Chapter 1999 11998 The Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon

Chapter 1999 1.1998 The Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon
"So it was her." In a flash, Wu Chen had already figured out the true identity of the great demon.

"My lord?" Princess's strategist, Li Huixin, stopped abruptly, clearly sensing that something was amiss.

"It's alright. You'll find out soon enough." Wu Chen knew that the great demon could eavesdrop on his long-distance communication with his female companion. The reason was actually quite simple: it was the Boundless Silk Domain, which was characterized by "Boundless Suffering," "Boundless Body," "Boundless Time," and "Boundless Form."

The entire Changlefang Grand Flower Pavilion is a "Silk Prison of No Return" secretly woven by a powerful demon. From the player's perspective, this is actually the exclusive domain of the powerful demon. Consider this: while the "Five Poison Heavenly Net Spider" and the "Hundred Poisons Thousand-Year Flower" are indeed rare treasures of heaven and earth, they are not unreplicable with the right cultivation. In other words, there are likely more than one "Five Poison Heavenly Net Spider" and "Hundred Poisons Thousand-Year Flower."

This realization sent a chill down his spine. There were likely many martial arts masters like Hong Xiaocui, the leader of the Toad Hall, who, under the influence of a powerful demon, secretly cultivated the *Spider Flower Manual*. However, his ingrained intuition told him that possessing a unique domain was beyond the reach of ordinary martial arts masters. There must be some secret he hadn't yet uncovered.

With this thought in mind, Wu Chen hurriedly transmitted his voice to the healing immortal master Cheng Lingsu: "Lingsu, first heal the 'Seventh Princess of Martial Arts' and inquire about the details of the 'Mysterious Heavenly Maiden Sword Manual'."

"Yes, my lord." On Wangyun Cliff, there are seven sects, each with its own unique magical artifacts. The "Seven-Heart Begonia Hairpin," exclusive to the healing immortal Cheng Lingsu, is one such artifact. Embedded with the Medicine King's Golden Elixir, it can cure all poisons in the world, even the peerless Gu poison cultivated using the *Spider Flower Manual*. Since that great demon captured all seven of them at once, perhaps there's more to the story.

At the same time, the left and right guardians also followed the trail and arrived at the deepest part of the cave—the Spider Flower Palace.

The entire main hall is carved from a giant skull. The entrance is marked by the skull's mouth, filled with sharp, menacing teeth. A ghostly light flickers within the two empty eye sockets; a single glance is enough to send chills down one's spine. A chilling wind blows, ghostly wails echo, and a pervasive coldness washes over you, as if you were in the deepest hell.

Furthermore, this enormous skull has a pair of dragon horns on top. However, the overall shape of the skull is more like a human than a dragon.

A giant humanoid monster with a pair of dragon horns.

Even Wu Chen couldn't think of the source for a moment.

Even though they faced mountains of knives and seas of fire, the two guardians were fearless and pressed on.

"Look." The two cautiously entered the Spider Flower Palace, and looking up, they saw a luminous pearl on the upper jaw emitting a faint glow. Deeper into the skull's mouth, the soft ground overgrown with wild grass beneath their feet felt like an unrotted tongue. Surrounding the upper and lower jaws, near the back of the mouth close to the throat, sat a purple-gold bronze incense burner with wisps of blue smoke rising from it.

From a distance, it looks exactly like an alchemy furnace.

However, the furnace chamber is large and slightly flattened, quite different from the alchemy furnaces commonly seen.

"A golden bowl to subdue demons, a cassock to cover the sky." Wu Chen recognized it: "This is the demon-subduing bowl."

"Could it be something used to subdue Lady White Snake?" Master Gu Xianniang of Huitian Pavilion had obviously heard of the Legend of the White Snake.

Legend has it that Fahai wielded a demon-subduing bowl to subdue the White Snake. As for the demons and monsters that roam the world disguised in various human forms, as soon as the golden light of the bowl shines upon them, they immediately reveal their true forms. Once captured in the bowl, they will eventually turn into a pool of pus within a hundred to a thousand years.

But they didn't know if it was the demon-subduing bowl before them. As the two guardians approached for a closer look, the mystery was finally solved.

The demon-subduing bowl was shrouded in mist, and in the center grew a strange flower and herb.

