They all call me an Outer God.

Chapter 86 The Man with Only a Mouth

Chapter 86 The Man with Only a Mouth
Little Swarth visibly grew frustrated, and it fed coal into the furnace at an increasingly slower pace.

Lia couldn't care less about its feelings for the moment. He was feeling cold all over, as if he had fallen into an ice cave from which he could not escape. Most of this was the body's instinctive reaction. It seemed that the original owner was really afraid of everything related to the mountains.

He shook his head and told Little Swarth to store the extraordinary creature that had turned to stone, while he was responsible for waking up the people at the front of the train and telling them not to sleep during their work hours to prevent any accidents from happening to the train passengers.

The staff seemed to know what had happened in Gaikoso and acted quite experiencedly. Their method of resisting the supernatural was to shout "Praise the sun!" at a statue of the sun god.

Normally, Ria would definitely despise this group of charlatans, but the gods here truly exist, and their statues provide believers with corresponding protection.

Ria was puzzled: "Why are you only starting to praise the sun now?"

“We have been praising Him all along, and it is thanks to His protection that our journey has been safe and sound.”

"What if something happened that you don't know about? For example, if I hadn't woken you up this time, something else might have happened on this train."

"So you must be a messenger sent by the sun to save us. Praise the sun."

Ria: "..."

He and this group of people had run out of things to talk about.

He had no idea what these people had experienced on the train.

However, the existence of the Sun God statue does have a certain defensive effect against supernatural beings, and Ria could sense a certain sense of apprehension from the supernatural beings she had encountered before.

If they don't venture deep into the mountains, the supernatural creatures on the outer layer won't cause much of a stir, but they just won't cause any "big" stir. It was the humanoid supernatural creature that suddenly and inexplicably barged in that made Liya very concerned.

He gave everyone a "take it easy" look, then returned to his own carriage. The passengers were still sleeping, and Lia felt there was no need to wake them; they would soon wake up naturally.

"I need to figure out where that supernatural creature came from and why it knows the original 'me'."

Taking advantage of the fact that no one was in the car, he had Little Swarth release the supernatural creature whose eyes had been contaminated. Judging from its outline, it was no different in size from a human, the only difference being that it only had a mouth on its face.

Based on this characteristic, Ria decided to temporarily call him "Human Mouth".

He wasn't very good at coming up with names, but he decided to call the other person that.

"Perhaps I should compile my own encyclopedia of extraordinary creatures, so that I can categorize the extraordinary creatures I encounter and make it easier to analyze them when I encounter problems in the future."

Someone had done this before in Lia, but Lia still needs to figure it out on her own before she can get official data.

He took out a blank notebook and wrote the name "Human Mouth" on the first page, then recorded his characteristics.

"The characteristics are that of a middle-aged male, with a mixed voice from multiple people, and the recipe is currently unknown..."

As she was writing, Ria put down her brass pen and noticed little Swarth sitting next to her chair, his eyes brimming with tears as he nibbled at his sleeve, as if he was about to cry.

"What's wrong with you?" Ria asked, puzzled.

"Aww..." Little Swarth rubbed his head against his arm like a cat, almost speaking in his eagerness.

After a while, it suddenly uttered a syllable that was hard to decipher, sounding like either "mama" or "papa." Ria couldn't quite make out what it was, but he could roughly imagine how the mythical creature felt; being so young, it felt neglected.

Ria couldn't figure out when she had neglected it, so she simply picked it up and put it on her shoulder to keep it from bothering her.

The mythical creature let out a joyful cry, transforming into tentacles that clung to his shoulder. It slid dozens of tentacles into his collar, taking root inside Ria's skin to secure its body, and then fell silent.

Little Swarth watched as Ria conducted various experiments on the corrupted supernatural being, but no matter what, Ria didn't pry open the supernatural being's mouth to hear it say anything else.

This troubled Ria greatly. He felt an itch on his forehead and wanted to scratch it, but then he discovered several tendrils under his skin that looked like blood vessels. Each one was as thick as a real vein on the back of his hand, and even through a layer of skin, they appeared to be dark in color.

This is how Little Swarth expresses his fondness; if the target were someone else instead of Ria, that person would probably have already started bleeding profusely and died on the spot.

"I remember during the Great Rain Festival, the mythical creature controlled the fishman's body. I wonder if it has any way to deal with this situation."

Ria snapped off an outward-facing tentacle and put it into the humanoid mouth.

He didn't move, but after a moment, he suddenly moved, reaching out to grab his own neck and making a "hmph" sound.

"Is this thing suppressing its own speech?"

Suddenly, Ria stood up and circled the humanoid mouth, its golden eyes following Ria's movements.

"What are you trying to cover up? Who's stopping you from speaking?"

Ria stood before him, his eyes fixed on the humanoid mouth. After a moment, the mouth lowered its head toward Ria, the language not being any of the language Ria wanted to hear.

He said, "Before...to Gaikoso...to the mountains."

"No one can escape it. You will always set foot on those mountains again. If you don't seek it out, it will come to you..."

Hahaha, hahahahahahaha!!!

The supernatural monster laughed in a low, sharp voice, and Ria heard strange laughter coming from many people, which seemed to be mixed with the cries of various animals.

These cries, a mixture of several hertz and hundreds of thousands of hertz of noise, were crammed into Ria's brain, and he watched as the facial muscles of the extraordinary creature before him contorted into a mixture of awe and resentment.

Such sounds can easily damage the brain, so Ria didn't hesitate to end the life of the supernatural creature with her tentacles, stuffing the remains into Little Swarth's body, planning to chop it into mincemeat and sell it to other supernatural creatures when she had some free time.

“No matter what happened in the Gekoso Mountains, we must never go there.” Ria was determined to stay away from those mountains, whose peaks were shrouded in mist like a mystery.

Thick fog still hung outside the car window, with occasional streaks of crimson light flashing through it. Ria even noticed a bald, pointed-eared supernatural creature with a dry, withered body that had appeared on the window at some point.

Its five toes were firmly attached to the glass surface like a gecko's, and the saliva flowing from its mouth was already drifting in the wind.

Ria moved closer to it, and it bared its teeth at Ria, its eyes filled with greed for food.
