Chapter 1213 The Third Era
In the Yanhuang Era, Fifth Era, August 20, 2213, freshmen enroll at the Comprehensive University of the Temple of War Region.
The university is built in the void outside the continent, surrounded by layers of void ripples.
To finally get into university, you need to overcome these obstacles one by one.
Zhang Guangmin rubbed his hands together, feeling the fluctuations in the void ahead, a slight sense of unease creeping into his heart.
Mo Yongfeng was also rubbing his hands together, then turned to look at Zhang Guangmin, "Old Zhang, how confident are you?"
Looking at the overwhelming aura around him, Zhang Guangmin took a deep breath: "I'd say I'm about 30% confident. I've only just reached a cultivation level of 20.0, barely meeting the adult standard."
Mo Yongfeng sighed, "It's so difficult. Last year, I was supposed to reach the 20.0 realm at the age of 100, but this year I've reached the 20.0 realm before the age of 80, which is 20 years ahead of schedule."
I heard that the cultivation method is still being iterated upon, with the ultimate goal of reaching level 20.0 before the age of 50.
Zhang Guangmin grinned: "Didn't you say you were against involution? This is anti-involution? Reaching level 20.0 at fifty? What cultivation system is this involutionary!"
This is equivalent to reaching the realm of a true god at age 50, or reaching the realm of transcending tribulation at age 50.
Cultivators who reach the Foundation Establishment stage by age 50 are all unparalleled geniuses. Something's wrong with our Yanhuang civilization, absolutely wrong!
Mo Yongfeng shrugged. "Fine, let's just push it. Push it as hard as we can. It's not bad now. Even if we can't get into a comprehensive university, we still have a junior college."
The entrance exam is quite difficult. The admission method for the Comprehensive University in the Temple of War region is: anyone who passes a unified exam and reaches the designated score can come here to compete for admission on-site.
This year's enrollment quota is 1200 people, first come, first served, until all places are filled.
This unique method of admission has been practiced for over two thousand years and has gained widespread recognition, mainly because it is open and relatively fair.
Zhang Guangmin and Mo Yongfeng squeezed into the crowd. After a difficult struggle, they barely passed the test with the lowest score.
After the two passed the test, a resounding bell tolled throughout the heavens and earth, signaling the end of the examination. Those who remained, no matter how skilled or learned, were no longer accepted. This test assessed not only ability but also "luck."
Afterwards, the new students who passed the test entered the plaza, where there stood a near-perfect human sculpture. After just one glance, the two immediately stopped and stared at it silently. Around the sculpture, everyone who had passed the test was also observing it.
To be precise, it's not about observing the sculpture, but rather "contemplating" it.
This human figure sculpture is named "Finite Perfection".
It's not perfect, it's limited perfection.
The sculpture is modeled after Chu Fei, but has been modified. Every university has a sculpture like this.
Long ago, when Chu Fei first began his cultivation and entered Dawn Academy, he learned a little secret—Buddhist transmission has three levels: the initial level is worshipping Buddha (images), the intermediate level is Buddhist scriptures, and the advanced level is the true scripture, which is wordless. Within religions, the worship of sculptures, images, and totems is widespread. At its core, this is part of the so-called "teaching by example" or "teaching by words." (Chapter 104)
The core theory is simple: perfect sculptures, paintings, totems, and other tangible existences influence the "observer effect," allowing lower-level practitioners (believers, etc.) to be subtly elevated through the worship of sculptures.
Of course, this refers to genuine spiritual practice, not mere imitation or deception for the sake of fame and fortune.
The same principle applies to these sculptures. The difference is that these new sculptures are more scientific and more perfect. These sculptures are built directly from an atomic perspective, infinitely approaching perfection. Combined with some groundbreaking technologies, they evoke profound insights at a single glance.
Not only the sculptures, but also the surrounding buildings and decorations are meticulously designed. Everything you see here embodies the "Tao."
However, there are also problems. The first is "precision". These creations are at most accurate to the atomic scale, so they are "finitely perfect".
Furthermore, atoms are unstable and are constantly in motion at the microscopic level. Generally, after about ten years, their precision will decrease to a level that can no longer bear the weight of the "Tao," at which point they must be scrapped and remanufactured.
Fortunately, with the rapid iteration of big data and science and technology, sculptures are generally outdated every three to five years.
