Days wandering around Hogwarts
Chapter 434: I didn’t get on the bus again this year
Chapter 434: I didn’t get on the bus again this year
Harry rubbed his eyes, suspecting that he had gotten up in the wrong posture just now and saw something strange.
There was a head floating in the fireplace of the Weasley family, talking to Arthur, who was recording the conversation.
"Good morning, Harry!"
When he said hello, Harry found that Black was inside.
"Good morning!" Harry was delighted to see him. "Why are you here?"
Blake pointed to the pouring rain outside and said, "It's raining today. I'll take you to the train station."
Harry was about to ask him how he was going to get him there, but Molly called them to have breakfast.
Arthur hurriedly said goodbye to everyone and left. Everyone was discussing about "Mad-Eye" Moody.
Early this morning, there was some violent commotion at Moody's house, which attracted the police. Moody had some conflict with the police, and the Ministry of Magic had to deal with the matter.
After everyone finished breakfast and were carrying their luggage to go out, the Weasley family had some strange expressions, especially Molly.
Arthur's old flying car stopped at the door, and Blake asked everyone to get in.
The interior of the car has been modified, making people feel like it is a private room in the Dancing Grass restaurant. There is a long table in the middle with several vases filled with flowers on it. There are more than 20 chairs on both sides. The purple cushions are very soft and comfortable. There are several gorgeous crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The Persian carpet on the floor is very soft. In the oil painting on the wall, Mona Lisa is waving to everyone.
Percy asked Blake curiously, "Didn't you sell this car to Charles?"
Blake said, "Yeah, Charles gave the car to the company and they modified it to look like this."
"Oh, and Arthur came to help out over the weekend."
"He couldn't find the Ministry's car yesterday, so he asked if the company could help."
Hermione asked him in surprise: "You went to work for Charles' company?"
Blake started the car and said, "Yeah, I had nothing to do, so I saw their job ad and decided to go and have some fun."
"I'm doing sales now. I get commissions only when I sell something. If I want to go to work, I go. If I don't want to go, I do my own thing."
Molly said, "Now that you have settled down, it's time for you to find a wife."
Blake's face twitched and he changed the subject: "Harry, let me show you what's so great about this car!"
After he finished speaking, he stepped on the accelerator and the car sped up to such a speed that he couldn't see the trees on the side of the road.
There were two cars meeting on the road ahead, and Blake drove towards the space between them.
Hermione screamed and shouted, "Brake!"
Ron was also frightened and shouted, "Fly quickly!"
The car seemed to be flattened and passed through the gap between the two cars. All three cars were safe.
"Knight Bus?" Harry thought of a similar mode of transport.
"Yes!" Blake replied, "It's a similar magic, but more stable, and it can fly."
Molly was worried that Black might make the car fly, so she immediately said, "It can't fly, the Muggles will see it!"
Black said, "It's okay. It has a strong Confounding Charm on it. Muggles will think it's a... what is it... oh, a helicopter."
"By the way, there are candies, snacks and drinks in the cabinet. You can take some on the train as you like and put them on Charles' account."
So Hermione didn't hesitate.
Blake likes racing. He used to have a flying motorcycle, and now it's more exciting to race on four wheels.
The group soon arrived at the train station. Harry was the last one to get out of the car with his luggage, and found that Molly and the Weasley children were looking at the family of three who came out from the side in silence.
Harry recognized the child in the family of three. It was freshman Mafalda Prewett, who was eating ice cream with Seamus.
Black and Axl Prewett waved hello and hurried away with Harry and Hermione.
He whispered to Harry, "Molly doesn't get along very well with her cousin Axe Prewett because Axe is a Squib."
Harry said, "But Mafalda is a witch."
Blake said, "Yeah, so it's a little awkward."
"Mafalda is a very talented witch. She came to Farbottom Castle during her vacation. Moss Jeff and the others taught her a few simple spells, and she learned them quickly."
"Aix was very happy that day."
"That's good. The Prewett family won't be extinct."
Harry looked at Black and said, "I think Mrs. Weasley is right. You should find a wife, or the Black family will be extinct."
Blake's face suddenly darkened, and he waved his hand like he was shooing away a fly and said, "Go away, go away, what do you know, kid?"
Harry shrugged and said, "I heard from Percy that Lupin seems to have a girlfriend. She is an Auror sent by the Auror Office to help out at St. Mungo's Hospital."
Black's eyes lit up immediately, and he rubbed his hands and said, "Hey, Remus was really mean to not tell me."
"Well, I'm going to find Fudge, no, find Charles, and see if I can go to St. Mungo's Hospital to help."
Harry curled his lips. He was pretending to be helping but was really just watching the fun.
