Days wandering around Hogwarts
Chapter 440 Can you do it?
Chapter 440 Can you do it?
On the way to class, Seamus asked Charles, "I heard you gave Malfoy 10,000 Galleons?"
Charles asked him curiously, "How do you know?"
Seamus said, "The whole Slytherin knows about it. Malfoy deliberately showed off this incident without telling you why you gave it to him."
Charles was speechless and just said, "Nothing."
He didn't want too many people to know about his currency exchange, so he didn't explain further.
Behind Charles, Hermione held a badge in her hand, ready to sell him.
At this time, Cedric came over from the stairs next to him, put his arms around Charles and Seamus' shoulders, and asked in a low voice: "Hey, are you interested in participating in the Triwizard Tournament?"
Simo pinched his chin and said, "Well, if I can be elected as a warrior, I can definitely make you my assistant."
Cedric smiled and said, "What if I choose you guys to help?"
Seamus' eyes lit up and he asked Charles, "Charles, what do you think?"
Charles shook his head and said, "Forget it, the prize money is too little."
Seamus and Cedric both despised the guy.
Cedric left at the next intersection, and Seamus asked Charles, "Are you really not going?"
Charles nodded.
At this time, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom arrived and the students came to the deepest classroom.
It is still sunny and green here.
There were tables and chairs placed on the grass and everyone sat down.
Ron shivered as he came in because there were three huge acromantic spiders behind the podium.
They were surrounded by an invisible fence and could run around in all directions but couldn't escape.
"What...what's going on?!" Ron said nervously, "Why would such a scary thing appear!"
Dean said, "I heard from the Fat Lady that there was a big clean-up in the castle before school started."
"You're right." Moody walked to the podium from behind the crowd. "There are no spiders left in the castle. I had to go to the Forbidden Forest to find teaching aids."
Hermione muttered, "Slave labor again."
"Teaching...teaching aids?" Ron trembled even more. "Do I...should I...fight it?"
"I can arrange that if you wish," Moody said.
Ron's head immediately shook like a wave drum.
Harry patted Ron on the shoulder and said, "Why are you afraid? Haven't you eaten a lot of spider legs?"
Ron responded: "The spider legs on the plate won't move."
Harry said to Charles, "Charles, you can invent spider legs that move."
Charles just nodded.
Hermione was flipping through the pages of her textbook, and it seemed that there was no mention of using spiders.
At this time, Moody picked up the roster and called the roll. After calling the roll, he said, "You can put away your textbooks today. You won't need them in class."
"I've read your textbook. It's good, but not enough, so you need to learn extra lessons in class on how to deal with the dark arts."
"This year, I plan to let you experience the art of fighting between wizards."
As Moody spoke, Charles looked at him calmly but with some curiosity.
Charles had checked the map last night and saw that his name was indeed Alastor Moody, and he wasn't taking a sip from the hip flask from time to time.
However, Charles always felt that this Moody was different from the Moody he met in Ouagadou that year, and it felt weird.
It felt even stranger after he told me that Arthur had helped him deal with some minor problems a few days ago.
"So, do any of you know which spells carry the harshest penalties under wizarding law?"
Moody's question made Charles put aside his doubts and just look for a chance to look through his suitcase. Hermione answered the question half a second faster than Ron: "It's the three unforgivable curses, the Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus Curse, and the Avada Kedavra Curse."
"Yes." Moody nodded. "An illegal spell."
At this moment, Charles discovered that Moody's magic eye turned and looked at him.
Moody asked him, "Smith, can you use the Imperius Curse?"
Charles shook his head and replied, "No."
He only knows a weakened version of the Confusion Spell, not the original one.
Moody looked disappointed and asked, "Do you know what the Imperius Curse does?"
Charles replied seriously: "Let the children eat and sleep on time, don't cry or make trouble at night, and don't eat so many sweets."
This made it difficult for students like Ron who came from wizarding families to handle this.
Moody looked at Charles with a complicated look, and a hint of pity.
He turned and waved his wand, and the invisible fence around an acromantula disappeared.
"The soul is out of body!"
When the Acromantula got within a short distance of Moody, it was struck by the Imperius Curse.
Its body stiffened, and then it began to tap dance, making all the students laugh, except Charles.
Moody said something that made everyone laugh: "If I did this to you, would you be happy?"
"I can make you jump out of the window, drown yourself in the lake, or slit the throat of a classmate."
The laughter stopped immediately.
Moody said that he would teach everyone how to resist the Imperius Curse, and then asked: "Who knows how to use the Cruciatus Curse?"
His magic eyes turned to Charles, as did the other students.
Everyone had a feeling that it wouldn't be surprising if Charles said he would.
Ron's right hand moved subconsciously, but he didn't raise it in the end. No one noticed this small movement.
Charles shrugged.
Moody turned around and released another Acromantula.
"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"
The cursed spider retracted all its legs, rolled into a ball, and kept rolling and twitching on the ground. Even though it couldn't make any sound, people could feel that it was in pain.
Neville bit his lip tightly and clenched his hands into fists.
"Extreme pain," said Moody. "It's the pain of the soul. The physical numbness can't alleviate it in the slightest."
After he finished speaking, he looked at Charles again and asked, "Do you know the Avada Kedavra curse?"
Charles pretended to be helpless and said, "Professor, do you think I look like someone who can do it?"
Moody didn't ask him any more questions and turned around to release the last eight-eyed giant spider.
"Avada Kedavra!"
There was a blinding flash of green light, and the spider suddenly lost control, fell to the ground, and rolled all the way in front of Ron.
Moody said: "This is the last and most powerful spell... Avada Kedavra."
"It was created specifically for killing. It has no other use. It will only be used when it is time to kill someone."
With a wave of his wand he locked the dead spider back together with the dancing, writhing spider.
"There's a legend in England," Moody said, looking into the distance, "A long time ago, there was a wizard who mastered the Avada Kedavra curse to such an extreme that he could kill many people with one cast of the curse."
The students gasped when they heard this.
