Immortality begins with meditation puppets

Chapter 714 Special Bone for Special Use, Witchcraft Doll

The Ancestral Witch Houtu's physical body—such a treasure—was something Su Qing was only thankful for not discovering when the Reincarnation Demon controlled the Abyss Secret Realm. Otherwise, if he had used that demonic method to corrupt it, he could have instantly created a seventh-tier Heavenly Demon General. At that time, the difficulty and cost of defeating the Reincarnation Demon would have been vastly different from before.

As for how he obtained this item, it is a divine object that conceals itself. Although there is no true spirit remaining in the body of the Ancestral Witch Houtu, there is still innate spirituality. If it does not want to be discovered, no one but an eighth-order Dao Ancestor can discover it. If it wants to be discovered, you can see it by simply looking down. Su Qing discovered this body of the Ancestral Witch Houtu by accidentally looking down when he was exploring the Abyss Secret Realm again after defeating the Reincarnation Demon.

In his opinion, it must be because he was tainted by too much karma from the witch clan that the body of the ancestral witch Houtu, who had been hidden in the world for countless years and had not appeared even when the witch clan was almost extinct, was willingly brought into his hands.

Its significance is the same as that of the Heavenly Dragon Bone given to him by the Azure Dragon King; it is a heavy responsibility that is a thousand times heavier than the Ancestral Witch Bone and the Ancestral Dragon Bone.

Originally, out of respect for his predecessors and the symbolic and spiritual significance of these two items to the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan, Su Qing had no intention of using them.

But now, he has figured it out.

Things are meant to be used.

As long as he can ensure that he can use these things on the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan and bring out their full potential, then he will not have failed the kindness of these two predecessors.

In the current myriad realms, only the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom is willing and able to provide space for the development of the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan. It can be said that the future fate of the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan is already tied to the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom, which is to say, to Su Qing.

If Su Qing is strong, then the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom is strong; if the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom is strong, then the Dragon Clan and the Witch Clan are strong. We are all in a community of shared destiny, so let's not get hung up on what's yours and what's mine. We can use what's suitable and then compensate the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan when we have the ability to do so in the future.

Su Qing has always been very good at mental preparation. In an instant, she put aside the psychological burden caused by using the Ancestral Witch Bone and Ancestral Dragon Bone to refine the puppet and focused on how to maximize the effect of these two things.

In his opinion, although he had no blood of the Witch Clan and was not related to the Dragon Clan, he had indeed received a lot of good fortune from both the Witch Clan and the Dragon Clan.

The Dao patterns of the Wu Clan, such as the Nine Li Xing Tian, and the numerous Dao patterns of the Dragon Clan carried on the Nine Sons Dragon Ship, were all once the legacy of the Wu Clan and the Dragon Clan. Now, this fortune and destiny have all come to him.

Originally, he did not have a better way to utilize the talents of the Witch Clan and Dragon Clan.

Now, however, we can try to use the Ancestral Dragon Bone, the Ancestral Witch Bone, and the Enlightenment Doll for specific purposes. We can use the Ancestral Witch Bone to refine the Witch Dao Doll, which is dedicated to comprehending the Great Dao of the Witch Clan, and use the Ancestral Dragon Bone to refine the Dragon Dao Doll, which is dedicated to comprehending the Great Dao of the Dragon Clan.

Therefore, with these two innate bodies in hand, he never worried about this aspect. In fact, besides these two innate bodies, he also had information about an innate god body.

This innate deity was named Hongyun Daoren. Born at the beginning of heaven and earth, he was once on par with great powers such as the Eastern Duke and Western Mother, and the Three Sect Ancestors. However, due to his easygoing nature and his tendency to avoid competition, he was eliminated before the Dao Ancestor Tournament even began, in the cruel competitive environment of ancient times where not competing was a sin. His remains changed hands several times and eventually fell into the hands of Buddhism. They are currently located somewhere in the Land of Dao Fall. Only the Azure Dragon King knows this information in the world. He later informed Su Qing, who plans to organize a team to search for them after everything is settled.

The problem of his congenital physical condition was clearly not an issue for him.

The essence of this innate spiritual object is another problem.

The so-called essence of innate spiritual objects refers to the innate spiritual essence contained within innate spiritual treasures. For example, Xing Tian's Blood Axe contains a wisp of innate spiritual essence, as do the Measuring Ruler and the Xuan Tian Water Control Flag in his hands.

However, to destroy a primordial spiritual treasure just to obtain this primordial spiritual essence is a terrible waste.

It should be understood that innate spiritual treasures are rare and hard to find in all the heavens, regardless of time or place. They are predetermined by the heavens, and if each innate spiritual treasure is used properly, its value is no less than that of a seventh-order Dao Lord.