The so-called "Tao" is actually a mathematical formula. The sculptures here contain countless mathematical formulas and data, such as the golden ratio, the silver ratio, and pi. The combination of various formulas and data forms a kind of "creation" Taoist rhythm—which is actually a simulation.
In other words, the university square is a "simulated creation scene" that allows students to experience the atmosphere of 25.0 and beyond in advance.
Zhang Guangmin and Mo Yongfeng pondered for a long time, took a deep breath, and both felt the gap between themselves and the "sages", but also had some vague insights into their future practice and learning.
After many students came to their senses, the comprehensive university of the War God Temple region began its entrance speech. The principal was Wang Changyuan, the former Minister of Education of the War God Temple, who had also personally welcomed Chu Fei on his first visit to the War God Temple.
Wang Changyuan stood in the void, with a magnificent scroll unfolding behind him, and his powerful voice echoed in the sky above the academy: "Students, first of all, congratulations on being admitted to the War God Temple Regional Comprehensive University. Our university is one of the top 100 universities in the Yanhuang Civilization and one of the universities in the Ziwei Project."
The so-called Ziwei Project means Ziwei Sage; we want to cultivate our own Ziwei Sage.
And each of you has the potential to become a Purple Star Sage.
The Ziwei Project began in the Fourth Era, in 7017, the year we, under the guidance of our mentor Chu Fei, annihilated the invading army of eight million saints from the Superego faction. 5196 years have passed since then.
The Fourth Era was the most turbulent period for the Yanhuang Civilization. At the beginning of the Fourth Era, we formally established our Big Data Cultivation System. In 1424, we first ventured into the Inner World, and in 1547, we rescued the Heavenly Evolution Daoist, obtaining some Big Data Cultivation data from another ancient civilization for reference.
However, rescuing Tianyan Daozun also brought us an unprecedented crisis. In 2776 of the Fourth Era, the Yanhuang Federation disintegrated, followed by a long period of disaster.
It wasn't until the year 3800 of the Fourth Age that Chu Fei appeared. Due to the chaotic records of this period, the exact time is difficult to calculate, but the Yanhuang civilization ushered in new hope.
In the year 7017 of the Fourth Age, the Yanhuang civilization re-emerged and launched the Ziwei Project.
The Fourth Age lasted for a full ten thousand years, after which the Fifth Age began.
You are the luckiest generation in the history of the Yanhuang civilization, but you are also the generation under the greatest pressure. Because, for the Yanhuang civilization to truly rise, it still needs a Ziwei Sage.
A month ago, the Big Data Cultivation Technique completed a new iteration. Because the research team led by Instructor Chu Fei thoroughly analyzed the existence of the soul, true spirit, and fortune, Big Data Cultivation is continuously pushing towards the limits of the Purple Star Sage…
Wang Changyuan's voice echoed between heaven and earth, and this scene was also playing out in various universities of the Yanhuang civilization. Meanwhile, in the void a light-year away, Chu Fei and others were "spying," using the methods of a sage to easily observe precise information within a one-light-year range.
Having just become a saint, he could perceive vague information a light-year away. Now, Chu Fei can perceive precise information within a light-year range.
In fact, Chu Fei was hosting a distinguished guest. This guest was a woman, elegant and noble, yet possessing a subtly domineering aura, especially her pupils, which were a striking purplish-black, giving her a somewhat sinister charm. An aura of destruction swirled around her, as if countless worlds were being created and destroyed in an instant. The light and shadow of these worlds varied in size, layered and intersecting, beyond calculation.
If Tianyan Daozun were still alive, he would definitely exclaim upon seeing this woman—"Ziwei Sage!"
That's right, it's the Purple Star Saint, the true form of the Dark Elf Mother Tree, the Chaos Spiritual Root, the Horror Paradise, and the True Ruler of Heavenly Sin.
The dignified and noble True Ruler of Heavenly Sin leisurely sensed the vast aura of the Yanhuang civilization and exclaimed in amazement, "According to the Yanhuang calendar, we have only been separated for less than six thousand years. According to the world calendar, it has only been a dozen years. The Yanhuang civilization has actually produced saints for all its people."
Chu Fei smiled and said, "Senior, you flatter me. There is no such thing as a saint for everyone. The total population of the Yanhuang civilization is trillions, but only five hundred billion are at the 25.0 level. The proportion of saints is less than one in a million. There is still a long way to go before we reach the goal of a saint for everyone."
