Hogwarts: From Squibs to Greatness

Chapter 119 Encounter in Diagon Alley

Chapter 119 Encounter in Diagon Alley

Long after Harry arrived in London's Diagon Alley on the Knight Bus, he was a little apprehensive.

But as the days passed, no one came to catch Harry at the Leaky Cauldron.

Later, Harry inquired about what happened that day, but the news he got was that nothing happened and everything was normal.

Gradually, Harry felt relieved, assuming that the Ministry of Magic made a mistake at work that day and didn't notice that he was performing magic.

Thinking of this, Harry felt very happy.

The days passed, and now Harry kept an eye out for John, Ron, and Hermione wherever he went.

School will start soon, and a large number of students from Hogwarts have poured into Diagon Alley.

In the Quidditch boutique, Harry met his Gryffindor classmates Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas, who were also staring greedily at the Firebolt.

Outside Lihen Bookstore, he met Neville Longbottom, a round-faced boy who was particularly forgetful.

Harry didn't stop to chat with him, Neville seemed to have forgotten where he put his book list, and his creepy-looking grandma was scolding him.

On August 8st, Harry woke up from his dream, thinking that he could finally see John, Ron and Hermione on the Hogwarts Express tomorrow.

He got up and got dressed, and went to take a look at the Firebolt as if he clocked in every day.

He was thinking about where to go for lunch when he heard an excited barking of dogs.

Harry turned to see a huge black dog with a collar running towards him.

In the next second, he was thrown down by the black dog. The black dog excitedly sniffed him with its wet nose, and its dark eyes were full of joy.

"Calm down, calm down!" Harry reached out and pushed the black dog, trying to push it away and sit up.

At this moment, Harry heard a familiar voice: "This will only make Harry hate you."

"John!" Harry looked at John standing aside with some joy.

Then Harry noticed that after hearing John's words, the black dog really backed away slowly, lowered its head and tucked its tail, looking very guilty for doing something wrong.

Harry sat up from the ground, looked at the black dog in front of him, and looked at the guilty look of the other party. Subconsciously soft-hearted, he stretched out his hand to touch the black dog's head.

But Harry paused halfway through stretching out his hand, he was still a little timid.

Because he saw a book called Omen of Death: What to Do When You Know Doom Is Coming at Lihen Bookstore some time ago.

A black dog the size of a bear was painted on the cover of that book, staring at a pair of bright eyes. Except for the size, the black dog in front of him was almost exactly the same as the black dog painted on the cover.

But the next moment, he felt a warm, fluffy head in his palm. Harry was only nervous for a moment, and then he relaxed, stroking the other's soft hair.

The black dog seemed very happy, grinning a mean smile, and wagging its tail like a fan.

Looking at the satisfied expression on Sirius Dog's face, John really didn't know what to complain about.

Harry stroked the black dog's chin, looked at John and asked, "John, is this your new pet?"

"No, I picked him up." John said, "I don't intend to raise him, so I'm looking for a new owner for him."

"But I think he likes you so much, Harry, why don't you adopt him, this guy is easy to raise, he will eat whatever you eat, and he can understand words."

When Harry heard John's words, he found that the black dog in front of him became even more excited, and kept nodding, as if agreeing with John's words.

Hearing John's words, Harry was actually a little moved, because he somehow felt a kind of kindness from the black dog.

After thinking about it, Harry looked at the black dog in front of him and asked expectantly, "Will you live with me?"

"Wow!" the black dog nodded and barked twice.

Knowing that the black dog in front of him agreed with him, Harry said with a smile, "That's great, we'll be a family from now on!"

When Sirius heard Harry say that they were a family, he paused, and then circled the ground happily several times.

"Then I'll hand Wick over to you." John said, looking at Harry who was happily interacting with Sirius.

"Well, I see, I will treat Wick well!" Harry said happily.

Harry got up from the ground and stood up, holding the dog leash in his hand, and then John, Harry and Sirius started shopping together.

Not long after, John saw Ron and Hermione from a distance.

"Harry! John!"

Ron and Hermione were sitting outside Florin Fusco's ice cream shop, Ron's freckles so conspicuous and Hermione's tanned, both of them waving desperately at them.

As Harry and John approached, they naturally also saw Sirius following Harry.

"Harry, when did you get a dog?" Ron asked in surprise
The same was true for Hermione, looking curiously at the black dog squatting beside Harry.

Harry glanced down at the black dog and said, "This is the dog John picked up. He asked me if I wanted to adopt him, and I agreed."

"Really." Ron squatted down and glanced at John in surprise.

Then I saw Ron reaching out to Sirius: "Shake hands."

