Chapter 155 What's in the jar?

Chapter 155 What's in the jar?
"A famous horror film director?" Han Fei hesitated for a moment: "Director Jiang, actually I still want to develop in the direction of comedy. Rather than bringing horror to people and making them afraid, I prefer to see everyone's smiles."

"I know you enjoy seeing everyone smile, and everyone wants to see you smile too. However, at this stage, I suggest you stick to playing yourself in horror movies. Once you've earned enough money and no longer have to worry about making a living, you can try out more different types of dramas," Director Jiang pointed out the problem incisively.

"Playing himself?" Han Fei touched his face. "Okay, I'll have a good talk with him tomorrow."

Even after hanging up the phone, Han Fei was still unable to calm down. His first starring film was about to be released, and it would be a lie to say he wasn't nervous.

"Even if it's just to see tomorrow's movie, I have to survive in that school tonight."

After eating something casually, Han Fei found Li Xue and pestered her relentlessly, eventually learning some new fighting techniques from her.

These techniques are not complicated, but they are simple and deadly.

Some of the techniques used to generate power cannot be found online at all; they were summarized by Li Xue based on her own practical experience and were of great help to Han Fei.

If Han Fei had only mastered basic combat skills before, he is now starting to develop in the direction of professional combat skills.

At 3 p.m., Han Fei returned home.

After taking a shower, he began to read books related to education, and then watched many videos of classes taught by front-line teachers and their teaching experiences.

He truly immersed himself in the role of a teacher, even constantly giving himself positive self-affirmations.

"I want to be approachable, inclusive, patient, and respectful. I want to treat all children equally and make them see me as a father figure."

Han Fei practiced with the teacher in the video until night fell.

After drawing the curtains, Han Fei stood in front of the wall, having memorized all the information related to Yimin Private Academy.

Time ticked by, and Han Fei's mind drifted to the layout of the dormitory toilets. He took a deep breath and put on his gaming helmet.

A crimson tide poured down, violently impacting the city. Amidst the blood-red expanse, Han Fei opened his eyes.

A faint stench wafted past his nose, but Han Fei remained standing in the first-floor toilet stall, surrounded by complete silence.

A slight coolness emanated from the landlord's ring on his fingertip. Han Fei gently pushed open the toilet stall door and took out the red school uniform he had obtained earlier from his inventory.

As soon as the school uniform, shrouded in eeriness, was taken out, the darkness in the corner began to distort, as if a black snake were crawling out from there.

"You hid quite well." Xu Qin's little pet was extremely good at hiding, even fooling the unspeakable beings, let alone the ghosts and monsters in the school.

However, compared to its ability to hide, its other abilities are not so outstanding.

A "black snake" emerged from the corner and crawled onto the red school uniform, absorbing the yin energy and resentment within it. Its body began to slowly swell again.

"The little guy's ability is to devour, but it's too small right now to swallow anything too big." Han Fei wouldn't find those items containing yin energy very useful, so it would be better to feed them all to Xu Qin's pet. If it could recover quickly, Han Fei would have some ability to protect himself.

Letting the "black snake" absorb the yin energy from the school uniform, Han Fei quietly walked to the toilet door.

The broken glass shards on the ground have been cleaned up, and the broken window has been replaced with a new one. The only difference from last night is that there is now a sign on the dormitory manager's door that reads "No Trespassing."

The spirit altar that Han Fei had left under his bed was also found by the dormitory manager and thrown under a pile of confiscated high-powered electrical appliances.

"Last night, four girls died in the building, but everyone acted as if nothing had happened, and the apartment building doors were still locked."

The dormitory manager wasn't in the room, so Han Fei wanted to go inside to retrieve the altar containing the crying spirit, and also check if there were any spare keys for each room.

As soon as he pushed open the door to the dormitory manager's room, he heard a door in the middle of the first-floor corridor open.

Hiding behind the door and peeking, Han Fei noticed a sixteen or seventeen-year-old boy hunched over, sneaking towards the dormitory manager's room.

