They all call me an Outer God.
Chapter 555 Feed Him
Thanks to Ria's innate ability to read, otherwise he would probably have had to go to those people himself and register them for the college entrance examination for unemployed people.
"However, they, who usually love to join in the fun, actually refused to come along and came up with such a lame excuse. It seems that the pressure from Fuxing Chaos's true form is still too strong for them."
Ria carefully put away the letter and spent a rare peaceful and quiet breakfast time with little Swarth.
After that, he packed up all his belongings and took them with him.
Looking at the room, which was exactly the same as when she first arrived, Ria couldn't help but sigh, "Always staying in hotels isn't a solution. I wish I could have my own place someday."
The reality is that even if he bought a building, he wouldn't have time to stay in it every day.
But buying it and waiting for it to appreciate in value is also a good option.
The more Lia thought about it, the more feasible the plan seemed. However, he would have to wait until he had time to implement it. He needed to race against time to deal with the resurgence of the calamity. He had to put aside all the other miscellaneous matters for the time being, since no one could guarantee what a house would look like in the face of a natural disaster.
And so he left the hotel. The pedestrians on the street now looked much more normal than they had three days ago, and the people of the Order Association had truly done a great job in this matter.
The buildings were all restored to their original state, and even when Ria replaced the items, she couldn't achieve such a perfect effect. Their shapes were exactly the same as before, as if time had turned back.
"Wait, time rewind... time?"
Just as Ria realized this, she heard the familiar, gloomy voice in her mind again.
“Lia, my student.”
“Mentor…” Ria paused. He knew that his mentor’s two personalities were not yet fully unified. Forcing them to merge would only worsen his condition, and it was not impossible for him to lose control at that time.
But the mentor left on his own three days ago, and now that he has contacted me, his voice sounds unusually weak and unreal.
More importantly, the voice didn't sound like the original Ivand; it sounded more like his fallen side.
"How are you now?" Ria asked cautiously.
"Come see me."
"Okay, where are you?"
"The Order Society of Cranbea".
Time seemed to freeze for a moment. In that instant, Ria's mind flashed through the tragic image of his mentor being captured again after both of his personalities were injured in the battle, but Ivand quickly interrupted his thoughts.
"I stayed with the association voluntarily."
“Voluntary?” Ria was slightly puzzled. The grudge between the Order Association and the mentor was not something that could be resolved in a short time. Regardless of which personality of Him it was, He probably hated the Association to death, so how could He say something like “voluntary”?
It's quite patient of Him not to dismantle the association after He awoke.
But no matter how much Ria asked, there was no further response. Ria had no choice but to go to the Order Association of Cranbea with Little Swarth. His true identity was enough for him to run rampant in the association, so he was not worried about being detained.
At first, the sentry stationed outside stopped him, but soon after the sentry heard something on the walkie-talkie, his expression changed drastically and he let Ria pass.
Lia was able to enter the association's interior as she wished. The layout here was somewhat similar to an old military base. The outer layer was a large uninhabited area in the city, and the foundation made of many mysterious items ensured that ordinary people would never be able to find this place.
The interior is a lower level structure, leading deeper into air-raid shelters and numerous staircases. Armed personnel are stationed along the way, each armed and guarding a section, the level of vigilance significantly higher than before. Each person wears a metal double-gear badge on their chest, the insignia of an association member. The badge contains two pills within its recessed area: one to maximize adrenaline stimulation, temporarily numbing pain and pushing all physical states to their limits; the other is an instant-kill poison.
"Salute to you, sir."
As Ria stood at the door examining the people's attire, they saluted him. Ria smiled, then his lips fell as he returned the salute.
"It is I who should pay tribute to you."
The gatekeeper said, "Human civilization will never cease, and may order endure forever."
"May order endure forever, and may human civilization never cease."
He said this and then entered the headquarters of the Order Association without saying a word. He was greeted by a middle-aged, thin man with messy hair that looked like a bird's nest. The man had sparse stubble on his chin, wore thick black-rimmed glasses, and looked pale and gloomy.
But he was wearing a white lab coat and a name tag around his neck.
"Dr. Jack is in charge of research on containment objects and cloned containment objects."
"Hello! I've heard so much about you. You can just call me Jack."
"Jack? That's a good name."
Ria nodded: "At least three out of ten Enderus people share your name."
"Haha, many people have said that. You're really funny."
Jack chuckled hoarsely, “How shall I address you? Grand Inspector of the Order Association, Doctor of Extraordinary Biology Research, President of the Truth Society? Or Lord of Trade, the Disordered One of Meme Two, the Moving God?”
With each word he spoke, he could feel the surrounding air growing colder and colder, and every inch of his flesh and blood felt as if it were being subjected to a thousand pounds of pressure, yet he still uttered all those names, and Ria maintained that gentle and harmless expression.
"Just call me Kelcha. It seems that the higher-ups in the association know far more than I thought over the years."
"As you know, any investigator who survives more than a day is considered a senior, and the higher-ups are the elite of the elite who have fought their way up from the bloodbath."
Jack pointed to his head: "Of course we know why you've come. You want to see your mentor, and coincidentally, He is right here with us."
May I see Him?
"Of course, the mentor also hopes to meet with you, even though His current situation is not optimistic."
Dr. Jack scratched his head in frustration as he spoke, then led Ria to the place where his mentor was being held, talking to her as they walked: "He scared us when he escaped from prison on his own, but we didn't expect him to come back on his own."
“I’m in charge of looking after and studying Him. Ever since the mentor returned, He has locked Himself in a cage, refusing to eat or drink, and has even degenerated into a human form, making Him practically indistinguishable from those rioting containment objects…”
“Not human-like?” Ria turned to look at Jack, who sighed and led Ria around for a while before taking out a large piece of raw meat with bones and blood from the refrigerator in front of the iron gate.
"Yes, it's not human-shaped... He's inside right now, would you like to go in and feed Him?"
