationally recognized. I sent it to you proactively, so even if there are any hedging issues, it doesn't matter."

"I mainly hope that Professor Fang can correct one or two things."

Fang Ziye completely lost his composure, his voice trailing off: "No way~ ...

"It's possible~~~" Wu Xuanqi also drew out his voice, his main point being shamelessness.

The so-called "seizing every opportunity" is exactly what Wu Xuanqi's approach is like.

"..."

Before the inspection began, Wu Xuanqi first introduced himself to everyone in a generous manner, and then respectfully handed over the power of speech to Professor Fang Zhikuan and Fang Ziye.

Well, Wu Xuanqi is quite famous in the province, but nationally, he is still a junior, and his experience is not as deep as Fang Ziye's when he first arrived.

Therefore, Yan Huanan and Fang Zhikuan knew nothing about Wu Xuanqi.

Since they didn't understand it, they naturally didn't take it too seriously.

However, Professor Du Donglin from the hand surgery department next door, after clearly hearing Wu Xuanqi's name, came over separately and asked, "Is Professor Wu the one who performed functional reconstruction surgery at the Han City Sanatorium Research Institute?"

The name of the Han City Sanatorium is not Military Region Sanatorium, but another name, 'Sanatorium Research Institute'!
Upon hearing this, Fang Zhikuan glanced at Du Donglin, then at Wu Xuanqi, and paused his lengthy summary of the group's cases.

Wu Xuanqi looked at Du Donglin. He felt he should know the other person, but he couldn't remember his name for a moment. After all, Du Donglin was a hand surgeon.

Fang Ziye then introduced, "Professor Du Donglin from the Hand Surgery Department, Professor Du, and this is Professor Wu Xuanqi from the Trauma Surgery Department of Tongji Hospital!"

"Wait a minute? Team Leader Fang, isn't Professor Wu Xuanqi a specialist in functional reconstruction surgery? Shouldn't he be in our hand surgery department?" Du Donglin took two steps closer to Wu Xuanqi, wanting to pull him away.

"Professor Wu Xuanqi is Professor Duan Hong's beloved student, how could he possibly be a hand surgeon?"

Fang Ziye replied cautiously, "However, Professor Wu is indeed quite skilled in functional reconstruction techniques!"

Before, Du Donglin had reported to Fang Ziye many times that a sanatorium in Han City had been specializing in functional reconstruction surgery for the past two months, and many people had transferred there.

"Hey..." Du Donglin looked at Fang Ziye and Wu Xuanqi, then lowered his head and left.

He was cursing under his breath.

Is this trauma surgery department cursed? They're all hogging the job, wasting such promising hand surgery talent…

After this, Fang Zhikuan and Yan Huanan looked at Wu Xuanqi with slightly higher regard.

Yan Huanan suddenly remembered: "Professor Wu, Professor Duan's team is currently the best in China when it comes to the reconstruction treatment of bone defects in orthopedics. Professor Wu should also be quite accomplished in this area, right?"

Anyone who works on bone defects will know Professor Duan Hong's team. Although Duan Hong is not the top expert in China, his team is on par with several other major teams, and it is difficult to distinguish which is better.

The Yushi Military Medical University Affiliated Hospital, where Yan Huanan works, has a slightly less experience in this area.

Upon hearing this, Fang Ziye smiled and said, "Professor Wu has a lot of experience in treating bone defects in our trauma surgery department. He is much more professional than me."

"Professor Wu has made great contributions to the development and breakthroughs of Professor Duan Hong's team."

Wu Xuanqi immediately shook his head: "Team Leader Fang, don't try to persuade me. If you had said this before, I would have believed you, but now I dare not say that I have the upper hand over you."

"It's just that I can perform some surgeries." Wu Xuanqi was a little modest, but not really.

“That’s perfect. Professor Wu, please take a look at our group’s patients now…” After saying that, Fang Zhikuan quickly led the people to make their rounds.

……

In late February, the types of diseases admitted were relatively simple, mainly bone defects. Since everyone wanted to continue to delve deeper into this area, the concentration of cases was unavoidable.

Wu Xuanqi said, "Patent defects seem simple, but they are actually the most difficult to treat. We have caused patients to suffer when we performed patellar reconstruction before."

"Of course, we suffered a loss from the perspective of us doctors."

"Patent reconstruction should not be performed using anatomical reconstruction, but rather functional reconstruction should be chosen. Our team previously adhered to the concept of anatomical reconstruction..."

In the field of medical reconstruction, there have been two conflicting ideas.

Functional reconstruction focuses on functional reconstruction, while anatomical reconstruction is secondary.

However, a large number of scholars have confirmed that functional rehabilitation in the later stages of anatomical reconstruction is more advantageous than functional reconstruction itself!

Therefore, most clinicians rush to perform anatomical reconstruction surgery, hoping to maximize the long-term prognostic advantages once the patient has healed.

However, nothing is absolute!

"After anatomical reconstruction of the patella, patients may feel better initially, but the wear and tear is too great, and joint function will become increasingly stiff!"

"On the contrary, functional reconstruction, although the anatomical position is not rounded enough, actually makes the patient have more room to slide after surgery. So our team switched to functional reconstruction last year."

"The follow-up results so far are quite good."

“Team Leader Fang, I suggest we prioritize functional reconstruction. Anatomical reconstruction of patellar defects, like the patella itself, involves detaching it from the long bones; it’s essentially a free bone,” Wu Xuanqi suggested.

"Yes, this is the first time we've treated this patient. We're currently in the exploratory phase of treatment options..."

