Chapter 69 Wanli Questions Zhang Juzheng

Chapter 69 Wanli Questions Zhang Juzheng

After Zhang Juzheng finished playing Qi Jiguang's story, Zhu Yijun ordered Zhang Hong with a somber face, "Show me the memorial of Fu Yingzhen, the censor of Henan Province!"

Zhang Hong handed over Fu Yingzhen's memorial to Zhang Juzheng after claiming it was the right one.

It turned out that on December 21st of the third year of Wanli, shortly after the case of Wu Qingbo was dealt with, Fu Yingzhen made three remarks in sharp terms.

The main content is to ask Zhu Yijun to be in awe of the pure monarchy, to pay rent and taxes to keep the people in poverty, and to advocate the way of speech to reduce loyalty.

"The minister heard that this year the thunder shook Duanmen's door, and the earthquake occurred in the capital's direct province, no less than several times... Although the ministers and workers, big and small, have neglected their duties, I have never seen your majesty repairing a word to return God's will, but nothing happened. It’s really not enough to be afraid of the change of the sky! It’s not pure if you want to respect the sky!”

"Using the cabinet examination to pass the six subjects, the cabinet ministers are separated from the center and disturb the local area. This is not an old thing of the ancestors. Today we cannot accept the advice of the ministers, and we must carry it out. How willing to follow the immoral move? It is true that the ancestors are not lawful! It must also be that the heart of the Fazu is not pure!"

"My minister has recently heard that if the gentry and freshmen are not allowed to discuss politics, otherwise they will be deposed as the people. How can it be said that people's words are not enough! It is not pure to accept good words!"

"Wang Anshi used these three deficiencies to mislead the Song Dynasty. Your Majesty must take a deep warning..."

Zhang Juzheng looked at Fu Yizhen's memorial and recited it silently in his heart, while his hands trembled.

Seeing this, Zhu Yijun said: "As soon as Fu Yizhen's original book came up, I didn't let anyone send it to the cabinet. Instead, I asked Si Li to stay in it. I came to chat with my husband today about the content. This Fu Yizhen obviously put Both I and my husband scolded me, and I scolded me openly, while mocking my husband as Wang Anshi."

Zhu Yijun knew that before modern times, after the fall of the Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Anshi had always been a treacherous official in the eyes of the world.

Because starting from the Southern Song Dynasty, the scholar-bureaucrats put the blame for Jingkang's disaster on Wang Anshi.

And it still exists to this day.

Even less.

Because on the surface it does seem that Wang Anshi's reforms in the Northern Song Dynasty intensified the party struggle, and it was the new party that dominated the court at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty. In addition, the scholar-bureaucrats were mainly conservative, especially after the rise of Neo-Confucianism. Wang Anshi was gradually denounced as a traitor, but they all selectively ignored the responsibility of the two emperors of Huiqin and who promoted Cai Jing, who was prime minister in the late Northern Song Dynasty.

But no matter what, in today's Daming, to say who is Wang Anshi is to scold someone.

It can also be seen from this that it was not easy to dare to reform in ancient China.

If you are not careful, you will be infamous for thousands of years.

So it takes a lot of courage to reform in ancient times.

Perhaps in the eyes of the vast majority of scholar-bureaucrats in this era, it is better to wait for the revolution of the bottom people or the invasion of foreigners, and then change the dynasty, and the elites like themselves will still be reused, and they should not choose to heal the long-standing dynasty.

Therefore, Zhu Yijun had to admit that Zhang Juzheng dared to stand up and reform the system, it was indeed a lot of courage.

It's just that the bureaucracy doesn't accept their favor.

Although Zhang Juzheng is much more moderate than some more radical reformers, he still hopes that the entire bureaucratic group will understand his painstaking efforts and be willing to reform the system with him.

Although some scholar-officials among the bureaucrats of the Ming Dynasty still have the common people in their hearts, are driven by the traditional Confucian sense of social responsibility, and are willing to take on this sense of responsibility, they will appreciate his affection.

But this does not mean that the entire bureaucratic group will accept his favor,

This is the same as Wang Anshi's reforms in the Northern Song Dynasty. There are only a few people who are really willing to cooperate with his reforms, and most of them are just playing with the wind.

Turn the words back.

Because the attributes of feudal landlords tend to be conservative, the bureaucratic group as a whole is unwilling to reform, so it is at this time that the three deficiencies thought is regarded as an "incorrect thought" to criticize Zhu Yijun and Zhang Juzheng.

