As Inspector Megure and his men entered the amusement park to begin their investigation, the commotion at the confectionery museum quickly became public knowledge.

Several hundred meters away.

The groom, carrying his trading backpack, gazed at the bustling dessert museum from afar and couldn't resist picking up his phone to make a call.

"Something's happened at the amusement park!" he whispered to his client across the table. "A bunch of police have arrived, looks like there's been a murder! Our deal..."

"Don't rush." The drug dealer on the other end was a seasoned veteran; this wasn't the first time he'd encountered a murder during a deal.

Instead of panicking, he leisurely lit a cigarette and asked in a good mood, "Where is the murder scene?"

Ma Fu: "It's that newly built dessert museum."

The drug dealer chuckled, "Heaven is on my side."

Coachman: "Hmm?"

The drug dealer earnestly advised: "Didn't I just tell you? Places like this are crowded and chaotic. When the cops are short of targets, they'll plant a few plainclothes officers in the amusement park."

"These plainclothes officers may be useless, but they are still a destabilizing factor, however!"

He laughed and said, "Now that a murder has occurred, do you think those plainclothes officers will still sit idly by?"

The coachman suddenly realized: "You mean..."

The drug dealer nodded: "For murder cases, the crime scene is extremely important. The better it is preserved, the higher the chance of finding the killer—those cops will definitely go to the scene to maintain order. In other words, for us, this amusement park is cleaner and safer than ever before!"

The coachman relaxed: "I see!"

The drug dealer leisurely exhaled a puff of smoke: "By the time those idiots finish solving the case, it might not be until tomorrow. That'll be enough time for us to make countless deals. Today's deal continues. You can continue having fun at the amusement park, just don't go near the crime scene."

The coachman gratefully responded a few times and hung up the phone.

The drug dealer looked out the window, in a good mood, and muttered to himself, "I had nightmares all night yesterday. I was worried that something bad was going to happen... Heh, I almost forgot that dreams are the opposite of reality."

"If only every transaction involved a murder..."

……

"Ah!"

Inside the dessert museum, Conan rubbed his nose and suddenly sneezed.

"I have a feeling like someone's talking about me..." Conan looked around but didn't find anything unusual, so he composed himself and began to think about the case at hand:
"When the candy magician reported the other two suspects, neither of them refuted it, which shows that their conflict with the store manager was indeed true."

"As for the conflict between the candy magician and the store manager, it is true that it happened; I witnessed it with my own eyes."

"Each booth in this shop is divided in the middle, so when the three cake artists are working inside, they cannot see what is happening in the other booths. In addition, there is a big tree that blocks the candy magician's view outside."

"In other words, all three of them had the opportunity to commit the crime."

Outside the window, listening to the fake elementary school student's mutterings, Hashimoto Maya said with disdain, "After all that talk, it's as if he didn't say anything at all."

However, for a first-grade elementary school student to have this level of logic and thinking is already considered genius.

What's even more remarkable is that this kid actually pretends to be a detective, seriously analyzing Uzo's script in order to please his boss...

Hashimoto Maya's expression turned serious again: "As expected, she is a cunning competitor."

……

Meanwhile, the three suspects were unaware of the undercurrent of competition and were busy arguing with each other.

The tough-guy cake maker's gaze swept between his two colleagues before finally settling on the cake prince: "I remember you just said that after I got that call and went out, you took the cake to the garden to find the customer—but you took way too long to just go to the garden."

The Cake Prince said speechlessly, "You've never even been to our garden before. It's not only big, but there are also many plants to cover it up. I've already taken quite a while—but you are."

He retorted without holding back: "That phone call you received was such a coincidence, and you couldn't even say who called you. If you ask me, that's just a story you made up to prove your alibi."

The tough-guy pastry chef scoffed, "But in reality, I didn't get any alibi at all. Considering that fact, this phone call seems more like someone is framing me."

The Cake Prince shrugged: "Besides being framed, there's another possibility: you're bad at math and miscalculated the time."

The two were arguing fiercely when the candy magician, watching them, joined the fray: "No need to argue anymore. Once we find the murder weapon, we'll know which of you is the real culprit."

Looking at her calm and composed demeanor, the two men said unhappily, "The one who most wants the manager to die in this store is actually you, isn't it?"

As Inspector Megure took notes, he realized the conversation was becoming increasingly pointless, so he called over a junior officer to take notes while he himself, notebook in hand, slipped away to the side.

He decisively ran towards Jiangxia: "Brother Jiangxia, what do you think?"

Jiang Xia seemed a little hungry and was engrossed in admiring the desserts on the table. Upon hearing this, he popped a candy into his mouth, wiped his hands, and said, "That candy magician lady is right. The most important thing now is to find the murder weapon."

He pointed to the dessert shop: "Judging from the timeline, the murderer didn't have time to throw the murder weapon far away. The blunt weapon that killed the shop owner's wife must still be nearby."

Officer Chiba happened to run over and, upon hearing this, couldn't help but sigh: "We searched inside and out, but we couldn't find anything that looked like the murder weapon."

Sonoko Suzuki, who was also joining in the fun next to Jiang Xia, heard this and stroked her chin like a detective: "Have you ever thought that perhaps the murder weapon has already been eaten!"

Inspector Megure was stunned for a moment, and the image of someone chewing on a hammer flashed through his mind: "Ms. Suzuki..." Did you break your head with a hammer?

Sonoko Suzuki noticed his suspicion and gestured towards the dessert shop next door: "Didn't you notice? The decorations inside and outside this house are actually made of desserts! -- By that logic, the murder weapon might also be made of desserts. Since it's a dessert, it can be eaten!"

Inspector Megure was actually somewhat convinced: "That... seems to make sense."

The tough-guy cake decorator frowned upon hearing this: "Who would eat a blood-stained cake?"

Sonoko Suzuki raised her head and retorted, "That's better than going to jail! Just think of it as being drizzled with strawberry jam."

Hashimoto Maya thought of the strawberry pie she had for breakfast and felt nauseous: "..." What on earth am I competing with...?