At first, the distance was quite far, and Han Fei couldn't see clearly, but as the child got closer, Han Fei immediately recognized him.

This child was the delinquent who jumped to his death at Yimin Private School. He was skin and bones, with a square face, big eyes, and hair that was half yellow and half black. He also had the word "hate" tattooed on his arm.

"How did he end up inside the dormitory building?"

The victim is approaching, and now that he has encountered him, Han Fei will naturally not let him go.

As the boy peered out of the dormitory manager's window, Han Fei also poked his head out.

When their eyes met, the boy was startled.

"Shh! Don't speak!" As the other person retreated, Han Fei grabbed their collar with one hand and covered their mouth with the other. This showed that he was very experienced and often did this kind of thing.

After the boy calmed down, Han Fei slowly let go of his hand.

"Dormitory...dorm supervisor? Why has it been changed?"

"It's not safe here. Let's go to the dormitory you just came out of and talk."

Han Fei placed the mourning altar into an electric hot pot, put the lid on, and then carried the hot pot out of the dormitory manager's room.

They returned to room 104 in the middle of the corridor, and Han Fei breathed a sigh of relief after the door was closed.

"Why do you have the key to this dormitory room?" Han Fei put the electric hot pot containing the altar under the bed and began to question the boy.

"I...I'm a student here, of course I have the key!" the boy insisted stubbornly.

“Your name is Zhang Guanxing, you are seventeen years old, and you dropped out of school inexplicably a year ago. You started hanging out with local youths near the school and even gave yourself the name Wild Dog.” Han Fei memorized all the deceased’s information: “I know you very well, and I hope you will stop lying.”

The boy was surprised that Han Fei knew so much. He shrank back, his expression slightly unnatural.

"Tell me how you got into the dormitory building? What are you doing here? Why do you have the key to this dormitory?" Han Fei's expression wasn't too stern, but it gave people a sense of authority without anger.

"What does it have to do with you?" The boy glanced at Han Fei; he seemed to dislike adults.

"Some bad things happened at this school. I'm a new teacher, and I have a duty to protect the safety of all students, including those who have previously studied here." Han Fei had made his point clear; he also wanted to protect the boy in front of him.

"Are you a new teacher?" The boy finally looked up and said hesitantly, "I used to live in this dormitory. I got a key from them. I'm not here to steal anything from the dormitory. I just want to come back occasionally because I really have nowhere to sleep."

"Nowhere to sleep?"

“After my parents divorced, my dad drank heavily. When he came home drunk, he would beat me and vomit everywhere. That wasn’t a home at all; even a garbage dump would be cleaner.” The boy covered the words tattooed on his arm.

"Then how did you get into the dormitory building?" Han Fei was more curious about this point. The dormitory building's main gate was locked, and all the dormitories on the first floor were equipped with security bars.

“My best buddy lives in room 201 on the second floor. I usually climb over the security bars to get to their dorm room first, and then sneak back.” The boy’s expression was a little strange, as if he was hiding something.

"Just say whatever you want to say. I'm your teacher, and I can help you."

"Actually, I'm trapped here now and can't get out." The boy slowly revealed the truth: "Just now, I was trying to steal the key from the dormitory manager."

"Trapped here? What do you mean? Can't you just climb down from the second floor?"

“My buddy had an accident, and it seems that the people in his dorm also…” The boy hesitated for a long time before finally saying, “They’re all dead.”

"Are they all dead?!"

"A while ago, my buddy found a jar somewhere on campus. After he brought the jar back to his dorm, he talked to it every night, and his grades improved dramatically." The boy's eyes showed a hint of fear.

“I initially thought he had started to study hard, but when I went to their dorm room later, I found that not only him, but everyone in their dorm was gathered around that jar.”

"Their faces were deathly pale as they stared into the jar and muttered something to themselves."

“At first I didn’t pay much attention, but when I went to their dorm room a few days later, I found that my buddy was gone! His three remaining roommates were still gathered around the jar.”

“I was scared, so after I ran out of their dorm room, I immediately called my buddy.”

"The call went through, and my buddy spoke normally, but there was a slight echo."
