Chapter 74: The Long March of Love with Pepper

Tony was kicked out of Obadiah's office in disgrace. Fortunately, the office was well soundproofed and no one knew about the scolding he received.

After he left, Obadiah began to call his confidants one by one, trying to win them over, make promises, and warn them to prevent them from being divided by Tony.

After Pepper took the flowers, she threw them into the trash can and sneered:

"Don't say that, Pepper. It makes me feel like a scumbag." Tony smiled and gave Pepper a hug. "I'm serious. I plan to let you take a three-month vacation."

Tony repeated to Pepper what he had said to Obadiah before.

"Really? Aren't you just trying to find an excuse to get rid of me and replace me with a young and beautiful female secretary?" Pepper stared at Tony with suspicion.

"Of course not. Pepper, you have been doing a great job and saving me a lot of time. How could I bear to replace you?"

"Okay, I accept your compliment. Normally, you wouldn't do that, but when you get excited, I'm not sure." Pepper's eyes were still full of doubts.

Tony felt wronged. He raised his hands and complained helplessly: "Damn it! Why don't you believe me when I tell the truth?"

"You guys? Who else have you said this to?" Pepper was even more unconvinced.

"It's Obadiah!" Tony sat on the sofa in frustration and recounted what had just happened in Obadiah's office.

"I really want you to have a healthier body, I really mean it! I have personally experienced the benefits of practicing Ultimate Infinite Qigong, and it is absolutely true. But why do you always feel that I want to take away your jobs?"