It was already a stroke of luck for Su Qing to have obtained two or three of these treasures. If he were to deliberately destroy them for the sake of making puppets, he would probably be punished by the heavens. Even if he wasn't punished by the heavens, he would still be cursed by thousands of people for the crime of damaging the spiritual treasures of heaven and earth.

In Su Qing's opinion, to obtain this innate spiritual essence, one must take it from those ancient spiritual treasures that were already destroyed.

In ancient times, countless calamities occurred, and in any conflict, the participation of innate spiritual treasures was indispensable. No matter how resilient the innate spiritual treasures that often fought in high-level battles were, they would still be reduced to dust and ashes in the chaotic battles between Dao Ancestors and Dao Lords, and their bodies would be destroyed and become ancient.

Therefore, if he wanted to obtain innate spiritual treasures, his gaze should not be on the existing intact innate spiritual treasures, but on those innate damaged treasures whose power and effects were not as great as before.

With the conditions lowered, the selection difficulty is much lower than that of innate spiritual treasures. However, although innate fragmentary treasures are not as precious as innate spiritual treasures, they are not commonplace either. The scarcity of innate spiritual treasures means that the number of innate fragmentary treasures will not be large either.

Moreover, given the current environment where resources are not as abundant as in ancient times, regardless of whether it is an innate spiritual treasure or an innate fragment, as long as it is associated with the word "innate," it is a coveted item that all the major sects and forces in the heavens compete for.

Those who could utilize it, like the Yuanshi Sect, would have to open a furnace to refine the innate remnant treasure into an acquired spiritual treasure that could be used immediately. If Su Qing had obtained an innate remnant treasure, his first thought would have been to refine it into a puppet and exchange it for immediate combat power.

Sects like the Dongwang Sect and Danyuan Sect, which don't have much use for these items, possess some innate fragments. They don't currently plan to refine them into acquired spiritual treasures, puppets, or pills. These may seem like idle items, but in reality, obtaining these innate fragments from them is much more difficult than purchasing acquired spiritual treasures with innate spiritual energy from the Yuanshi Sect. This is because these sects are hoping to place these innate fragments in places where innate spiritual energy is generated after the revival of Tianyuan, attempting to turn these innate fragments into treasures and restore their original power as innate spiritual treasures.

"The innate remnant treasure seems quite difficult to obtain, but at least there are clues to follow. If we pay a certain price and put in some effort, we should have a chance to get it. If we are really pushed to the limit, we can take Erqiang to that land of fallen dragons and open a few dragon clan secret treasures. This problem will be solved immediately."

Su Qing pondered for a moment and realized that the key materials for refining the Enlightenment Doll were still the Bodhi Fruit and the Enlightenment Flower. It was unknown whether these two items even existed in the mortal world, and there was no way to obtain them.

"I have the blueprints in my hand, and the future path is beckoning me, but alas, things don't always go as planned. Without the Enlightenment Flower and the Bodhi Fruit, I will never become the Enlightenment Child!" Su Qing sighed deeply, feeling utterly helpless.

The position of a seventh-order Dao Lord is undoubtedly of great significance to the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom and to all the things he wants to do now and in the future. He can face all the major events in the myriad realms with greater ease, and he can also try to explore places like the Land of Dao Fall and the Burial Immortal Realm, which are both dangerous and full of opportunities. Furthermore, he holds the ticket to advance to the eighth-order Dao Ancestor.

"The ticket to the eighth-order Dao Ancestor, I don't even know if such a thing exists. With the current heavens and the Tianyuan Realm's resources, is there really a condition for the birth of the next Dao Ancestor?"
Whether it comes or not, opportunity favors the prepared. I must be prepared, otherwise, if such a great opportunity arises but I miss it due to insufficient cultivation or lack of good fortune, that would truly be a lifelong regret!

Su Qing paced alone in the secret room. He understood the urgency of advancing to the seventh-level Dao Lord better than anyone else, but the conditions were too restrictive for him to rush.

Since the Enlightenment Doll cannot be refined, it is destined that he will not be able to shorten the time required to advance to the seventh-level Dao Lord.

Can't we really let him cultivate on his own?

Has Su Qing practiced any spiritual cultivation over the years?

He never practiced on his own when he was cultivating Qi, and now that he's reached the Void Refinement stage, you expect him to practice on his own? Is that even fair?

Self-reliance? When he embarked on the path of puppetry, he didn't want to be self-reliant!

“It’s impossible to cultivate on my own. I could never cultivate on my own in my entire life. For now, besides having Hongshang continue to focus on the Bodhi Fruit and the Enlightenment Flower, I can only put my energy into the puppets. After all, a newly promoted seventh-level puppeteer is not much weaker than a seventh-level Dao Lord. I’ll make full use of the resources at hand and try to build up another seventh-level puppet. When that happens, if anyone dares to say that I’m not as good as a seventh-level Dao Lord, I’ll have the puppet slap them in the face!”

