The interrogation begins in Chapter 122.

Inside a Santana car at the entrance of the Connor Group.

While eating bread, Chen Shu flipped through the statements and case files of several people.

Li Meng looked conflicted: "We're already at the entrance of their workplace, why aren't we going in to arrest them?"

He is too difficult.

He kept shouting to arrest the suspect, but Chen Shu didn't bother him. When the suspect gave up and was about to drop the case, Chen Shu dragged him to the suspect's workplace.

Once he finally mustered the energy to arrest people again, Chen Shu sat leisurely eating bread in front of the other person's workplace.

The office door was closed, but a group of workers wearing blue uniforms with the words "Connor Corporation" emblazoned on them were crowding outside. They were jostling to peer inside through the floor-to-ceiling window by the door.

Inside the office, a middle-aged man in a suit sat in a chair, looking timidly at the two police officers in uniform before him: "What are you doing? I didn't rape anyone!"

He paused, then repeated weakly, "I didn't use a bow!"

"Boom!" The crowd outside the window stirred slightly for a moment, then quickly quieted down.

Chen Shu took out the elevator photos involved in the case and placed them on the table in front of the man, pointing with his finger: "Xu Long, take a look for yourself."

Xu Long didn't dare reach out. He quickly glanced at the photos on the table and immediately fell silent. However, he didn't budge an inch from his seat.

Standing opposite Xu Long, Chen Shu bent down and leaned forward, placing his hands on the desk. He stared into Xu Long's eyes and slowly said, word by word, "You have two choices now. One, cooperate with us obediently; two, let us take you away obediently."

Since you're going to leave anyway, I advise you to save some face.

Xu Long's pupils constricted. He stood up slightly but then slumped back into his chair, his lips trembling. "I didn't, I really didn't. I thought she wanted to too."

Chen Shu watched coldly without saying a word.

This time, he didn't have to wait long. After hesitating for a moment, Xu Long struggled to stand up, gritted his teeth, and followed the police out the door with trepidation.

Chen Shu glanced at Li Meng, who had insisted on squeezing into the interrogation room: "What are you doing in here? Why haven't you left yet?"

Li Meng replied naturally, "Aren't you just here to make a statement? We happen to have two police officers."

He leaned close to him mysteriously and whispered, "Why did it take so long to interrogate him? Are you trying to put invisible pressure on him, forcing him to put pressure on himself?"

Chen Shu was both amused and exasperated: "I'm sleepy, I want to go to sleep!"

Li Meng said "Oh" and sat back down, turned on her computer, opened her laptop, sat up straight, and looked like she had Chen Shu completely under her thumb.

Chen Shu couldn't figure out what this deputy captain of the Criminal Investigation Brigade was up to, why he had been following him around all day.

He shook his head, temporarily putting the matter aside, and began to look directly at Xu Long, the suspect in the archery case, who was sitting in the center of the interrogation room. "Name," Chen Shu asked methodically.

"Huh?" Xu Long didn't react.

"Snapped!"

Chen Shu slammed his hand on the table and shouted, "I'm asking you! Your name!"

Xu Long was startled, wondering why the police officer who had called him by name that afternoon was now asking for his name again.

He dared not question it, and his reply was barely audible: "Xu Long."

Chen Shu shouted angrily, "Louder!"

Xu Long was startled again and answered in a shrill voice, "Officer, my name is Xu Long, Xu Long!"

Chen Shu nodded in satisfaction. The show of force before the interrogation seemed to have worked quite well.

His demeanor was decent. However, these were all overused interrogation techniques by the criminal investigation team. Li Meng, standing to the side, was used to it and touched her nose.

He didn't think much about it. Since graduating from the police academy, Chen Shu had been working his way up in the police station, but he had never stepped into the criminal investigation university.

Chen Shu stepped down from the interrogation table and slowly circled around the chair where Xu Long was sitting.

Xu Long's eyes followed Chen Shu's figure, cold sweat dripping from his forehead, his hands clenched into fists on the small table on the interrogation chair, his fingertips turning white.

The interrogation room was unusually quiet, with only the creaking of Chen Shu's leather shoes on the wooden floor.

"Officer, I really didn't use a gun."

Xu Longxian couldn't help but break the silence of the interrogation room.

"Oh? Are you sure? You didn't see that photo?" Chen Shu asked with a playful expression.

Xu Long glanced at the surveillance camera in the upper left corner, pursed his lips, and after a long pause, finally spoke with difficulty: "I'm sure, absolutely sure. We were just joking around. I gave her the money back later, I compensated her."

Chen Shu pointed a finger at Xu Long's forehead, and Xu Long's head swayed back and forth as he was touched, but he dared not resist in the slightest, or rather, he forgot to resist.

"You were drinking that day. Are you sure your memory is clearer than the CCTV footage? Are you really sure?"

That smile, like a firelight in the darkness, prompted him to instinctively reach out and grab it.