The three of them walked very fast at first, and then slowed down.
Not long after, the Weasley family caught up and everyone was talking and laughing, as if what had just happened had never happened.
After arriving at the platform, many people greeted Fred and George enthusiastically when they saw them. Although everyone was busy during this summer vacation, they made a lot of money.
The train departed on time. Harry and his two companions were chatting in the compartment about what was going to happen at Hogwarts this year. It seemed that everyone knew everything except them.
It was raining heavily outside, and the rain was hitting the car windows, making crackling sounds.
Someone knocked on the door of the compartment, and Harry opened it and found that it was Daphne Greengrass, a girl from Slytherin. Daphne had dressed up carefully today, with lipstick and eyebrows, a dark gray cap, a white shirt, a long brown coat and jeans, looking young and beautiful.
She held a cake box in her hand and asked enthusiastically, "Hello, is Charles here?"
Harry shook his head and said, "We haven't seen Charles since the day of the Quidditch match."
Daphne said a little disappointedly, "Oh, thank you."
Not long after she left, before Harry could close the door of his compartment, there was a knock on the door of the next compartment.
After Harry closed the door, he found that Ron seemed to have thought of something funny and was laughing so hard that tears were about to come out, covering his mouth.
Hermione asked Ron, "What are you laughing at?"
Ron suppressed his laughter and said to Harry, "Does she look like Hermione who came to see Rifle in the first year?"
Harry thought about it and laughed along.
Hermione was so upset that she patted Crookshanks on her leg and pointed at Ron and said, "Go tickle him!"
Crookshanks yawned and went back to sleep.
Not long after, Seamus, Neville and Dean arrived together, all three of them with strange smiles on their faces.
Seamus asked Harry and the others, "Did Greengrass come to see you just now?"
Ron said seriously, "I thought she was helping Neville find Rafe... Ouch!"
He was kicked in the shin by Hermione.
Harry pinched his chin and said, "It seems that the rumor that Greengrass is pursuing Charles is true."
Dean said, "That should be the case. She's holding the cake."
"I don't know if she can succeed," Neville said.
"Impossible." ×3
Harry, Hermione and Seamus all shook their heads in unison.
Dean asked curiously, "Why?"
He thought that Harry and Hermione grew up with Charles, and Seamus lived in the same dormitory with Charles, so he should know something.
"Charles is very busy and doesn't have the energy to think about it," Seamus said.
He often saw that Charles had to do a lot of work besides studying, and seemed to be busier than the principal.
"Charles doesn't like Greengrass's type," Harry said.
He had seen some kind of book that Charles had hidden in the room.
Hermione sneered twice and said, "Charles doesn't like humans."
Everyone felt that there was a story behind this, but they didn't dare to ask.
Seamus said, "Come on, let's go see which cubicle Charles is in."
Ron immediately agreed: "Yes, let's go and watch the fun."
The young man did what he said, but after running around the train twice, he still couldn't find Charles.
"Charles isn't here?"
"Did you hide on the roof of the car?"
"It's raining now, it might be under the car."
Meanwhile, an angry Professor McGonagall twisted Charles' ear and dragged him into the Three Broomsticks.
"Third year!" Professor McGonagall seemed to lift him up. "You've missed the train for the third year in a row!"
“What’s the excuse this year?”
"I went to Farbaton Castle to ask, there are no meetings today, no important work!"
"I heard from Dobby that they take good care of the herbs in the greenhouse!"
There was a good laugh from the people waiting for the latecomers in the bar.
Charles was very depressed. He used invisibility when he came out of the Dancing Grass Restaurant, but it rained today, so it was obvious that he was hiding something from the public.
He could only answer truthfully: "Sorry, I overslept."
At this time, Professor Flitwick said with some concern: "Minerva, I think Charles does look very tired."
Professor Sprout also said, "Minerva, you know Charles has a lot of things to deal with before school starts, so don't be too harsh on him."
Professor McGonagall felt a little relieved when she thought about the situation at Charles' home.
At this moment, Snape sniffed and said, "He seems to smell like a woman, more than one?"
Many people looked at Charles.
The stage changes of some potions can be distinguished by smell, so brewing potions requires a keen sense of smell. As a potion master, Snape's nose is naturally sharper than that of a dog.
Charles thought that they would not find out that he came from the island villa, so he made an excuse: "I took the subway to the train station, but I was late."
He then spent a good bit of time explaining to the wizards how crowded the Muggle Underground was.
Professor McGonagall accepted his explanation, but the punishment was still inevitable: he had to work in the kitchen after eating.
The house-elves in the Hogwarts kitchen were well prepared for Charles' arrival and had already prepared the dumpling skins and fillings.
