However, things didn't go as planned, and the process of arresting the person was not as smooth as expected.

The thief wasn't as simple as a typical petty thief; in fact, he was incredibly slippery, especially considering the disorderly wanderings of pedestrians in the amusement park...

"Why are there so many people in this lousy place!" After nearly bumping into another leisurely strolling citizen, a police officer groaned, "Don't these tourists go to work?!"

A colleague next to him had a flash of inspiration and suddenly came up with a clear plan for the capture: "If we can't catch those two fake shop assistants, then we'll chase that bear! — Those two fake shop assistants have a car, and they're wearing uniforms, so they can easily blend in with the other employees, but that bear is different!"

"This guy is wearing a mascot costume, and his movements are restricted by this heavy thing, so he definitely can't run fast. Even if he wanted to take off the mascot costume, he couldn't take it off while running—if we can't catch people, surely we can catch this bear?"

With just a couple more people, a mere clumsy teddy bear can be easily captured!

Upon hearing the suggestion in their earpieces, the police officers' eyes lit up, and they turned around to begin their pursuit of the plush bear.

—If we catch the person inside, we can get him to reveal his two accomplices. Then we can secretly set up a few checkpoints at the amusement park entrances and exits, recognizing faces one by one. We won't have to worry about finding them then.

"If those two accomplices are a bit dim-witted and don't realize that the teddy bear has already fallen into our hands, then we can take the teddy bear's phone, pretend that he hasn't been caught yet, and lure our accomplices to a specific place."

After imagining this scene, the police officers' eyes lit up, and they became highly motivated.

"Charge! Catch the bear!!"

A group of people suddenly changed direction and rushed towards the teddy bear from all directions.

"?" The teddy bear turned its head and glanced at it, then remained silent for a moment before pressing its headgear down and silently quickening its pace.

"Ha, a last-ditch effort." Officer Horita, who was charging ahead, sneered. "Even if you can run faster than us now, how many seconds can you keep it up wearing such heavy clothes?"

The police officers remained calm and waited for the plush bear to slow down and collapse under their sweatpants.

To catch up.

To catch up.

Continue to catch up.

...After running across most of the amusement park, just when they were about to collapse from exhaustion, the bear showed no signs of slowing down and seemed to be rushing further and further away.

A group of police officers were dumbfounded.

...This doesn't make sense!
The plan doesn't seem to be written like this!

"That bear... it runs so fast!"

Finally, someone couldn't help but ask, "Is there an athlete inside?"

"How is this possible? We can't even outrun it!"

Morale plummeted.

Suddenly, Officer Shiratori's voice came through the communication channel.

"Don't panic." Shiratori Renzaburo chuckled softly. "He can't escape."

Upon hearing this, the police officers looked at each other, then at the teddy bear that was speeding away, completely bewildered.

No matter how you look at it, this bear doesn't seem to be unable to escape; on the contrary, it looks like it's about to make its way to safety.

Among a group of muscular colleagues, Officer Oda is considered one of the more quick-witted ones.

He pondered Officer Shiratori's words for a moment, then observed carefully for a while, and suddenly exclaimed with delight: "Officer Shiratori is right, it's a dead end ahead! He can't escape?"

"Ok?"

Colleagues looked over, puzzled, surveyed the terrain, and finally, a few beats later, were filled with surprise.

At first glance, the space in front of you is open and you can run freely.

But in reality, what lies ahead is the side of a fairytale castle—to the right is a wide moat, not very deep, but if a plush bear dares to jump in, the absorbent cotton will immediately teach him how to behave like a bear.

Officer Shiratori's reliable voice rang out on the channel: "I have already laid an ambush at the castle gate. You can drive him forward as you see fit."

“If he turns left and runs this way, I'll take him down. If he runs to the right and jumps into the river, he'll be courting death. But if he goes forward…”

Needless to say, the officers had already spotted the towering fairytale castle wall ahead, which was at least seven or eight meters high.

After running for so long, my lungs are about to burst, but the moment to catch the bear in the jar has finally arrived!

The group of officers, who had been staggering about, suddenly perked up and regained their strength as if in a final burst of energy. Officer Oda remarked to his colleagues in surprise, "I thought Officer Shiratori was just giving random instructions, but I didn't expect it to have a strategic purpose!"

“Of course.” Officer Miyazaki pretended that he had expected this. “As expected of the commander of our Sato Miwako defense line!”

Officer Horita, panting heavily, rubbed his hands together and said, "This bear is incredibly fast! It's managed to run away from us for so long... Once we catch it, we'll all swarm it and crush it into a pulp!"

"Oh!"

The police officers, their voices trembling with fear, leisurely chased after the teddy bear, cornering it all the way to the foot of the castle.

"Surrender!" Officer Oda shouted. "Are you going to run away...???"

The plush bear ran wildly to the base of the wall without stopping. To the bewilderment of the police officers, it suddenly jumped up and started climbing up the wall.

The fairytale castle is not just a bare wall. There are some protruding bricks painted pink and some cute and childlike decorations on the wall. Originally just decorations, they have now been transformed into climbing props under the bear's paw.

"..."

A group of policemen stopped in their tracks, stood at the base of the wall, and looked up in disbelief.

...It feels like watching a kung fu and fantasy movie.

That doesn't make sense.

How did those soft bear paws manage to grip the wall? Unless the person was incredibly strong and crushed that entire layer of plush cotton into a sheet, but... but no matter what, this scene is just too surreal!

"Inspector Shiratori," Officer Miyazaki said blankly into the microphone in his collar, "What do we do now?"

Officer Shiratori, holding binoculars in the distance: "..."

Is that a bear? Or is that Superman?!

Where did criminals of this caliber even come from?!

“No wonder he dared to kidnap Jiang Xia, this guy does have some skills.” He snorted coldly, but could only remain calm. “Immediately contact the staff to guard the castle gates and check them one by one.”

That's what they said, but Officer Shiratori didn't hold out much hope.

—If it can move with incredible speed while wearing a mascot costume, traversing walls seven or eight meters high as if it were flat ground, then once the teddy bear lands on the other side and takes off its costume, leaving the castle will be a piece of cake, right?

However, speaking of mascot costumes...

Officer Shiratori had a sudden inspiration: "Oda, go ask who's dressed up as the bear at the amusement park."

—Although the person who registered and the person currently inside may not be the same person, what if they are?
If you encounter a clumsy thief, wouldn't you be able to apprehend him on the spot by following the registration information?