The Heavenly Sin True Ruler paused for a moment, his lips twitching slightly. "Is this humility or boasting? If we only look at the number of Saints, one in three Saints in the entire world is from the Yanhuang Civilization. If we only count the Great Dao Saints, which are at the 26.0 realm, roughly one in two is from the Yanhuang Civilization. You guys are really... insane."
Chu Fei shrugged. "That's the power of science. If we look at it from the perspective of a pure cultivation system, we are indeed a bit crazy. Senior, you can take what I just said as boasting."
From a scientific perspective, however, we are still far from achieving that. A one-in-a-million success rate is indeed too low. Moreover, we have yet to produce a "Sage of Ziwei," which is our biggest problem.
After pondering for a while, the Heavenly Sin True Ruler finally sighed and said, "Speaking of which, I was able to eliminate the hidden dangers and complete my transformation thanks to your guidance back then."
Chu Fei smiled and said, "Our recent iteration of cultivation techniques is also thanks to the data provided by our senior."
Tianzui Zhenzai: "However, I still don't quite understand the world model you've created, and I have some questions I'd like to ask."
"Senior, please tell me."
When Tianzui Zhenzai asked him for advice, Chu Fei answered without reservation.
With the continuous iteration of big data cultivation and the issue of universal education, there is absolutely no fear of leaks. Most importantly, big data cultivation has now become an independent system. If other sages want to learn it, they must start over, but traditional cultivation methods cannot perform a formatted restart unless protected by experts like Chu Fei, which would leave loopholes.
The Goddess of Nature was rebuilt under Chu Fei's protection, but this rebuilding had a fatal weakness—it required the transformation of the past foundation, which necessitated Chu Fei's intervention. This transformed foundation couldn't renew itself; any attempt to renew it required seeking Chu Fei's help, thus perpetually leaving the backdoor untouched.
In short, big data-driven spiritual practice is completely different from traditional spiritual practice. Traditional spiritual practice systems can draw on the achievements of big data-driven spiritual practice, but only as a reference.
At this moment, the surrounding "audience" included the Goddess of Nature, Yuanyang Daozun, and the experts who had successively joined them over the years, as well as the elites and researchers of the Yanhuang civilization itself, and everyone discussed together.
Recently, under Chu Fei's leadership, the Yanhuang civilization solved a crucial problem: the "True Spirit."
It should be said that when he killed Tianyan Daozun and eight million saints, he took the opportunity to do a lot of research and accumulate a lot of data.
Then, after more than five thousand years of painstaking research, coupled with the development of science and technology, a new accumulation and breakthrough were finally achieved.
However, the birth of life does not necessarily require a "soul," as that is only possessed by highly intelligent life forms. But it certainly requires a true spirit. The true spirit is the soul of the soul. Lower life forms such as plants, as well as the core of the soul, require a "true spirit."
There are countless interpretations of what the true spirit is. The Yanhuang civilization has long had legends that those who have achieved spiritual cultivation can endure countless tribulations while maintaining a portion of their true spirit.
Later scientific research suggested that the true spirit is instinct, but this cannot be fully explained.
After Chu Fei broke through to level 24.0, he understood what the soul was, and that the soul was an alternative grand model. However, he still couldn't explain what the "true spirit" was.
We often say that humans are born with divine, spiritual, and Buddha-like qualities, and we also talk about things like inherent goodness, inherent evil, and the nature of heroes (there are strange things involved). This so-called "innate nature" is the true spirit.
When Chu Fei was researching divinity at realm 16.0, he discovered that so-called divinity is similar to fractal geometry, which can extend infinitely upwards and downwards. True spirit seems to be the endpoint of the infinite downward (microscopic) extension of fractal geometry.
This endpoint points directly to the essence of how the world works: the information field.
Life cannot arise in a desolate world, ostensibly because of the desolation, but actually because of the "insufficient information content".
When the information content is sufficient, it can form a "river" or something similar. Where there is a "river," there will be turbulence and eddies. The turbulence and eddies in this river of information may give birth to the core of life, which is the true spirit. Every true spirit is a trace of creation.
The generated "information vortex" is not necessarily the true spirit, but the true spirit is definitely born from the "information vortex".
The world as a whole is chaotic, disordered, and without order. But within this disorder, "order" can emerge. This is negative entropy. This ordered negative entropy is the original source of life, the true spirit.
To explain this principle clearly, we can use some examples.