Sirius glanced at Ron, and he naturally recognized that it was a child of the Weasley family. Thinking of Arthur and Molly, Sirius hesitated for a long time and finally raised his front paws to rest on Ron's outstretched hand.

"What a good dog, what a good dog!" Ron said with a smile on his face.

Hermione also wanted to interact with Sirius, but due to the little girl's petty cleanliness, she didn't choose to go up and touch Sirius.

After some interaction, Ron stood up and took Harry to sit on a chair beside him, while Sirius lay down at Harry's feet.

"Finally seeing you!" said Ron, grinning at Harry. "We went to the Leaky Cauldron, but they said you were gone, and then we went to Leigh Books, Madam Malkin's Robes and..."

"I bought all my stuff for school last week," Harry explained, "how do you know I live at the Leaky Cauldron?
"My dad said it." Ron said lightly.

After all, Harry has never concealed his tracks, and Diagon Alley is often visited by members of the Ministry of Magic. Naturally, Mr. Weasley, who works in the Ministry of Magic, can easily know that Harry is at the Leaky Cauldron.

"Harry, did you really blow up your aunt?" Hermione asked very seriously.

The reason why Hermione knew about this was because Harry was worried about being expelled, so he wrote to ask Hermione why.

"I didn't mean to," said Harry, while Ron laughed. "I just... couldn't help it."

"This is no joke, Ron!" said Hermione sternly. "Honestly, I'm surprised Harry wasn't expelled."

"I was wondering too," Harry admitted, "let alone fired, I thought I'd be arrested."

He looked at Ron. "Your father doesn't know why the Ministry let me go, does he?"

"Maybe it's you, isn't it?" Ron shrugged, still chuckling softly. "The famous Harry Potter or something. I can't imagine if I blow up an aunt, the Ministry of Magic will How to deal with me."

"I tell you, they're going to dig me out of the ground first, because Mum must have killed me. You can ask my dad yourself tonight anyway. We're staying at the Leaky Cauldron tonight too! So you Come with us to King's Cross tomorrow! Hermione lives there too!"

Hermione nodded happily. "Mum and Dad sent me here this morning, along with everything I need at Hogwarts."

"Great!" said Harry happily. "So, have you got all your new books and supplies?"

"Look at this," said Ron, pulling a long, thin box out of his bag and opening it. "A brand new wand. Willow, fourteen inches long, with a unicorn's tail hair in it." .”

"Oh, by the way!" Ron took out the spare wand from his pocket and handed it to John. "Thank you for the wand, John. If it weren't for you, I really wouldn't have imagined how I would have dealt with those exams last year!"

John took the spare wand from Ron and put it away: "It's nothing, we are friends, aren't we?"

Ron nodded with a smile, and then continued: "We also bought all the textbooks."

He pointed to a big bag under his chair, "What happened to those "Monster Books of Monsters", huh? We said we would buy two copies, and the clerk almost burst into tears."

Harry said he didn't know, and John chose to keep the secret for Hagrid, because he said he would surprise Harry and the others.

"What are those things, Hermione?" Harry asked, pointing to the three bulging bags on the chair next to her.

"Oh, I've taken more new subjects than you, haven't I?" said Hermione, "Those are my textbooks, astronomy and divination, protection of magical animals, divination, ancient runes, Muggle studies..."

"What are you doing in Muggle studies?" said Ron, rolling his eyes at Harry. "You're Muggle-born! Your parents are Muggles! You already know everything about Muggles!"

"However, it would be interesting to study them from a wizard's point of view," said Hermione enthusiastically.

"Are you still going to eat and sleep this year, Hermione?" Harry asked, while Ron smirked.

Hermione ignored them.

"I still have ten Galleons," she said, looking at her wallet. "September is my birthday, and my parents gave me some money to buy myself a birthday present in advance."

"How about a good book?" said Ron, with mock kindness.

"No, I don't want to buy books," said Hermione calmly, "I want an owl in particular, you see, Harry has Hedwig, you have Errol, John has Ramses..."

"I don't," said Ron, "Errol's the family owl. I only have Scabbers."

Ron took his pet mouse Scabbers out of his pocket, and because of John's collar, Scabbers didn't recognize the black dog next to Harry as Sirius from the beginning.

Immediately, Sirius' gaze fell on the mouse in Ron's hand, and the murderous intent in his dark eyes seemed to condense into substance.

Maybe it was aware of the threat of death, and seeing the sluggish Banban in Ron's hand, he suddenly let out a shrill scream, struggling to get rid of Ron.

"Hey! Calm down!"

And John kicked Sirius quietly, and Sirius forced himself not to look at the damn mouse, and lay down again.

As John said, he knew it was not time to deal with the traitor.
