Chapter 1687 The Increasingly Chaotic Situation
Chapter 1687 The Increasingly Chaotic Situation
World of Warcraft is composed of six fundamental forces, which are the basic rules of this world.
The six fundamental forces are Order, Chaos, Life, Death, Light, and Void, and each force has its own 'representative'.
If Sargeras and his Burning Legion represent the chaotic Force, then Xerath, the Mother of Light, and her Legion of Light represent the light Force.
After the fall of Argus, some of the Draenei's finest warriors chose to follow the Mother of Light, Xera.
These warriors call themselves Lightforged, and blessed by the Mother of Light, they are free to use powerful Holy Light spells.
Guided by Xera, this legion of Lightforged traversed the stars, battling the Burning Legion on various planets.
They actively welcomed races that survived the Burning Legion's expeditions and encouraged warriors from these races to join the ranks of the Lightforged.
Over tens of thousands of years of expeditions, the power of the Holy Light Legion has gradually increased.
“This Zera is no ordinary person. She is one of the original Naaru, formed from the power of light at the beginning of the universe. Moreover, she also possesses the technology of Lightforging.”
Heather leaned back on her throne, watching the gleaming, holy-light-filled spaceship speed towards Azeroth, and said casually:
"This person firmly believes that her prophecies are absolutely correct, and likes to make everything and every living being develop according to her plan, and will not allow any disobedience or deviation."
The Light-Defying Bird looked curiously at the large screen: "Wow, this old woman sounds rather annoying. Is she a condensation of holy light?"
Nanami shook her head slightly: "In my opinion, she is more like an energy aggregate born from the blessing of the Holy Light. She thinks she can represent the Holy Light, but in reality, she is nothing more than a tiny fragment reflecting the Holy Light."
She then looked at Heather and said, "Do you need my help? Due to mission restrictions, we can't attack the Holy Light Legion and Zera indiscriminately, but I can offer some small assistance to the Holy Light Legion's enemies."
"Then it's up to you, great director." Heather gestured for Nanami to begin her performance.
Nanami nodded slightly, and then her figure disappeared.
Meanwhile, at the top of the Tomb of Sargeras, Gul'dan's form had undergone a tremendous change.
He used to be hunched over and his limbs were somewhat deformed, but now he was extremely tall and strong. His once twisted spine and limbs were now healthy and powerful, and his entire body was burning with demonic energy. The demonic magical energy surging within him alone was enough to make even the most powerful demon lords submit.
Gul'dan looked up at the Holy Light ship rapidly approaching from the other end of the space tunnel, a look of confusion on his face: "What is that?"
Argos, the Soul Reaper who was one rank lower than him, immediately replied:
"That is the Holy Light Legion led by Zera, the Mother of Light, Lord Gul'dan."
Long ago, the Legion of the Light knew the location of Argus through Xera's prophetic spells. Argus was the Burning Legion's stronghold, and these servants of the Light dreamed of conquering it.
But Lord Kil'jaeden's meticulous planning caused the Legion of the Light to fail countless times. Each time, they were severely weakened, cowering in a corner like wild dogs licking their wounds before continuing to bark uselessly at the great Legion.
Not long ago, Lord Kil'jaeden once again inflicted heavy losses on the Legion of Light in the Argus region.
They thought these stray dogs would learn their lesson, but it seems the resistance from Azeroth has given them a glimmer of hope in their desperate situation.
Should we organize a fleet to intercept the Light Legion's starship Zenidal?
"No... I want to use them to test my power."
Gul'dan raised his right hand and slowly rubbed his fingers together. Suddenly, his five fingers spread open, and emerald green magic flames burst forth from his palm, quickly forming a green vortex.
The evil energy contained in that demonic flame was so powerful that the Soul Reaper Argos could barely stand. What terrifying demonic power!
In the eyes of the Soul Reaper, Gul'dan's displayed power is enough to definitively place him as the strongest being after Kil'jaeden of the Burning Legion.
Gul'dan stretched his right hand back and then blasted it towards the space tunnel in the sky!
The green fel fire transformed into a blazing fel meteor, leaving a long trail as it shot toward Zenidal.
Just as the fel magic was about to strike Zenidal, the Holy Light ship suddenly erupted with countless dazzling cross-shaped spots of light. Surrounded by these spots, the ship vanished instantly and reappeared tens of kilometers away.
The fel meteor missed its target, roaring through the space tunnel with a trail of light before being caught by Argus's gravity and plummeting downwards.
The Soul Reaper Argos hurriedly reminded them, "Zenidar is the base of the Holy Light Legion, and also a warp ship. As long as Zera foresees the impending attack and supplies the ship's engines with sufficient Holy Light energy, this ship can perform a space warp in a short time. We need to... to..."
His words came to an abrupt halt, and he simply stared at the scene before him, his mouth dry.
A massive shower of fel meteors hurtled toward Zenidal, sealing off the entire surrounding area for tens of kilometers.
Gul'dan, bathed in fel energy like a demon lord, continued to create a meteor shower with fel energy while turning to look at Argos the Soul Reaper: "...What do you mean, 'renew'? Think it through before you speak."
Argos, the Soul Reaper, dared not speak and immediately knelt on one knee to show his submission.
Faced with such a massive meteor shower, Zenidal was clearly panicked, frantically moving back and forth. But the energy consumed by the jump was enormous, and coupled with the overly dense fiery meteor shower, several fiery meteors soon struck Zenidal.
The Holy Light Starship was immediately smashed into a golden defensive barrier, which barely blocked the first and second Evil Fire Meteors. The third one tore through the Holy Light barrier without hesitation and slammed heavily onto the Zenidal ship.
A barrage of fiery meteors slammed Zenidal from the sky, sending it plummeting at an angle towards the sea south of the Tomb of Sargeras.
The warriors of Azeroth were too preoccupied to deal with the mysterious reinforcements who made a grand entrance but were defeated in less than 10 seconds; they were already overwhelmed with their own problems.
The Naaru fleet, led by Tempest Keep, was surrounded by dozens of Legion warships, while Velen and the Naaru A'dal were also targeted by Kil'jaeden.
The meteors he summons can easily destroy a starship, and the shadow and fire magic he unleashes is far more powerful than that of the Eredar twins, not to mention the shadow arrow rain that is enough to obscure the holy light and makes Velen and Adar struggle with all their might to resist it—[Darkness of a Thousand Souls]!
Tyrande and Malfurion, who had already defeated Hakkar the Hound King, arrived to support Velen, but they too were caught in a fierce battle.
Kil'jaeden's magic was far beyond his capabilities, coupled with his incredibly resilient demonic body, and a constant stream of demon generals joining his ranks to fight to the death for him. Even Tyrande, Malfurion, and Velen, the strongest faction leaders in Azeroth, were gradually falling into an irreversible predicament.
"Viren, is this the future you've chosen after betraying your compatriots and friends? Weak! Ridiculous! So insignificant!"
Kil'jaeden roared in victory, raising his hand once more, as endless shadows gathered in his palm.
He will use the Darkness of a Thousand Souls to end all of this! No one can stop his magic!
boom! !
Just as the Thousand Souls of Darkness was about to be unleashed, a massive bluish-white beam cannon struck Kil'jaeden from afar!
The closest Eredar twins were instantly vaporized before they could even utter a cry of alarm.
Like the heavy whistle of a lion, the Alliance flagship Leo continued to fire its main guns to suppress Kil'jaeden, forcefully breaking into the battlefield.
