Chapter 1421 Farewell
Adnan Petrosian was a middle-aged man in his sixties with gray hair on his temples. Although Jack didn't want to admit it, his light golden hair was exactly the same as little Lila's.

The middle-aged woman sitting next to him is his wife Nikola. She might have been a beauty when she was young, but the years have left not only wrinkles on her face, but also bitterness and malice.

"Get out!" Jack said to the middle-aged lawyers who were whispering with two others.

"Who are you? My client has rights." The lawyer's face showed anger and he protested loudly.

"Your client is suspected of hiring a hitman to murder two FBI agents, one of whom had just been released from the ICU, and an innocent woman with the intent to kidnap her baby.

So you can contact your law firm now and ask them to send a team of lawyers over. This is a big order.”

Jack's words made the middle-aged lawyer look surprised but also a little excited. As the saying goes, the higher the waves, the more expensive the fish, and the bigger the case, the more money he makes.

Besides, this kind of case is not just a question of how much money can be made. The Petrosian family is considered a prominent upper class in New York, and the case involves the FBI. It is almost foreseeable how much attention it will attract after the news gets out.

It was definitely not unfair to lose, and winning the lawsuit made me famous overnight.

Of course it was impossible to go out, but the lawyer was not stupid and he took out his cell phone immediately.

"Nonsense." While the lawyer was typing furiously on his cell phone, Adnan Petrosian couldn't help but get furious.

"I don't care who you are, but even the FBI can't slander someone with the last name Petrosin. This is not the Hoover era."

Jack took two steps forward to clear the doorway he was blocking, and Taylor appeared behind him holding little Lila.

When they saw little Lila appear, the couple's faces changed drastically at the same time.

I don't know why, maybe it was because the atmosphere in the room was too tense, or maybe she was frightened by Jack's action of kicking the door open. Little Lila just reacted and burst into tears when she saw the couple.

"You were having an affair with Claudia Cruz, weren't you? You knew she was pregnant, so you made her quit her job ten months ago and rented her an apartment in Brooklyn.

You bribed the clinic's doctor, Adarian, and gave the clinic an extra donation, forcing Claudia to abandon you and her daughter, Lila, after she gave birth."

Jack slapped the testimonies and printed photos, which still smelled of ink, on the table.

Adnan's face turned green and red, and after a long while he nodded with difficulty, "Yes, but Claudia died in a fire accident. I don't know where your series of accusations just now came from. Why would I kidnap my own child!"

Jack snorted coldly and stopped looking at him. Instead, he turned to look at the nervous Nikona, Adnan's wife who had been with him for nearly 30 years.

"I think this question should be answered by Mrs. Petrosin. Am I right? Your fingerprints were found on the murder weapon of Claudia. Those two thugs from the Romanian mafia were also hired by you, right?"

"Nikona, what have you done?" Adnan looked at his wife in disbelief.

Sensing that something was not right, the lawyer quickly interrupted, "Mrs. Petrosin, you have the right to remain silent."

"Get out of here!" Adnan yelled at him.

The lawyer was driven out of the interrogation room in disgrace. Facing her husband's angry eyes, Nikola Petrosin, who knew that the situation was hopeless, was much calmer. "Someone has to help clean up the mess you've made, right? This family, everything, should belong to my son, not to be divided into a large amount for some illegitimate daughter who came out of nowhere in the future."

As the woman spoke, she stared at little Lila in Taylor's arms, her eyes full of resentment.

Seeing that she had given up and admitted everything, Jack secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Although he still had to go to court later, this confession was still crucial.

Although according to Nikona, she found out that Claudia was going to break the agreement and take her daughter back, so she went to her house to question her angrily. The two parties accidentally injured each other during the dispute, so she asked someone to set the scene and destroy the body by setting fire.

But the ash in Claudia's trachea and lungs proved that she was only in a coma and did not die on the spot, so she was definitely not able to escape the charge of first-degree murder.

Although New York State does not have the death penalty, it should not be difficult for prosecutors to send her to life imprisonment if they work hard.

Even if Adnan was willing to help her out because of their long-term marriage, she would be an old woman in her twilight years by the time she was released from prison.

After calling Danny to take Nikola into the detention center, Jack drove to Scranton, Pennsylvania with Taylor and little Lila, and also took Finch and Reese with them.

Although he was the one who took care of the following things, it was the "POI" duo who rescued little Lila in the beginning. Letting them participate in the final cleanup work can be considered a complete process.

It was already late at night when everyone arrived at their destination. Little Lila slept and woke up all the way, and had no idea how bizarre her experiences in the past two days were.

Claudia's parents, the Cruz couple, had been waiting at the door and were so excited that they smiled with tears in their eyes when they saw their granddaughter.

Little Lila was dancing in the baby basket that Finch was carrying, giggling at the people watching her without any fear of strangers.

It's quite interesting to say, except for changing diapers and drinking milk powder, Jack has almost never heard this little baby cry. The only time was when he met the Petrosian family before, which was quite strange.

Taylor stood by the car and watched this scene. He couldn't help but sigh, "Although it's strange to say this, I still want to say that it's really a blessing in disguise that this child can meet you."

"Girls who love to laugh usually have good luck."

After Jack finished speaking, he strode forward and took the opportunity to shake hands and give each of the Cruz couple a long-lasting healing BUFF.

Taking care of a child is a stressful and tiring job. Although the couple are only in their early 50s, Jack still hopes that they can live a few more years in good health and accompany little Lila to grow up safely.

Reese gently rubbed little Lila's chubby cheek with the back of his hand and whispered, "Goodbye, Lila."

"It's a wonderful thing to have a child, isn't it, Reese?" Jack nudged him with his elbow.

"It's not the time yet, but maybe there will be a day when, not just one, preferably a group." Reese still had a stern face, but there was a rare tenderness in his voice.

Finch sighed somewhat inappropriately, "The trouble with having a child is that you don't know what kind of person he will become when he grows up."

Jack raised his eyebrows and whispered, too loud for Taylor to hear from where he was standing, "Are you alluding to the 'machine' baby you created?"
