Chapter 3878 A True Rebirth

As he prepared to take the cat out, Shad thought of Mia's performance during the Battle of Fate.

Although, according to Ellie's description, the cat didn't offer any help that night except for setting its tail on fire to keep everyone warm, Shad thought it was quite remarkable that Mia was able to "travel" such a long way and return safely.

"Good morning, Shad. Is this a gift you prepared for little Beren?"

As she spoke, little Beren giggled, and everyone in the room laughed along. Ellie asked Shad:

"How long has it been since she grew up?"

This is common sense, but when Ellie was with Chloe, the witches around her never discussed newborns.

The old nun answered the question on behalf of Shad:

"It will probably take about fifteen or sixteen years for him to grow taller than you."

So Ellie looked at the child with sparkling eyes:
"So fast! I'll come find you again in fifteen or sixteen years. Grow up well and eat lots of apples!"

A pure white light then enveloped little Beren's body; this was the blessing of the unicorn and the power of the chosen one. Although Ellie hadn't specifically cast a spell, her two words alone were enough to ensure little Beren's safety and well-being before he entered the extraordinary world.

The old nun, who was worried about Ellie holding the baby, eventually took little Beren from Ellie's arms. Shad and Claire then discussed with Mr. Brooklyn the future arrangements for little Beren.

This child will probably spend his entire childhood in the church, but at least he won't have to worry about food and drink here, so it's not necessarily a bad thing.