It can be said that Fu Yizhen either really believed this because of his own class attributes, or he deliberately and directly judged the three deficiencies as "incorrect ideas" and used them as a weapon to attack the reform.

The so-called three deficiencies thought is that the changes of the sky are not enough to be feared, the ancestors are not enough to follow the law, and the words of others are not enough to be sympathetic.

This is the spiritual pillar of Wang Anshi's reform, and also the spiritual pillar of some scholar-bureaucrats who insisted on reform after him. It is also one of the mainstream Confucian thoughts, that is, Xinxue.

You know, once Wang Anshi worshiped the Confucian Temple just because the new learning still had a relatively high status in the field of Confucianism.

But later he was withdrawn by Song Lizong for the reason: "Wang Anshi said that the destiny is not enough to fear, the ancestors are not enough to follow the law, and people's words are not enough to be sympathetic. As a sinner for all ages, how should I worship Confucius in the temple? Depose him!"

It is precisely because of the great prosperity of Neo-Confucianism and the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty that the monarchs also consciously denied this kind of thinking, so this kind of thinking has declined.

It was only after Wang Yangming advocated that the scholar-bureaucrats break out of the shackles of Neo-Confucianism, inquire into their hearts, and conduct independent thinking, did a group of scholar-bureaucrats willing to follow Wang Anshi's new thought emerged.

But in any case, until now, this kind of thinking is still attacked by the dominant Neo Confucianism as heresy and obscenity, and is regarded as incorrect thinking. Therefore, whoever has this thinking and who uses it to teach the emperor is a traitor!

Naturally, Zhu Yijun wanted to completely revive the new ideas, at least not to be regarded as incorrect ideas.

Otherwise, if Confucianism, which essentially imprisons all people in the world, is allowed to continue, it will only make China's ideological civilization not only fail to progress but instead remain in a backward stage.

Because this kind of thinking originated in the pre-Qin slave society and was beneficial to the feudal landlords, so if we want to make the society dominated by this kind of thinking last long, we can only let the main ethnic groups in this society have slave thoughts and be slaves. .

If China continues like this, the best result is to find a Hu Yi from the surrounding area who has the foundation of a foreign regime as the master, so as to ensure the long-term stability of this ideologically dominated society.

Because people of the same race are masters, they are also monarchs, and because there is no foreign aristocratic group that can naturally check and balance with the Han feudal landlords, it is difficult to curb the destruction of the entire social foundation by the Han feudal landlords.

In short, either the Manchus were invited to enter the customs as in history, or the foreigners were invited to be the masters of the Han people, or all of them were invited to be the masters, otherwise there would be no other ending.

Unless the idea of wanting to be someone else's slave master and also wanting to be someone else's slave is dug out from the root.

In addition, what Zhu Yijun had to admit was that this Fu Yizhen would rather scold himself as the emperor than to scold Zhang Juzheng for misleading the emperor.

Just scold yourself for being immoral!
After all, no matter whether it was Jingyan or Shichao, I was very lenient and respectful, so that I made him mistakenly think that the emperor can be bullied, but he can scold casually like Ming Renzong and Ming Xiaozong, and Zhang Juzheng seems to be even less forgiving. He didn't dare to scold Zhang Juzheng directly, but just scolded Zhang Juzheng in a roundabout way. He was imitating Wang Anshi's misleading Song Shenzong to mislead the current emperor, so that the current emperor lost his virtue.

It can be seen that the Confucianism-dominated slave society of Daming is not perfect enough, so that he, the master, can still be scolded by the slaves underneath.

It is more suitable for such a society to ask a foreigner to be the master.

Now after Zhu Yijun said this to Zhang Juzheng, Zhang Juzheng also pondered for a while and said: "This ignorant and pedantic person, if you talk about his crimes, he will die. Your Majesty only needs to be dismissed from his post and sent to the army, and some severe punishments should be given to the hearts of the people. No one dares to speak falsely. Whether the country's political affairs are lenient or strict, it is your Majesty's opinion to act benevolently and righteously."

"Mr. is still trying to persuade me to show benevolence to them! But sir, have you thought about it, even if this Fu Yizhen is just pedantic and ignorant, is the whole party behind him who opposes the reform just pedantic and ignorant, rather than sinister and treacherous?!"

Zhu Yijun said with a sneer, and questioned Zhang Juzheng, and said: "They are already using the three inadequacies to completely deny the foundation of the entire reform. Why do you still have illusions about them?!"