Su Qing thought with a touch of self-abandonment, but this idea wasn't entirely without merit.

In terms of actual effectiveness, combined with his extraordinary ability to develop puppets and the increasingly mature puppet manufacturing capabilities of the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom, the role that this seventh-order puppeteer can play is indeed far stronger than that of a seventh-order Dao Lord. For example, in the battle to annihilate the Evil Sword Realm, why was it Su Qing who led the annihilation? Over the years, didn't those great sects of the heavens want to annihilate this realm? Wasn't it because Su Qing used puppets that he could greatly reduce casualties and minimize the corresponding costs?
Just as he was thinking this, a divine message suddenly entered his mind.

"My great master, your loyal servant Xiong Er extends his sincerest greetings to you from the Hanging Ancient Temple."

Since the battle against the Demon of Reincarnation, I have been invited by the ancient Buddhist temple to embark on a tour of feasts—or rather, a tour of sermons—throughout the heavens.

Today, I have finished expounding the sutras to all 1,376 Buddhist sects in the heavens. During this time, I have carefully followed my master's instructions.

During the lectures, he secretly mixed in his own ideas to instill the advanced concepts of my Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom into contemporary Buddhist disciples, help them transform their thinking, and strive to cultivate them into Buddhist disciples of the new era.

This process was difficult because there were always some conservative old monks and stubborn old abbots who tried to interfere with my sermons, saying that neither Mahayana nor Hinayana Buddhism contained the ideas I preached, and that I was intentionally distorting Buddhist scriptures, transmitting bad ideas to Buddhist disciples, and hindering their practice.

But having served my master for so long, I have been deeply influenced by his thoughts and know that the path of revolution is always full of ruggedness and obstacles. We cultivators, who wish to change the world, must have an unwavering heart and a resolute and pure belief. We must overcome all obstacles and challenges to achieve our goals.

Therefore, when dealing with the old bald monks and old monks who questioned his ideas and hindered his preaching during the sermon, he used both his left hand and right hand to subdue these stubborn individuals with his virtue and led them to the right path.

Now, I have completed the sermon campaign across the heavens, but the results are not yet obvious. As my master said, the Buddhist cultivators of the heavens also need some time to digest the new ideas. I am only responsible for igniting a spark for them. Therefore, I have put aside my obsession with quick results and am preparing to return to Tianyuan to accept the invitations from several major Buddhist sects such as the Tianyuan Ancient Temple and the Bodhi Buddhist Kingdom to begin the second round of the Tianyuan Dharma transmission.

The above are all the intangible gains I have made on this trip. In addition to these gains, there were also some insignificant material gains.

Because the Buddhas of the heavens are grateful for my tireless efforts in preaching and expounding the Dharma to them, I receive great courtesy and even more generous gifts whenever I arrive at a new Buddhist realm. I have heard rumors circulating in the heavens that I am greedy and will not preach properly if I do not receive gifts, and that the depth of the Dharma I teach is directly proportional to the gifts I receive. This is completely unfounded and an evil act to deliberately smear my reputation. With your wisdom and insight, Master, you will not be misled by these petty people.

Because the cultivators of the Bodhi Ancient Kingdom are so enthusiastic, this humble servant is simply unable to come to the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom to see Master. I can only entrust someone to bring Master a few spiritual items to express my longing for you.

A divine message flashed through Su Qing's mind, causing his expression to shift repeatedly.

Buddhist Xiong Er!

How could he forget Xiong Er, his most trusted general?

The establishment of Xiong Er Money Shop helped him solve the problem of the Kaiyuan Immortal Kingdom's purse strings.

Holding the power to interpret Buddhist scriptures, one's status within Buddhism is almost equivalent to that of a reincarnated Buddha, wielding immense influence among all Buddhist sects.

Since the battle against the Demon of Reincarnation, he has gained immense merit and been blessed with good fortune, causing his cultivation to rise rapidly. Without any self-modification, he now possesses the cultivation of a sixth-level Buddha, just like Tiger Egg.

Logically speaking, when he was considering candidates for the seventh-order Dao Master, Xiong Er should have been the first one he thought of. After all, in terms of aptitude, Xiong Er, who was incredibly clever, was not necessarily worse than Hu Dan. In terms of luck and fortune, Xiong Er, who was favored by the Buddhist sect, was much better than Hu Dan. Therefore, his speed of advancing to the seventh-order Dao Master was likely to be faster than Hu Dan's.

He hadn't considered Xiong Er before because Xiong Er was even busier than him; the burdens and tasks it carried were no less than his! (End of Chapter)
