Chapter 1404 Rossi's Extreme Fans

"So what do you do? A private detective?" Rossi took a sip of the coffee in his hand.

"You can think of it as being similar." The girl's voice was still trembling with nervousness. Jack noticed that her pronunciation was a little strange, a mixture of American and British accents, somewhat similar to what he had learned through exam-oriented education and New Concept English in his previous life.

Rossi continued, "Who do you work for?"

"I'm sorry I can't tell you. My identity is kept strictly confidential." The girl tried to maintain her awkward but polite smile.

Rossi pretended to think and scanned the car, "But you are definitely not the IRS, otherwise my accountant would call me, and it should not be any other federal department.

Although they often send out rookie agents, they shouldn't be so sloppy as to casually throw the subject's information on the passenger seat."

The girl was startled and followed his gaze to the seat next to her, and hurriedly stuffed a folder with the name "David Rossi" on the label into the glove box.

"You're definitely not my cigar seller, because he always delivers them personally, so you might as well just tell your boss behind you. If they want to discuss something, there's no need to be so sneaky, just call me directly."

Jack stood not far away, watching Rossi leave the other party speechless with his soft yet tough words, and shook his head helplessly.

When they both got back into the car, Jack started the car again and asked, "So who do you think the other person is? A rookie private investigator?"

"What's important is the person standing behind her. Maybe she's a criminal I've arrested before, or maybe she's just a crazy fan." Rossi seemed a little troubled.

"A star-chaser? You have such a young and beautiful admirer?" Jack chuckled.

Rossi made a "nude" gesture and said unhappily, "She put such a thick stack of information about me in her car. It obviously took her a lot of effort. This gives me a bad feeling."

"As a semi-public figure, I thought you would have been used to this. Also, don't underestimate today's search engines. You've written so many books under your public identity since retirement, so it shouldn't be difficult to find some background information."

Jack showed him his phone and said, "I took a picture of her license plate number and I'll ask Garcia to check it for you later."

There haven't been many changes in the members of the BAU team. After Jack left and took Jie Jie away with him, Hotchner only recruited Luke Elvis, a handsome Latino guy from the Army Special Forces, as the team's force (Chapter 677).

Jiejie originally assigned part of the work to Emily, and the part of screening cases was given to Garcia.

So now the fat sister often has to go out on business trips, and she no longer needs to envy everyone else for riding in business jets every time they go out.

The rest of the team members haven't changed much. Emily is still single, and Red's little-known girlfriend has now become a big star, but their relationship is surprisingly stable.

Hotchner looked older, which seemed to be related to his recent weight loss. The skin on his face seemed a little loose. Jack took the opportunity of shaking hands to give him a BUFF and did not find anything wrong.

Garcia was still enthusiastic and gave Jack a big hug the first time she saw him. However, her outfit was still hard to describe, with a red shawl, a dark green skirt, and a cute sunflower hairpin on her head.

This lady has a special ability. No matter how eye-catching the outfit is, it will not look out of place on her. It is magical. Dr. Reid is now tending to be a trendy man. He has medium-long hair and a strange half-ponytail style, which is obviously the work of his girlfriend.

After a brief reunion with old friends, everyone presented the case in the conference room that Jack was familiar with as before. The only difference from before was that the person standing in front of the screen holding the laser pen was replaced by Garcia instead of Jiejie.

The identity of the black beauty who followed Rossi is still unknown. Although she doesn't look like a dangerous person, in order to prevent an old man from being stabbed by crazy fans, Jack decided to be his personal bodyguard for two days.

After all, there are many things that are not convenient to talk about on the phone, especially some situations regarding the "POI". Taking this opportunity, the two had many issues to discuss in private.

Garcia showed a bunch of photos from the scene on the screen and began to introduce the new case, "We now have three bodies in Oxnard that are believed to have related causes of death.

The murders were committed about a week apart, all caused by knife wounds, and the characteristic feature was that the bodies were rearranged after death.

The first two victims were men, Kevin Brown and Rick Mendoza, who were killed at home; the third was a woman, Jessica Randall, who was killed last night in the hair salon where she worked.

The city of Victorville is located on the coastline less than 100 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles. It is not a well-known seaside tourist city, but it is said that the overall public security is second to none in California.

Jack flipped through the autopsy photos and was a little shocked at the knife wounds on the bodies. "Crazy and cold-blooded, decisive in slashing. At least one body had more than 10 knife wounds. It doesn't look like a professional, and the style seems to be venting anger."

Rossi turned his gaze away from him with satisfaction. "It seems that those simple wanted criminal pursuits have not degraded your behavioral analysis skills."

Jack gave him a fake smile, which caused a good-natured laugh from the audience. Red scratched his head with the eraser end of his pencil, looking puzzled, not understanding what was so funny.

Hotchner coughed lightly, signaling everyone to focus, "Garcia, what were the occupations of the first two male victims?"

"Kevin works in a hardware store and Rick is a car mechanic. I don't think there seems to be any connection, except that they are both service industries." Garcia shrugged.

"Maybe the suspect is their client, and the murderer had a dispute with them before. Maybe we can cross-check the appointment registration list." Reid said.

"We're already working on it, but nothing has been found yet," Garcia replied.

Rossi frowned as he flipped through the files. "The three victims are both male and female, so gender is not a key factor, but we cannot rule out the possibility of random crimes. The three crime scenes are not far from each other."

Red quickly marked three crime scenes on the map of Oxnard and calculated, "The two farthest ones are only three miles apart."

"In the first two cases, the killer climbed in through the back window of the house. The one in the hair salon happened just last night, so the scene is still under investigation."

All the cases selected by Garcia need to be reviewed twice by the supervisor, Hotchner, so he knows the situation earlier than everyone else.
