Summary of Volume One and Leave of Absence

Hello readers, I am the author, Dragon is not Spicy Strip.

Thank you for reading my work until now, and thank you to all my readers for your continued support with comments, subscriptions, monthly tickets, rewards, and recommendations.

Since the author hasn't read many online novels and this is their first time writing, the plot may sometimes feel a little unfamiliar to readers. I apologize for this and have been cramming on relevant knowledge overnight to try and provide you with a better experience.

In fact, the theme of this book has always revolved around the introduction.

"This is the story of Lin An, a young man who yearns for that world, and how he harnesses various mysterious powers."

The initial concept was a road trip story about a creature from an alien civilization traveling on our planet, experiencing various cultural landscapes and peoples. The main tone was light and cheerful, exploring a diverse and extraordinary global world with a humorous popular science style.

Then, as the author gradually refined the plot and world-building, the story's tone became somewhat similar to the science fiction + fantasy style of writers such as Neil Gaiman and Roger Zelazny.

Through road trips and adventures, it tells the story of the entanglement and balance between the universe and our planet, the spiritual and the physical, and God and man.

Although some side stories were less enjoyable due to the mandatory daily updates, the author's poor writing skills, and issues with the Shenhe incident, the book has a very comprehensive outline, and the story's direction has not spiraled out of control.

The main storyline candle appears in Chapter 4, and the existence of aliens is mentioned repeatedly from Chapter 10 onwards, interspersed in various parts of the plot, such as the aerial battle in Rasmedos, the broadcasts at the Foundation headquarters, and Mike's conversations.

The first volume lays out the setting, introducing twelve mediums, their characteristics and abilities, and briefly explaining the world view, the protagonist's background, and the main characters.

The real adventure is about to begin (O_o)??
Secondly, the title "The Ghost of Dietrich" refers not only to the code name Lin An received from the St. Aniloff Foundation, but also to his current psychological state.

Every time the protagonist's mindset shifts or wavers, a "ghost" appears in the chapter title.

Lin An is a hybrid of an alien and a human. He struggles to empathize with others, and logic and emotion are merely learned facades for him. He always feels out of place in a society without radiation. Only when "Comers" appears does he finally find his true purpose.

From this moment on, Lin An, a hybrid of two planets, became a complete individual.

This also led to a flaw in the early part of the work: the protagonist had almost no personality development, as if he were a puppet (tears).

The newly "born" Lin An was a curious infant, innocently and cruelly exploring the world that attracted him. In the early stages of his life, the so-called mystics were nothing more than the embodiment of entries and mediums.

But as Lin An grows through his adventures, he also re-examines his own human emotions while pursuing the experiences of "Comers".

As the first volume draws to a close, Lin An has perfected himself and acquired a true personality, transforming from an ethereal, wandering ghost into a defined individual.

Just as things that were initially merely concepts, such as thunder, light, and water, were endowed with specific divine attributes and personalities through the continuation of civilizations and nations, and with the advancement of myths and epics.

In the end, the author didn't expect the first volume to be 77 words long, even after cutting a lot of side stories and daily life scenes...

The outline consists of five volumes and is expected to be completed in about 300 million words.

If the keywords for the first volume are "adventure" and "finding oneself," then the keywords for the second volume are "farming" and "exploration," along with the main theme of "revenge," which is a fairly common theme in online novels.

The author plans to take 2-3 days off to refine the outline and setting of the second volume, and continue to study the writing techniques, pacing, and plot development of veteran online novelists, striving to create a work that readers will enjoy.

Let's follow Lin An's adventure in "The Hunter of the Kuba River" and continue this journey through the mystical world.
