There are also many textual research experts on Red Studies believe that this is a false finger.

That is, Shenjing just means the capital of the country.

But look at the following article, once Grandma Liu entered the Rongguo Mansion, Grandma Liu and her son-in-law Gouer said: "...Although we live away from the city now, we will eventually be under the feet of the emperor. In Chang'an City, money is everywhere. It's a pity that no one will take it. It's no use dancing at home."

Looking at the following article, Wang Xifeng took power over Tikan Temple once, "...Lai Wanger knew it in her heart, and hurried to the city to find the master's husband, and under the guise of Jia Lian's order, he repaired a book and came to Chang'an County overnight. If the capital of the country is in Beijing, and the distance from Beijing to Xi'an is more than a thousand kilometers away, good guy, Lai Wanger will be exhausted to death.

Later, words such as "Daming Palace" point to Chang'an.

Therefore, there is no doubt that the capital city in Dream of Red Mansions should be in Chang'an.

So what's going on in Beijing?
The school of research on the Red Chamber believes that the Dream of the Red Chamber is Xueqin's family affairs, and the story of the Red Chamber alludes to the affairs of the Kang Yong Dynasty.

But I have always had reservations, let's not talk about it for now.

As for the Beijing flavor in the text, everyone may have forgotten that Xueqin was from the Qing Dynasty and lived in Beijing in his later years, so the choice of words and sentences naturally revealed it.

Chang'an is the capital of my country when I write this book, but I have never been to Chang'an once.

Of course, at the beginning of the Red Chamber, it is stated that neither the dynasty nor the country can be tested. To put it bluntly, it is an empty world in itself, so don't take it too seriously.

But judging from the presentation of the original text, the fictional capital of the country should be in Chang'an.

The above are actually not very important. I put the country's capital in Chang'an just to facilitate the fictional troubled times.
