Chapter 643 No escape

Chapter 643 No escape

It turned out that my mother had been at home all the time. Her body was under the bed in the bedroom. When the door was open just now, when I came home and sat at the desk doing my homework, and when I secretly looked at my cell phone, her body was looking at me.

No, maybe she was still alive at that time, and her eyes were looking at me for help. Or maybe she was in pain, but she didn't dare to make any sound. Maybe the murderer was right next to her, holding a knife to her neck, hurting her and threatening her that if she dared to make a sound, he would come out and kill me?

Tang Hanlu's brain was about to explode. Countless thoughts flooded into her mind, each one was extremely scary.

"But if the murderer is under the bed, what about the police outside the house?" Tang Hanlu held the phone tightly until her fingertips felt pain, and then she regained some rationality: "The bad guy disguised as a policeman is outside, and the man I saw when I got home from school was also outside the house. There should be no murderer in the house, unless there is more than one murderer, but he has no reason to specifically hold my mother hostage and hide under the bed."

Tang Hanlu looked towards the master bedroom, two thoughts colliding in her mind. She felt that the murderer should be outside the house, but she was also worried that the murderer was a pervert who liked to kill female students and was waiting for her to come home under the bed.

"When I was doing my homework, I completely ignored what was behind me. If the murderer was at home, he would have many opportunities to attack me, so... my home should be safe!"

Tang Hanlu encouraged herself. She grabbed the mop and, worried that her slippers would make noise, she simply walked barefoot to the door of the master bedroom step by step.

Tang Hanlu squatted down and grabbed the door handle. She made up her mind, and the moment she pushed the door open, she bent down and looked under the bed.

My heart was pounding. It was dark under the shaking sheets. There was no body, no murderer, just a ringing cell phone that had fallen between the cracks in the bed.

"Mom forgot to bring her cell phone?"

It was a false alarm and Tang Hanlu almost fainted. She walked over with the help of the wall and took the phone in her hand.

"An unfamiliar number? Where is the call coming from? Is my mother borrowing her colleague's phone to tell me something?" With anticipation, Tang Hanlu put the phone to her ear and pressed the answer button.

The green answer button slid upwards, and after the call was connected, there was deathly silence on the other end. After Tang Hanlu called several times, a strange man's voice appeared amid the rustling sound of electricity.

"I've been watching you."

He spoke each word with pause, as if staring at Tang Hanlu's voice. She didn't dare to listen to the man's second sentence and subconsciously hung up the phone and threw the phone on the bed.

"Who is watching me? Who is he? Why does he know my mother's phone number!" Tang Hanlu was really scared. She didn't even dare to stay in the master bedroom. She looked at the curtains, wardrobe, desk and other places and felt that someone might be hiding there.

"Why haven't the police come yet?" Tang Hanlu hurriedly left the master bedroom and called the police again.

The operator's voice reassured her that the police were already on the scene and would be here soon.

Coincidentally, at this moment, footsteps and sounds of fighting were heard in the corridor. Tang Hanlu couldn't hear clearly in the house, but it seemed like a conflict had broken out.

The security door inside was smashed hard, and a man was shouting, "You dare to call the police? You can't get away! After the police leave, I will kill you!"

The footsteps became more chaotic, and the man outside the door seemed to see the police enter the building from the corridor window, and he hurried into the elevator.

Of course Tang Hanlu wouldn't believe it easily. She ran to the balcony, just like she usually did when she would secretly play on the computer only after watching her mother leave the neighborhood.

Squatting beside the fence and looking downstairs, not long after, Tang Hanlu really saw a figure draped in a police uniform running out of the corridor, but he did not leave the community, but hid in Unit 2.

"He entered the building next door! The bad guy hasn't left!" Tang Hanlu felt the danger was in sight when she looked at her neighbor's balcony, so she quickly closed the windows.

"Wait for the police to come, they'll be here soon!"

Biting her fingers, Tang Hanlu was extremely anxious. She squatted on the balcony and waited for a few more minutes. Then she heard a thudding sound in her ears.

It wasn't a heartbeat, nor was there a knock on the door. Tang Hanlu turned around and saw a man standing on the balcony of the neighbor's house in Unit 2. The man was wearing a wrinkled police uniform, very tall, his face hidden in the dark, and his fingers were tapping gently on the window. "He's next door!"

Her heart seemed to skip a beat. Tang Hanlu had even forgotten to breathe and her mind went blank.

"Bang bang bang!"

The window of the neighbor's house was opened, and in the deep darkness, a wooden board was extending towards Tang Hanlu's balcony.

Her house was very high up and there was no burglar-proof net installed. The beautiful and elegant decorations on the outer walls of the building had now become a fulcrum for the murderer to climb over.

"He's coming, he's coming!"

The man pretending to be a policeman was holding a weapon in his hand and he was getting closer and closer to the house!
"The murderer is in Unit 2. I should be able to go downstairs faster than him now! I haven't found the key to my house, and the house is not safe! I can't stay here anymore, I have to go out and ask for help!"

Tang Hanlu no longer hesitated. Fear overwhelmed her rationality. She grabbed her cell phone and ran towards the security door of the living room without even bothering to put on her shoes.

"Snapped!"

The sound of knocking on the window glass sounded behind her. Tang Hanlu hurriedly turned the door lock with both hands and opened the door at the critical moment. She ran out of the house, not even daring to take the elevator, and rushed to the emergency passage!

The wooden security door opened, and Tang Hanlu suddenly heard the sound of something being chewed. With the help of the green light of the fire indicator light, she saw a woman in red clothes with flowers tattooed all over her body standing in the corner.

The woman turned her head little by little, and her whole face kept expanding!

"Child, child, my child!"

Tang Hanlu screamed, and something seemed to be melting silently in her brain. In a trance, she heard a man's voice.

"Number Two is not in the first layer of the dream, but she has layers of protection, obviously hiding a secret. We can only continue... interpreting the dream..."

……

Tang Hanlu shuddered and found that she had accidentally fallen asleep on the desk.

Shaking his numb arms, Tang Hanlu found that his forehead and hands were covered with cold sweat.

"It turned out to be a nightmare, and it felt like the real thing."

Her heartbeat slowed down slightly, and Tang Hanlu took out her mobile phone. The time displayed on the screen was 11 o'clock in the evening.

"Mom isn't home yet?"

The scene in the dream made Tang Hanlu feel scared just by recalling it. She turned her head and looked at the living room which was not on the lights. It was gloomy and dark.

Shaking her head to dispel those somewhat terrifying thoughts, Tang Hanlu decisively took out her cell phone. She wanted to know when her mother would come back. Now was the time when she needed her family the most.

After dialing the number, Tang Hanlu put the phone to her ear with full of anticipation, but at this moment, the familiar ringtone came from her mother's room in the master bedroom.