After Fang Ziye finished speaking, he asked, "Professor Wu, do you have any suggestions for this total femoral reconstruction?"

There's also hemipelvic reconstruction, which is undoubtedly anatomical reconstruction. Moreover, the disassembly and recombination model proposed by Fang Ziye has an even greater advantage!

Upon hearing this, Wu Xuanqi thought about it carefully before saying, "How about we leave this question for later discussion?"

"I still need to go through some documents and materials we've accumulated!"

"The main reason is that all the professors are too professional; I wouldn't dare to presume to teach them my own tricks!" Wu Xuanqi said cautiously.

There's no other reason than that everyone here is incredibly talented.

Even Professor Yan Huanan's knowledge accumulation is quite terrifying!
The other two associate chief physicians, although not as experienced as Wu Xuanqi, still had a deeper understanding than the average associate professor.

There is another prescription above that.

Gu Yi was the easiest to bully, but Wu Xuanqi had no intention of bullying Gu Yi. He needed to figure out how to gain a foothold first.

Today is Friday, and no surgeries are scheduled, but surgeries scheduled for Monday will be arranged.

Those with hemipelvic defects and patellar defects have already been scheduled...

At the entrance of the villa!

Wu Xuanqi walked in with him, and the security guard at the door, Brother Long, even came out to give Wu Xuanqi a cigarette.

Long Jinhua said, "Professor Fang, you and Professor Wu are quite familiar with each other, aren't you?"

Long Jinhua was clearly more familiar with Wu Xuanqi.

Wu Xuanqi put his arm around Fang Ziye and said, "This is my best brother."

"Brother Long, you must take good care of me in the future."

"Professor Fang and Professor Wu, please take good care of me. Let's have a drink together sometime!" Long Jinhua took the initiative to invite him, a 'treatment' that even Fang Ziye didn't receive.

The two walked away, and Wu Xuanqi invited Fang Ziye to his villa area.

Fang Ziye then learned that Wu Xuanqi had his own villa, which was reserved for him regardless of whether he came to work there or not.

This treatment surprised Fang Ziye.

"Brother Qi, Old Doctor Chen is treating you quite well, isn't he?" Fang Ziye asked.

A great reputation is never undeserved; Wu Xuanqi must possess abilities that Wu Xuanqi is unaware of to deserve such treatment!

"I've participated in several emergency rescues before, so Dr. Chen gave me some special privileges," Wu Xuanqi replied with a simple smile.

Pushing open the door, the interior space was about the same size as Fang Ziye's villa, and the style was similar as well.

However, the interior design in Wu Xuanqi's place was more advanced than that in Fang Ziye's place, featuring fully automated furniture.

Even the kettle is fully automatic.

"The pure spring water was just brought in yesterday, Ziye. Would you like tea or coffee?"

"You don't mind if I light a cigarette, do you?" Wu Xuanqi took out his cigarette case and asked this question.

"Brother Qi, please do as you please." Fang Ziye took out his phone to check his messages!

"Did your girlfriend need something?" Wu Xuanqi asked.

Fang Ziye shook his head: "No, Tingzhu is going back to Han City again, she'll be back today."

After reading the information, Fang Ziye discovered that Luo Tingzhu, the girl with the academic background, had successfully entered the laboratory assessment and was now arranging the experimental plan.

She also said that once she found her own lab, she would return to Seoul as soon as possible to bring her cells over and start her postdoctoral work at the postdoctoral station.

Fly to Seoul, take the high-speed train back.

We can bring over a batch of baby cells tonight.

"Indeed, outstanding people are all very hardworking."

Wu Xuanqi continued, "Ziye, let's chat for a while first, and then I'll ask you some questions. I hope you'll be willing to share your knowledge."

"As the saying goes, 'No discord, no concord,' and I'm very happy to cooperate with you, Ziye..."

……

Time flies like water, and half a day has passed in the blink of an eye.

In Wu Xuanqi's house, takeout boxes piled up in the trash cans. After pulling up the drawer rope, Wu Xuanqi said, "Ziye, you go help out first, we'll talk later when we have time!"

"Ziye, some of your ideas today were very inspiring to me." Wu Xuanqi's expression changed from his previous playful demeanor to a serious one.

"Brother Qi, I'll be going now."

"Tingzhu gets off the train at 8:50, I'll go pick her up," Fang Ziye said.

“Well, we live close by anyway, so let’s get together more often when we have time.” Wu Xuanqi saw Fang Ziye to the door of the villa and then returned.

Back in his room, Wu Xuanqi video-chatted with his wife.

Even after seeing his daughter, Wu Xuanqi didn't smile much. Instead, he shared his experiences with clear eyes.

"You've been reborn? Are you kidding me?" Tang Yue put her daughter down to her grandmother, picked up her phone, and went into the study.

Tang Yue understands her husband well.

There may be a few senior professors across the country who could inspire Wu Xuanqi to say such things, but there are definitely not many; you could probably count them on one finger.

"Tang Yue, you know I'm never exaggerating when it comes to this."

"When you reach a certain level in scientific research, the joy of competing with others is limited. The joy of striving with others is boundless." Wu Xuanqi said with his hands behind his chest, as if his whole being had been elevated.

Tang Yue burst out laughing: "Go and see your parents right away, stop pretending to be so profound."

The parents Tang Yue mentioned were Wu Xuanqi's parents-in-law.

"Yeah, I'll hang up with you and head over. Tomorrow's the weekend, I'll go there for a free meal," Wu Xuanqi said with a smile.
