The memories of all humanity are awakening, except for mine.

Jiang Chuan himself made some summaries about the time frame of his past life dreams.

While most of these claims are unverifiable, at least one thing is certain...

The timeframe in past life dreams can be likened to a ray, and the endpoint of this ray, which extends towards the distant past, is 1999, which is the most recent timeframe that people can access in their past life dreams.

The war of 1999 spanned the entirety of human civilization. In those past life dreams, it seemed that all of humanity was involved in this battle, which many called a war that shattered the world. Through the accounts of many bloggers in short videos, Jiang Chuan learned some details about that war.

Mechs were everywhere, starships and arks crisscrossed the sky, numerous powerful cultivators and missile arrays were deployed, and giant mechs cleared the way for tanks and infantry formations. The battlefield covered land, sea and air, energy poured out, and explosions were everywhere, turning the night into day...

These sights are breathtaking enough, but... what exactly happened in '99?
Who is the enemy?

Even though people have gradually unearthed past life dreams to this day, no one has been able to explain why.

People speculate that this may be related to the past-life dreams that people experience now.

But speculation is just speculation; the truth remains to be discovered.

Jiang Chuan clicked on the video titled "The Secret of 99 Years, It's Time to Reveal It" with many questions in mind. The video opened with several photoshopped images that had been circulating online for a long time, accompanied by the blogger's voice.

"In 1999, the war was about to end."

"Our team paid a heavy price to contribute to the new millennium in human history."

"Human civilization has made great strides during this decade of war."

"The insatiable desire to win drives people to transform technological achievements into killing tools at any cost."

"But what will be the price?"

"We have been forced to forget far too much."

Jiang Chuan found the opening remarks quite interesting. He was also a little curious as to why the number of likes and views for this video was far less than the mecha blueprint video that the blogger posted later.

This question was quickly answered, because the truly useful information was concentrated in the opening remarks.

The entire video is no different from other marketing videos; it contains no useful information, doesn't mention any clues or evidence, and is just full of empty talk.

What exactly was forgotten, and what were the details of that earth-shattering battle in 99? These were not mentioned at all in the following minutes of the video.

"Damn clickbait headlines."

Jiang Chuan patiently watched the entire video, and after making a comment, he turned off his phone screen.

It wasn't that he didn't want to look at other places, but rather that he had originally gone out to visit Teacher Liu, but unexpectedly, Sister Wu had taken him to the institution...

He didn't bring a charger.

"It seems there's something more to the events of '99 that needs to be explored more deeply..."

Jiang Chuan lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought.

"Not only do we not know who our opponent is, but the whole story is also a mystery."

"Even many technologies have been sealed away. What kind of method is this?"

"If past life memories are real, then it's impossible for anyone not to know about the battlefield 99 years ago. So, isn't this power to erase memories a bit too far beyond our imagination?"

"However, the blueprints for this power armor..."

"is that true?"

Although it seemed impressive at first glance, upon closer inspection, it was full of flaws.

If the blueprint is genuine, how could the organization allow something like that to be exposed?

Jiang Chuan shook his head. He had no way of knowing what the organization was thinking, nor could he verify the authenticity of the blueprints...

Why bother yourself with this?
He wanted to get rid of these thoughts and avoid pointless internal conflict.

But once an idea appears, it takes root, sprouts, and grows vigorously.

Jiang Chuan, who was already struggling to fall asleep, was now in a complete mess of thoughts and found it even harder to drift off.

In the end, I could only get out of bed. The moonlight was nice tonight, and I hoped it could cleanse my chaotic mind so I wouldn't think of anything worse.

The image of a female mecha pilot was gradually forming in my mind. The special mecha suit was made of excellent fabric and offered good coverage... Moreover, it was a two-person cockpit, with myself as one of the pilots. In the cramped environment, I could even smell the sweet fragrance emanating from the female pilot's hair...

Jiang Chuan himself didn't know why his wild thoughts could feel so real.

He walked out of his dormitory, down Building 4, towards the square, and looked up at the bright moon tonight.

"What a beautiful moonlight."

These six words did not come from Jiang Chuan's mouth.

Jiang Chuan was stunned and looked around abruptly.

He saw a tall, thin boy wearing a T-shirt and denim shorts looking up at the moon. Because of the difference in perspective, he hadn't seen him at first.

Jiang Chuan looked him over carefully and found that the kid was just as handsome as himself.

He stood there with his hands behind his back, his tall figure casting a long shadow, like an ancient poet gazing at the moon with a faint smile on his lips.

"Brother, you've come to admire the moon too?"

Jiang Chuan nodded, then shook his head: "It's nothing special, just taking a look."

The man said, "The observatory says it's a supermoon tonight, you should take a look."

"In this secluded place, whatever troubles you have, whatever is unspeakable, you can tell the moon."

"The so-called..."

"It's hard to tell my thoughts to anyone, but I can tell them to the clear sky and the bright moon."

"That's it."

Jiang Chuan frowned, feeling somewhat uncomfortable with this affected manner; to put it simply, it was a bit pretentious.

But judging from this, this guy is actually older than me... He can't possibly still be suffering from chuunibyou, right? Maybe it's related to his awakened memories?

Jiang Chuan didn't follow his line of thought, but instead asked, "Are you here for training too?"

The man nodded slightly and said, "My name is Tang Songming. May I ask your esteemed name?"

Jiang Chuan found the name interesting. He first told him his own name, then asked, "Tang, Song, Ming? What about Yuan and Qing?"

Tang Songming chuckled and said, "My younger brother, Tang Yuanqing."

Jiang Chuan nodded; so they were twins.

Then he asked, "I notice you speak in a rather archaic style. Have you always spoken like this?"

Tang, Song, and Ming: "No, this is due to a dream."

"It was inconvenient at first, but you got used to it after a while."

As Tang Songming spoke, he maintained his posture of gazing at the moon.

After a brief pause, he continued, "Your name is quite meaningful, Jiangchuan. It shows that you have the ambition to conquer the world."

Jiang Chuan pondered what his name had to do with his aspirations, given to him by his parents.

However, since it was a compliment, Jiang Chuan didn't refute it.

but……

Caused by a dream?
He had never seen anyone's awakened memories have such a huge impact... except for that lunatic Zhao Yongxuan.

Thinking of this, Jiang Chuan subconsciously asked Tang Songming:

What are your memories of your past life?

Tang Songming seemed to have been waiting for this question. He stopped putting his hands behind his back, opened his fan with a whoosh, and while fanning himself, asked Jiang Chuan, "Brother, do you have any guesses?"

Jiang Chuan was speechless: "I can't guess."

Tang Songming chuckled, showing no anger, and bluntly revealed the answer:
"My name is Tang Yin."