Needless to say, it was the "Hundred Poisons Thousand-Year Flower," one of the two treasures of the Five Poisons Sect. As for the "Five Poisons Heavenly Net Spider," it was currently lurking within the flower's stamen, feeding on its nectar. The extremely poisonous nectar was, in fact, the "Five Poisons Heavenly Net Spider's" finest elixir. Similarly, the venom secreted by the "Five Poisons Heavenly Net Spider's" silk glands served as excellent nourishment for the "Hundred Poisons Thousand-Year Flower." Year after year, day after day, it flourished, its branches and leaves lush and its body robust—this was the true nature of the spider-flower symbiotic relationship.

"The pus from the various demons within the Demon-Subduing Bowl is an indispensable misty realm for the symbiotic relationship between the spider and the flower." Wu Chen's fleeting True Sight Eye had already glimpsed the hidden secrets within the Skull Palace: "As for the Boundless Silk Domain, it is closely related to this dragon-horned skull."

"My lord's intention is that this dragon-horned skull was cast into the Avici Hell before its death. By chance, the skull was found by that great demon, who then planted a spider flower in it, transforming it into the Avici Silk Domain." As expected of the wise and resourceful Princess strategist Li Huixin, she understood everything in a flash.

"Perhaps, this dragon horn skull is the remnant of a demon's body that failed to be completely dissolved in the demon-subduing bowl, which was then used by that great demon," Wu Chen said, mentioning another possibility.

"That's right, it is the skull of the Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon." Unexpectedly, the great demon overheard the telepathic message: "'A snake transforms into a python after a hundred years, a dragon after a thousand years, and a dragon after ten thousand years.' In the Legend of the White Snake, he cultivated for ten thousand years and attained enlightenment. His magical power was boundless, and he called himself 'Fahai'. 'Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, World Honored Ksitigarbha, Prajna Buddhas, Prajna Paramita' is his demon-subduing technique."

Needless to say, the famous Zen master Fahai must have come from the timeline of the "Green Snake" storyline.

The story begins on the night Fahai first encountered the Green and White Snake Demons. A fierce storm raged in the bamboo forest. He used his Heavenly Eye to see the snake demons' true form and was about to cast a spell to subdue them when suddenly a village woman's scream came from the forest. Fahai went forward to investigate and realized that the Green and White Snakes had kindly sheltered the pregnant village woman from the rain. After the woman gave birth to a child, Fahai withdrew his magic and went to check on her, only to accidentally see the woman's naked body.

The village woman was fair-skinned, beautiful, and alluring, which frightened Fahai so much that he took several steps back, closed his eyes tightly, and silently chanted Buddhist mantras. But it was too late; he had already lost his composure.

That day, Xiaoqing was thrown into the icy pool after stealing a magical herb. Fahai, remembering her rescue, spared her life and asked her to help him cultivate. They made a bet: if Xiaoqing could disrupt his concentration, he would release her. So Xiaoqing began to tempt Fahai with various allurements, all to confuse his mind. Fahai, however, remained seated cross-legged, meditating peacefully.

That night, Xiaoqing used every trick in the book, employing all the seductive arts she had learned in her life. At dawn, a giant snake's tail coiled around Xiaoqing's body, seemingly frolicking in the water. At first glance, everyone mistook it for Xiaoqing's snake tail; however, this tail was thick, large, and dark in color, quite different from the slender green snake's tail. Years later, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the snake tail was actually Fahai in his true form. It turned out that Fahai's true form was also a snake spirit (dragon spirit), only he had attained Buddhahood before Xiaoqing.

That night, Xiaoqing's tail intertwined with Fahai's, constantly tempting and testing Fahai's inner desires. The pool water boiled and bubbled as she threw herself into his arms, hearing his rapid heartbeat. Reaching into the water, she finally understood that Fahai had lost; he was already in a state of utter confusion. Fahai, unwilling to admit defeat, flew into a rage and waved his whisk, driving Xiaoqing away. As she fled, Xiaoqing transmitted her voice through the distance: "Even if you close your eyes, I still win."

The evidence was irrefutable. As the dragon and snake intertwined, Xiaoqing murmured tenderly, "I never imagined my first man would be you, but it's a pity that neither of us possessed the emotions of mortals..."

Therefore, the dragon horn and skull were originally Fahai's head. And the demon-subduing bowl was indeed held by the Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon in his previous life. Now, however, it is being used by that great demon to cultivate spider flowers and the Infinite Silk Domain.

It is precisely because of this divine artifact that the great demon has achieved its current prowess. The martial world is indeed full of extraordinary encounters; this is truly no exaggeration.

With this thought in mind, Wu Chen must have wondered: "Why did the mighty Great Heavenly Dragon, Zen Master Fahai, fall into the Avici Hell?"