The world as a whole exhibits increasing entropy, but this doesn't mean that every single point in the world is the same. In the flow of a river, a whirlpool often appears randomly; this whirlpool is an example of order.
The "information vortex" isn't necessarily a real vortex. For example, wind and rain erosion can decay rocks into soil, which in turn nourishes plants; strong winds can carry away nutrients from the desert, shaping the Loess Plateau and nurturing the Chinese civilization. This, too, is a vortex, a higher-dimensional vortex, a cradle where life is born from disorder.
However, it's important to note that this order is relative. The eddies in the river and the Loess Plateau sculpted by wind and sand appear orderly, but upon closer inspection of the details, one discovers that disorder is inherent within them.
River eddies contain turbulent currents, and the Loess Plateau is not a flat plain.
This phenomenon is widespread in nature. Order is contained within disorder, and yin and yang are mutually generative.
This characteristic is similar to fractal geometry, but in a three-dimensional, or even hyperdimensional, form. Perhaps it could be called a "fractal manifold".
In short, the true spirit is the turbulence and vortex formed in the world's information field. It is a process of creation, a chaotic process, and also a random process.
Once the first true spirit is established, a stable lineage will emerge due to data replication, the unique characteristics of fractal geometry, and so on. This forms a race.
However, the birth of a true spirit only means the existence of the foundation of life; it is roughly a fragment of a life law. Life born on this foundation is merely a low-level, unintelligent life form.
For sufficient intelligence to emerge on this basis, more information is needed, allowing the true spirit to devour more information and expand, thus forming the soul—generating a large information model.
For example, the entire Loess Plateau can be seen as a large model created by nature. Even the human body can be seen as a super-large model.
For the information model to be better—larger and more organized—it's best to "feed" it with organized, high-quality information, such as excellent world-class music. This is prenatal education—while the fetus is in the womb, its main channels for obtaining information are prenatal education, as well as the environment of "memes" such as parental love.
Subsequent research in big data has been a continuation of this foundation.
As for the so-called "fortune," it's quite simple. The true spirit is born from the "river of information" and naturally flows with it, influenced by the external environment.
In addition to increasing the size of their true spirit and soul, practitioners also need to increase the speed and direction of their individual information movement within the world's information field. To achieve this, they need to learn, practice, and cultivate their mind, among other things.
Therefore, the true spirit, the soul, fortune, and so on are all big data.
After Chu Fei's team figured these things out, the big data cultivation system was completely perfected. As for the next Purple Star Sage, it was simply a matter of how to further expand his "size" and improve his "quality".
As for the method, Chu Fei and the higher-ups of the Yanhuang civilization already had a direction and had made initial progress—collective life.
May the Yanhuang civilization give birth to more sages, and ultimately, by utilizing the unique nature of the cosmic brain, everyone will achieve interconnection and give birth to a super collective.
With a super collective, the path to the Purple Star Sage can be opened. Further iterations will then be undertaken, striving to create a "super individual" based on the "super group."
In fact, Chu Fei and the others could have already formed the Purple Star Saint long ago—they had already made a preliminary attempt during their battle with Tianyan Daozun.
In short, while the Yanhuang civilization lacks a super-individual like the Ziwei Sage, it can combine tens of thousands of experts to form a collective life form, a combined Ziwei Sage, creating a unique puzzle. Therefore, even the Heavenly Sin True Sovereign dares not put on airs before the Yanhuang civilization and must always maintain a smiling demeanor.
After a long exchange, the True Sovereign of Heavenly Sin suddenly realized something, and then sighed with emotion, "Cultivation using big data is truly remarkable. Although I am now the Purple Star Saint, my foundation is very weak."
Next, I plan to go to the Creation Heaven of the Netherworld to see what this so-called Primordial Law is. Let's cooperate.
Chu Fei readily agreed: "Alright. Even if you hadn't come, I was prepared to ask you for help. The power of the Yanhuang civilization should be sufficient now."
The Heavenly Sin True Sovereign sensed the billions of Saint-level powerhouses of the Yanhuang Civilization, and his lips twitched again. Your so-called "enough" is five hundred billion Saints? The Yanhuang Civilization is a mad civilization; it's the only civilization in the world always ready to fight multiple opponents at once.
Chu Fei paused slightly, then asked, "Should we look for the senior's sister, the Elf Mother Tree?" (End of Chapter)
