Out of control and sinking

Bo Ye came out of the dressing room after getting dressed, only to find the bedroom empty; Jiang Ruan was gone.

A flicker of emotion crossed the man's dark eyes. While washing up just now, he vaguely remembered someone feeding him medicine last night.

Without a doubt, it must be Jiang Ruan.

Picking up his phone, Bo Ye left the bedroom.

The passing servants all bowed their heads and greeted him: "Mr. Bo."

Bo Ye, with a cold expression, strode down the spiral staircase with his long legs, and heard the girl's silvery, teasing voice.

Bo Ye raised an eyebrow and looked up to see Jiang Ruan squatting in front of the French windows, her white dress framing a snow-white cat in her arms, as if they were one.

Sunlight streamed in, falling on her fair face, making her smile even brighter.

She smiled even sweeter than she did in front of him.

Bo Ye walked over and asked, "Where did this stray cat come from?"

A voice came from behind her. Jiang Ruan turned her head and saw a man wearing a black suit, exuding an air of nobility.

She scoffed, "What stray cat? This is Anan's daughter's Persian cat. Her daughter went on a trip to another province, so she brought it over for Anan to keep for a few days."

"Look how cute this cat is! Her fur is all white and so soft."

Jiang Ruan stood up and walked towards him, holding the cat.

Bo Ye instinctively stepped back, his brows furrowed: "Cute?"

"It's so ugly."

He said disdainfully, "How can anyone like something so ugly?"

Jiang Ruan laughed in exasperation: "Do you even have any aesthetic sense? What's ugly about it?"

"Look at it, it's as white as a cotton candy, and let me tell you, it's so soft and comfortable when she hugs it."

Jiang Ruan praised him without any reservations.

Looking at the cat in his arms, he could hardly hide the affection in his eyes.

Bo Ye blurted out, "Not as comfortable as you."

Jiang Ruan looked up abruptly, thinking she was hallucinating: "Huh?"

Jiang Ruan turned her head, looked around to make sure no one was there, and then blushed as she accused him.

"Bo Ye, when did you start making dirty jokes!" Bo Ye raised an eyebrow, staring straight at her, his voice magnetic: "I meant it's comfortable to hold."

"What are you thinking about?"

Jiang Ruan: "..."

"Then you should say it in one complete sentence. Saying it so simply makes it easy for people to misunderstand."

Bo Ye chuckled, took his hand out of his pocket, and lifted his leg to get closer to her.

"Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding, huh?"

"It's clearly your impure thoughts that are blaming me."

"Whose thoughts are impure?" Jiang Ruan muttered, "It's clearly you who can't express yourself clearly."

"Alright, I'm not talking to you anymore. Aren't you going to the company? Hurry up and go."

Even though they were so close, and she was telling him to leave, Bo Ye wanted to say something, but when he saw the cat in her arms, he suddenly remembered that she was still holding it.

He frowned and immediately stepped back.

Jiang Ruan looked up and saw this scene.

She looked on with surprise, as if she had discovered a new world: "Bo Ye, you're not afraid of cats, are you?"

Bo Ye paused slightly: "You're overthinking it."

With one hand in his pocket and his head held high, the Adam's apple revealed by the two buttons undone at his collar accentuated his wild and ascetic nature.

Are you really not afraid?

Jiang Ruan walked forward with a smile, leaning closer to him: "Then why are you stepping back?"

"Look how cute this cat is, why don't you hold it?"

As she approached step by step, Bo Ye's face darkened instantly. He gritted his teeth and said, "Jiang Ruan!"

"You stay there and don't come any closer."

"Why?" Jiang Ruan asked. "You said you weren't afraid of cats."

"Tsk tsk tsk, how come I never noticed before? Bo Ye, you're actually afraid of cats."

Jiang Ruan could barely contain her smile.
